I chose this hotel because I wanted to be in a more remote countryside location. This place did not dissapoint. We had a beautiful view from our room and the breakfast room. It was also not too far away from some small towns for food and activities. The room was comfortable and clean though the bed was a little too soft for us. With the exception of that, everything else was wonderful. The breakfast was also very good and they had options. Something I was very apreciative for as the full English breakfast is a bit heavy for me in the morning. Owners were very nice and helpful with great suggestions for food and driving directions. Would recomend this location to others and we plan to stay here again.

We liked the room; very spacious with a great bathroom. Just barely out of comfortable walking distance to the pier & village w/ our two young children. The staff was properly polite, but we felt out of place having our kids with us. We didn't know about the evening dinner dress code until after we arrived. Judging by some of the guests waiting, we felt unwelcome & went out for dinner. Breakfast was good, but we had to wait quite a while before our order was taken. There should have been more than one person able to take an order when guests arrive close to each other. I think it's perfect for travelling with friends or as a couple.

We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The pool was great. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the splash pool. The steam room and hot tub were wonderful. We wished they could be open a little later. The bunk beds were loved and the surprise cookie for the kids in the afternoon was a great treat! Shower was easy to work & had nice water pressure. The staff were very nice & helpful. The restaurant had good food and good service.

We were welcomed by Jo, one of the hotel owners. She was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room decor was pleasant and although the bathroom was small this didn't bother us too much. The B&B was very close to the bars and restaurants within Windemere which was great. Jo and Alan provided a welcome pack which was very useful. As it contained […] details of restaurants and local taxi numbers. We did fancy going to Villa Positano as it had great reviews. After spending 2 hours trying to get through to book a table we gave up. Jo told us the next morning that it was closed on Wednesdays (perhaps this is something that should be included within the welcome pack)! If you are planning to venture out of Windemere and require a taxi definitely book your taxi in advance as they seem to be very busy of an evening and 30/45 minute wait seems to be the norm. The B&B is basic but certainly value for money. If you want to save your cash to have more money to spend on enjoying the local facilities I would definitely recommend this B&B. It does what it says on the tin and provides a bed & breakfast. Oh and I actually had a proper key for my door rather than a silly plastic card that almost never works!! Read more

Lovely for a couple of nights. Room a bit small for longer. We had lovely weather so were out most of the time. No lounge, and space in room very limited. Really nice people and nicely cooked food. Very well situated. The room was very clean. Lovely bed linen.
