The Centra Taum hotel is a beautiful hotel at first sight, but it is not yet completed and is lacking several very important finishing touches. For example, neither the doors or the balcony doors are completely sealed off when closed allowing a free flow of mosquitos into your room. In addition, i have stayed in several rooms at this hotel and the various […] tv channels only work in some rooms and the wifi only works in the rooms closest to the reception. A last negative remark is that there is plenty of staff, yet service is still lacking. Despite these remarks however, the hotel does offer value for money as it is located in central Seminyak, close to shops, great restaurants and the beach. However, the hotel lies quite far down an old backroad with several stray dogs roaming around so i would recommend getting a taxi at night time. All in all, i would recommend this hotel to travellers on a budget, as it is great value for money, and it is likely to only get better once the construction work finishes. Read more

The Centra Taum hotel is a beautiful new hotel with great rooms and a nice pool area. It is definitively a great bargain, and we can recommend it to anyone! STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THERE IS NOTHING TO DO EXCEPT SWIM OR SIT IN YOUR ROOM. THE WORST PART, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE OF EATING IN- OR OUTDOORS. YOU ARE FORCED TO SIT OUTSIDE AND EAT ICE COLD MEALS. NOW, THE FOOD!. WE WERE ASSURED OF A BUFFET BREAKFAST WHICH WAS UNTRUE. WE HAD A CHOICE OF 2 CEREALS, 4 FRUITS, SLICED BREAD & ROLLS, 2 WATERY JUICES, […] 3 SALAD INGREDIENTS & COFFEE(SEE THROUGH). THEN WE COULD CHOOSE HOW WE WANT OUR 2 EGGS DONE WITH A CHOICE OF 3 OF THE OTHER 6 ITEMS. ( A 1/4 SL/TOAST & BEANS, BEEF/CHICKEN SAUSAGE (THE SIZE OF MY PINKIE), 1 SLICE OF DRIED BACON, ONE SPOON OF FRD POTATO OR 1 SLICE FRD TOMATO). NO CHANGE EVER!! AT THE POOL I ORDERED A JUICE. AFTER REPEATEDLY ASKING THE WAITER IF IT WAS PURE JUICE OR WITH ADDED WATER, HE ASSURED ME IT WAS FRESHLY SQUEEZED, WITHOUT WATER. AFTER DRINKING OF THIS PINEAPPLE JUICE, I OFFERED MY WIFE & DAUGHTER A TASTE. WE ALL AGREED THAT IT HAD WATER IN. AFTER FINISHING IT, I CONFRONTED THE WAITER.
