Beautiful location, however it is a number of single track lanes to get there. Very friendly and helpful inn keepers. Great breakfast. Enjoyable to walk the 240 acre farm. Convenient to other local sights in Devon.

very pleasant. we stayed here last year and the hotel has been nicely upgraded. English Breakfast was very nice and less greasy than you might expect.Easy and short work to the center of Exeter.

This is a lovely hotel. We have stayed there a couple of times before and even though is was a "budget room" we had a sea view and it was also a large room. The only let down was the shower which was definitely not as goos as it could have been.The service was friendly and welcoming and the place had a good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

This attractive town on the river Exe grew rich from wool in the 17th and 18th centuries (to learn more visit the excellent local museum), hence its many fine period buildings. Sights include the fortified manor houses of Tiverton Castle and Bickleigh Castle, and Knightshayes Court, a Victorian country house with rich interiors and a fine garden. Beautiful Exmoor National Park, with its wild scenery, walks and villages begins nine miles east.

A lovely bank holiday weekend break!...Jim and his wife were very friendly and breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Our room with twin beds and an en-suite was very pretty and the beds were really comfortable. The shower was a little on the cool side but that was a minor thing. "Very cosy and comfortable"
Hotel is located near town center yet far enough away from any noise. Has a traditional character to it and is brags pleasant urban surroundings. Very clean and overall a very comfortable stay. Got to the hotel in the dark and found it quite easily via the sign on the main road but when parked in the carpark it was pitch black and there was only the light from the hotel windows to guide you in. I suggest an automatic PIR flood light would help in the winter months. The decor is tired but the welcome is warm and friendly. The room again was […] spacious but decor was tired. You are off the beaten track a little here so no traffic noise but when a toilet is flushed to either side or above you definitely know about it. Evening meal was home cooked and ok, the breakfast was nice.
