SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh Latrobe - Latrobe

Beautiful new(ish) hotel about an hour's drive from the Pittsburgh airport. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included in the rate, and the hotel is close to restaurants for dinner. The hotel serves a limited menu, as well. Would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt at ease. The women at the front desk welcomed us, asked if we had ever stayed there before & then proceeded to offer directions to all of the hotels ammenities. New property, very clean, classy, upscale hotel with an average price. Big and roomy , clean and modern rooms. Great free breakfast , many varieties foods. Nice small gym, but small swimming pool. Not many restaurant around, but the surrounding view is beautiful.

We loved the little pool, spectacular breakfast, & beautiful modern features. We only stayed one night as we were passing through from Indiana to Philadelphia (visiting family in Greensburg). We would have been very comfortable staying much longer. The only thing we missed was a bathtub... also there were no vents in the bathroom & toilet room (which […] are separate). We booked blind and were very happily surprised when we arrived. What a wonderful experience we had. The only "con" I saw was with the breakfast. The breakfast area was clean and there was a range of choices however, when we arrived for breakfast, there were no eggs and no plates. There was no one "hovering" to anticipate the problems and needs so I […] had to go up to the main desk to let them know. It rather surprised me as I have stayed in lesser hotels which had someone whose sole responsibility was to make sure everything was covered at breakfast. Our stay was very pleasant. The kids enjoyed the pool, although on the small side, it is enough to release some energy from the kids. The hotel bar was reasonably priced, while the food was average. Very close to the college and Idlewild park. Close to the airport, which is good and bad. Heard airplanes, especially in the morning. The sound was muffled […] though, like a rumble of thunder in the distance, certainly didn't detract from our stay. We had 2 adjoining rooms which was very pleasant. Loved the modern decor and the golf theme in the hallways and lobby. Being from Latrobe originally, is was nice to see Arnold Palmer memorabilia throughout. Would recommend, and likely stay again.
