Handy, quiet and with lovely staff. Room was clean and spacious with plug points in convenient places. Ann on the front desk went out her way to be helpful and would highly recommend a stay there if you're heading down.
"Great choice for a fantastic city"

Brilliant 3 star option close to Waverley station and Princes street. The entrance alley was no problem, as long as you know what to expect. The staff were really friendly and the room was clean with a great view towards Carlton Hill and Arthur's Seat. The Travelodge hotels are basic but have everything you need for a great price- will definitely stay here again.
"excellent stay in the centre of Edinburgh"

had a wonderful time in Edinburgh at the princes street central Travelodge very handy to Waverley station as we travelled by train for our mid week break. the reception staff were so helpful Caroline was very informative, This was our second trip to Edinburgh and second stay at this Travelodge. The lane outside was a little untidy with quite a lot of large bins.
"Great customer service"

From the start of our stay we were greeted with excellent customer service. Alan and Samuel handled an extremely difficult situation with manners and efficiency and made me feel that I wasn't being ignored. A basic but comfortable hotel, very clean, brilliant location and with the best staff. Would happily stay again :-)
"Convenient and great value"

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It was extremely good value and very convenient. It is just a few yards from the main station and buses. The staff were very helpful, providing hairdryer and extra towels on request. There are building works going on outside but they didn't affect us.

We stayed here for a girls weekend; ideal location although a little noisy during the night (to be expected I suppose considering the location!) a great base to explore Edinburgh, the hotel is directly across the road from the train station, close to shops and some great bars nearby The room was very clean and the bed quite comfy, can't grumble really considering the price we paid!
"EMF 2014 hotel"

The hotel staff themselves were incredibly friendly and accomodating in the brief time we spent there. They provided us with a room with a great view back over the city. The room was on the top floor, but there were leaks in the roof; and the hotel doesn't have it's on restaurant facilities.
"Great location, not so great family rooms!!"
10/13/14 Cumbrian41 Carlisle, United Kingdom
We have stayed at this travelodge before & thought it was great, brilliant location, bargain prices, helpful staff. However on this occasion we were slightly disappointed with one of the rooms! Booked two family rooms (as twins) on arrival when we went into the rooms, one had a double & single sofa bed, but the other had a double & a single mattress on the floor!! When we mentioned it to the receptionist we were told that we should have booked a twin & that a mattress on the floor is acceptable for a family room, we don't agree. It didn't spoil our trip to Edinburgh, as its a lovely city, but we probably would have stayed elsewhere if we had known in advance.
"Good for a short stay"

Good central location although entrance down the lane past rubbish skips not particularly pleasant. Room and linen very clean. One couple in our party had a room looking onto Princes St and were awakened several times during the night / early morning by 'revellers' in the street below. Plenty of places to eat roundabout if looking for a breakfast.

stayed here for 1 night, and it was great value, also the location was really central. you could find it a bit difficult to find although it,s called premier inn princes street its actually behind princes st up a lane. room was fine for 3 of us we had a family roo and it had everything we needed, also was very clean and we had lots of tea/coffee etc would stay here again , as the price was the main reason we stayed, staff were fine and all in all would recommend.only down side is it,s not a very nice entrance as the lane is ful of wheely bins and could be a bit intimidating when you return at night if you were on your own, otherwise no complaints at all. and the beds were very comfortable
