Hotel Indigo Berlin – Alexanderplatz - Berlin

Very nice hotel and relatively reasonably priced for Berlin, but the rooms are tiny. It helps if you have small amount of luggage. There is hardly any room for a large piece of luggage. Otherwise no complaints.

The hotel is conveniently located for all kind of sightseeing, be it by organized tour, or on your own by doppeldecker bus and/or tram. Staff was very friendly, accommodating and able to give recommendations for leisure time in Berlin. Rooms were modern, clean, quiet (despite a tram occasionally passing by) and comfortable. Very nice, almost new hotel. Convenient to both the U-Bahn and S-Bahn and within walking distance of most major attractions. Breakfast is spendy (we went across the street to the cafe). Most of the restaurant activity is several blocks away. On the whole, we would definitely stay here again.

Little space in the room. There were no closets! Also, the temperature was too warm, and it was not possible to adjust the AC into a lower degree, but only turn it off and open the window, which let the noise in. Besides of that, the staff was excellent, the breakfast superb

This building used to be a Holiday Inn and now Indigo took over half the building. Construction work was on-going during our stay so we were worked at 8 a.m. every morning. Breakfast was great but hotel is not up to usual Indigo standard having stayed at other properties.

I wasn't sure what part of the city to stay in when I went to Berlin. For part of my trip I stayed on the Kurfurstendamm and also in this hotel. I preferred this location. The hotel is an easy five minute walk from Alexanderplatz. Apparently the hotel is brand new--I think they said it opened in April 2012. I got a little nervous when I saw the tram […] tracks running right next to the building. But, I had a room on the interior courtyard and it was very quiet and had a great air conditioning and heating system and a very comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly too. The breakfast was very good. The shower was excellent. I was there by myself and while the room was not very large, it was stylish and comfortable. I would highly recommend walking to Prenzlauer Berg (not the street named Prenzlauer Berg, but the neighborhood just north of Senefelderpl. U Bahn, for lunch or dinner. Excellent cafes and restaurants and a nice relaxed neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again. Read more

Everything, absolutely everything, was great concerning our stay at Hotel Indigo. The hotel staff were great, very nice and helfpul. When we arrived, we where offered complimentary drinks at the hotel bar. The room was nice, clean, tidy. The only drawback was the glass window (!) between the bathroom and the bedroom, only partly covered with a painting. […] However, we didn't care about that, but maybe others do. We arrived at Schönefeld Airport and took an express train directly to Alexanderplatz, took approx 15-20 min and cost EUR 3. When going back, we departed from Tegel Airport. Took a bus from Alexanderplatz, the travel took approx 30 min and cost EUR 3. Very convenient! Don't miss the cosy restaurants, cafés, and shops around Kollwitzplatz and Kastanienallee. Read more

Hotel Indigo far surpassed our expectations as far as the building and room went...LOVE the modern decor and the staff was extremely nice. Nice workout room down below, too, and the Aveda products in the bathroom rocked. The only downside was no available parking. We had to park our car in a lot two blocks away for 5 euros a day or an underground lot […] for 20 euros a day. The Hotel is very nice, has a good breakfast buffet and has a very modern design which also goes for the restaurant and bar area. The room however was disappointing small making it difficult to move around and I lacked a decent desk and chair for sitting with my laptop. At one day I left 8 a.m. and when I returned at 2 p.m. the room eas not cleaned. […] I left again at 4.30 p.m. and the room was not cleaned at all that day. The rooms are beautifully furnished but be aware that they are tiny! You can barely fit your suitcase in the standard room, and the double room isn't much bigger. Also, the shower is in the middle of the room, with glass walls. Location is great.

