      Hearty, gourmet food - best on entire trip!! Extraordinarily helpful hosts at front desk who helped research bus schedules and gave a lift to town. Local bus stop very near. Lovely walking trails at nearby manor house gardens.

    It was the most basic B&B that I have stayed in. Friendly. A choice of breakfast would have been nice with a choice of how i would like my egg cooked, because the offer was not given I assumed that it was take it or leave it, as it happens I am not that fussy when it comes to food but there are a lot of people out there that are. The room never had […] a TV, clock or radio but did have tea/ coffee making facilities. Heating was off it was chilly for the time of year and should have been taken into account. It was too cold to have a shower but that was just as well as there was no shower/shampoo offerings either. However £30 for that area was cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for _ Basic Read more

    The hosts were wonderful, very friendly and hospitable. The inn itself was very nice - clean and quaint. I just did not realize how remote Polbathic is. I think it is only a convenient place to stay if you have your own transportion. I arrived on a Sunday and the only place to have dinner was a pub in a nearby town, so I had to take a taxi. Walking […] from the train station to the Inn was dangerous - narrow village lane with high shrubbery on each side so I wasn't visible to drivers. I was worried. But as for the inn itself and the propiertors, no complaints :) Read more
