"Nice hotel in pleasant grounds"
Nice hotel, good clean rooms. The only let down was the restaurant. We were the only two in it to start with. Were at our table at 18.30 and didn't get anything to eat until 19.30. Both fish dishes were a little over cooked and very salty. I ordered two glasses of wine, both of which I had to send back as they smelt and tasted stale. The youngsters […] serving the wine obviously did not know there wine at all and should not have served it up as you could tell it wasn't right just by the smell. The very pleasant young lady serving us completely forgot us twice. Once for the menu, the second time I had to find her to remind her that we had asked for the desert menu 20 mins ago. The breakfast was excellent each morning with good service. Overall I would say that we had poor service from very nice people. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet getaway hotel near Heacham"
This is a relatively small hotel with recently added bedrooms and beauty treatment rooms. The original hotel building where reception the bar restaurant and lounge are located is a handsome old stone and tile construction. Interior decor is a bit staid but smart. Staff are helpful and efficient. Breakfast is a bit limited but offers a good an array […] of cooked options and continental style buffet. Bedrooms are clean tidy and simply furnished with no wifi but lan ports. Wifi is available in the lounge bar etc. The treatment suite is reasonably priced. Heacham and Hunstanton are about a 20 minute walk away. The hotel is well worth considering for a reasonably priced golfing or quiet getaway. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in The Manor Suite which was spacious and light. The 4poster bed had a terrible mattress which was made worse with a ill fitting topper. Carpet was badly fitted and in need of stretching to remove the bagging. The wash basin tap was a disaster, it only cleared the edge by millimeters and to make matters worse diverted the water inwards so […] the water went down the overflow at the back. The shower/ bath mixer had no instructions and it took ages to figure out the diverter is on the end of the filler. We decided to eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. Whilst I has asking the receptionist for more tea bags and milk (the hotel uses thermos flasks) my wife walked into the dining area and sat at one of the tables. There were over 15 tables and only 1 other diner. I walked over to the table where upon a young waitress came over and in a very angry tone started to tell us off for not waiting at the sign in the hallway. She then told us that we had to get up and walk all the way back out and stand by the sign. I told my wife not to go as it was stupid to walk all the way out only then to walk all the way back so that the waitress could see which table we had been allocated to. Why couldn't we just remain at our table the waitress just change the table numbers I've no idea but perhaps customer service is not a priority. It left my wife feeling rather embarrassed by the whole experience and spoilt what had been a lovely break. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic hotel, i will definitely use again."
What a lovely clean hotel with excellent staff and service. The restaurant is fantastic with a great choice from the evening menu, breakfast menu is very good. I would love to know the make of the mattress as it was so comfortable. Hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Large, comfortable if old-fashioned room. Large clean bathroom but toilet squashed in so tightly that you have to sit sideways! Service relentlessly chirpy and professional but impersonal. Food pleasant - like a home-cooked meal. Constant piped music in dining room very annoying. Hotel fine for one night but would not have wished to pay full price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A very peaceful and pleasant location. Friendly and efficient staff.Would benefit from in room wi fi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
good room , imaginative foodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for three nights and had dinner in the restaurant on two nights. Our room (four poster) was quite large and was well furnished and very clean. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice stay, only problem we had was a lack of fridge in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful hotel, welcoming staff and excellent service. The Room was lovely and clean and extremely comfortable, with home made cookies provided everyday. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was disappointing and did not taste very nice, but the rest was very good. Breakfast made up for by the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice overall, food was great, nice setting. Only problem for me was that we had a standard room in the new block which was in the roof line of the building. The roof rooms get very hot and remain hot into the night. Other than that would highly recommendGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient for visit to Sandringham"
We were dissapointed that we were allocated a room in adjacent cottage complex, and not in main hotel. We had to carry our bags for 50/60 yards and then negotiate a narrow steep 180 degree turn stair. Not easy for 70 and 76 year olds carrying bags. No one offered to carry our bags. The room was pleasant enough, but we think that only one chair in a […] double room is not enough. On check-in we ordered a newspaper for the following morning. We did not receive it, and on enquiry, were told that it had been put on order fot the wrong day. The restaurant, and the serving staff there were very good for breakfast.. We feel that we should have been informed about the room situation when booking. We would have had second thoughts. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We went for a night away with friends to celebrate a birthday. Lovely, small hotel, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, rooms small but very comfortable. The four poster room was lovely. Food in restaurant at dinner was nice, but not great. Breakfast was very good. Overall a lovely stay but probably a little overpriced .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely hotel, great food and friendly staff"

Stayed for our anniversary in a dog friendly suite in the grounds, with our golden retriever and had a fabulous time. Staff were lovely and very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Service was a little slow in the restaurant, though it was full on a Tuesday evening so I would suggest following the hotel's advice to book! The room was large, modern and clean and opened out on to the golf course. Wifi for Apple devices is just in the bar and lounge areas though reception did offer to supply a cable for the room for laptops. Dogs can only sit with you on the outside bar terraces, not a problem for us in the sunshine but something to be aware of if considering an autumn/winter break.