Very helpful front desk staff, advising and helping with daily tickets (you can buy from the front desk). One night I woke with a splitting headache, didn't have any painkillers, the front desk didn't have any, and probably most hotels can't give these out anyway, but helped us send a taxi to pick up a pack from a 24 hour pharmacy - turned into a bit […] of a joke with the taxi taking about an hour and a half to get them! The front desk was on the phone to the taxi company regularly and called up to apologise about the delay, then wrote up a complaint about the taxi company who eventually delivered, wasn't much more they could do we thought! Central hotel, easy and cheap bus journey from the airport and short walk to hotel, all tram / subway / buses nearby, and a quick walk to the shops, restaurants and bars of Mitte. Read more

Ideal hotel situated in East Berlin, close to transport links (in particular the bus from Tegel airport. The service was friendly and the room spotless/stylish with a lovely comfy bed. We were offered an upgrade on arrival which was lovely, although this did turn out to be to a smaller room (allbeit on a higher floor). It is a shame the reception staff […] didn't mention the club opposite the front of the hotel that plays a loud beat until the very early hours of the morning - 6/7am. Love the Indigo for it's hip look and feel but most importantly its great rooms. This one didn't disappoint, had everything we needed, great 10th floor spacious room and balcony and good staff. Watch out for the cocktails, the bar staff don't show any restraint with the alcohol....

This ultra-modern hotel was in a great location for public transport and close to restaurants and some shops. The decor was very trendy although those of a prudish disposition may not have appreciated the glass wall between the shower and the bedroom although a painting on it did help to provide some coverage! The staff were very friendly and helpful, […] the bar was excellent with a lively atmosphere, cool music and great cocktails and the steak restaurant was very welcome when we arrived late on the first night. The room was small but looked great and was perfectly adequate for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable although the pillows were far too soft and the room was far too warm and the air conditioning made it worse. The hotel was clean and tidy, it was also extremely modern and quite. Staff we're always on hand to help and overall we enjoyed our experience. The only downfall was that it was within walking distance from the hostel and during Thurs - Sunday a lot of people hung about in the streets.

Excellent hotel in great location, reception staff all speak English and very helpful. Room service excellent and prompt (treated ourselves to a lazy Sunday morning breakfast) before going walkabout. Glass panel in bathroom unusual but you get used to it!

Great hotel, staff all very helpful and good location close to Alexander Platz underground station. The bedroom was very well equiped if a little small - okay for a couple of nights stay but any longer you'd be very cramped as very little wardrobe and draw space. Within the bedroom the ensuite was a shower room with glass panel (with a greek god transparancy […] transfered on to the screen) between the bedroom and bathroom. This is a very new hotel. The room was excellent and the staff extremely helpful. ( I had a problem with the coffee maker in the room reported it at reception by the time got back to the room someone was there to help) Location is excellent very handy for Alexanderplatz station for U2 underground and direct trains every half an hour to airport

Flott, koselig og moderne hotell som ligger svært sentralt ift shopping og infrastruktur. Eneste minus var en noe kaotisk frokostsal når det var stort belegg, samt at trikken går rett utenfor rommene på den ene siden. Ikke noe stort problem for oss, men den var merkbar. Alt i alt et meget bra hotell for en bra pris!

Pluss for pene og stilmessige "rene" rom. Stort minus i å presentere rom i de lux-klassen som romslig og god plass på 25 kv.meter når det da knapt kunne være hele arealet inkl. bad og gang. Vi klaget, men fikk som svar at dette stemte. Standardrom var mye mindre!? Hvordan en skulle komme inn der med 7 kv.meter mindre plass skjønner jeg ikke. Rigtig god service fra personalet og flotte og rene værelser. Eneste minus er beliggenheden. Selvom hotellet ligger enormt centralt et stenkast fra Alexanderplatz, så er placeringen lige ved siden er en sporvognsbane der er døgnbetjent ikke til at abstrahere fra, når man skal sove. Syns det var et fint rent og hyggelig hotel å bo på som jeg gjerne kunne tenke meg å på bo igjen. Det eneste jeg virkelig savner er en helt enkel matbutikk/supermarked i nærheten. Det var 3 sentre med gåavstand fra hotellet, det ene senteret hadde en gourmet matbutikk som var helt ok, men hadde vært greit med en vanlig også. Det er masse resturanter […] i nærheten, og gode muligheter for å komme seg rundt i byen, taxi, trikk, tbane osv. Anbefaler sterkt og ta taxi in til Kadawe shopping sentere, hvor det er MYE flotte bygninger og et veldig vennlig og fint turistområde. Tilbake til hotelrommet, litt trangt å gå mellom sengene, men ikke et problem, rommet var moderne og fint, og badet hadde en fancy glassvegg mellom soverommet og dusjen. Read more
