The hotel, bar & food quality is excellent. Set in a rural area with easy acess to motorway. Would reccomend this hotel if in the area. Our stay was only 1 night as we were travelling. Excellent value.

We felt that we had found a little slice of heaven at the Buck House Hotel. We were treated as long-lost cousins in this absolutely beautiful little village next to the River Dee. We received service beyond any we had dreamed of expecting. It was quaint with lovely food served downstairs in the pub by Karen, her Mum and their assistants.

The hotel is wonderful, Very old and historic, dont think I have stayed anywhere this old, but very comfortable. The only probelm is parking in the area... is a nightmare and costly. The only thing that the room was short of was tea bags! I am not a coffee drinker, there were great coffee making facilities, even a caffetiere, but no tea bags! Loved the cooked breakfast, but dined elsewhere on the saturday evening as the menu was abit too 'cheffy' for our tastes, prefer more traditional fayre. The hotel, staff and rooms were really, really nice. We had a lovely night and a terrific breakfast to start the day. It is right in the centre of Shrewsbury and easy to get anywhere you require.

This was an excellent hotel & a great find. A historic building with lots of history to explore in very pleasant surroundings just off the main shopping centre. Very quiet & peaceful. Parking available at the rear, (request this when you book as spaces limited) but ample parking in the shopping centre car park a few feet further.