It was bank holiday weekend and we decided to go to Norfolk just a few weeks previously. It was very difficult to find a place and were pleased to get the last room at Heacham Manor for Saturday and Sunday nights. The hotel was easy to find, just off the main road and marked by an easy to see sign. The reception staff was friendly and welcoming and showed us around the main building. We had a drink at the bar both nights and enjoyed the bartender and nice comfortable furnishings. The golf course views from the bar and restaurant were lovely. Our room in the Samphire cottage was not overly large, but it was clean, nicely and tastefully decorated, and there was lots of room to put suitcases and stuff. The bathroom was a reasonable size, nicely decorated and spotless. The shower flow was hard, perfect for washing long hair. The bed was comfortable, and there was a nice ocean view in the distance out the front window, and we had a nice walk out to the beach. The only negative is that there is no WIFI or cell phone in the room, which would have been nice although we were able to access service in the main building and took advantage of this option several times. However, by far the best part of this hotel was the fantastic Norfolk breakfast. Wow. It was just the right amount of food, and everything tasted great. There was nothing left on our plates either day. The coffee was the only thing not up to standard at this very good to excellent. The price was very reasonable for what you get.

Just returned from a mini break with my husband at the Heacham Manor Hotel, we had a lovely weekend. The hotel is really nice (our room was spotless) in a lovely setting; staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. We dined in the restaurant and had one of the best evening meals we've ever eaten. First class food and staff service; Alex in particular. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel offers spa facilities and an additional bar as well as the impressive golf course. We will definitely stay again in the future and make the most of the excellent facilities. Thanks to all.
"Lovely Lunchtime Experience"

Came with friends for lunch in the Conservatory Restaurant. Had drinks first in the Bar served by friendly staff. Lunch was taken from the special offer menu of two courses including Tea or Coffee for £ 11.95 per person. Excellent value with good freshly cooked food, choice of 4 starters & mains with good portions. A reasonably priced wine list added to the pleasure. Lovely setting overlooking the golf course. Nice outdoor seating area by the bar for the warm days.
"Family Suite with our dog"

We have just returned from Heacham Manor after a 3 night break. A retired couple travelling with our dog so we were allocated a downstairs family suite in the annex. I was a bit doubtful but had no reason to worry. The suite was spotlessly clean, (I have to say I am picky) We had a bathroom, a wet room, a huge bed, a small lounge/diner and a kitchen with microwave, full sized oven, fridge and toaster - a wonderful base for a small family. The short walk to the hotel for our meals was no effort and our dog loved the walks around the rough on the golf course. Meals were very good with a varied menu to suit all tastes. My quail starter was very moorish! The young waiting staff added to the pleasure of mealtimes. Attentive, professional and approachable. Alex ticked all the boxes. The hotel was very well situated to beaches, reserves and many good pubs from Hunstanton up to Salthouse. We will definitely be returning. I understand that guests staying in suites were given free admission to the local activity/pool centre.

Stayed two nights 2nd & 3rd August. Hotel is lovely - staff are a good team - very welcoming and friendly - Alex in particular is a star - concerned that people enjoy their time at the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meals in the restaurant were amazing, breakfast great, our room was spotless, very comfortable and we had a thoroughly relaxing time. What more can I say - we will definitely return.
We've been here quite a few times for meals, they are excellent and the staff are lovely and friendly. We try to come 2/3 monthly, even though it takes us 3/4 hours to get here by car! But we'll worth it - NEED I SAY MORE?
"A fab couple of nights away!"
08/12/14 lifeanna Northants
We have just returned home from a wonderful couple of nights at this hotel. We booked fairly last minute for a short break with our two children (aged five and two). We stayed in a family suite and were so impressed - it was spotless with everything you could possibly need for a family stay. The beds were really comfy. The staff were so friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. We were a bit worried about staying in a 'posh' hotel with our two young children but we didn't feel out of place at all. The breakfast was really good too with a great choice. We were able to use the near by holiday park which was great for the kids with swimming pools and entertainment but feel like we had a real treat ourselves too staying in such a lovely comfortable hotel. Will definitely visit again.
"Wonderful Sunday Lunch with Family"
Booked at late notice, but they couldn't be more accommodating. Nice selection of options for main courses and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, a great team working through from the bar to the restaurant, a really well run front of house team who are clearly well motivated and well trained at providing first class service. We had a lovely lunch and felt the whole experience was well paced and enjoyable. Would recommend as a venue for family meals to anyone.
"Awful at total misrepresentation"
08/09/14 VivianC622 Lincoln, United Kingdom
As you approach this Hotel. Charming would be your first impression. How deceptive looks can be. When we booked as a red letter day birthday celebration we booked a standard room and had to return the confirmation three times to correct details as agreed. The receptionist although perfectly pleasant said no one else was about and she was new to the post. Lesson one- cannot be bothered to train staff....when we checked in we stood a little foolishly as the girl said she would show us to our room. I asked where she was going and were we not booked in the Hotel? No she replied. You are in the cottages. You should have been advised when booking. We were not other wise we would not have continued with the booking. Lesson two - . I have scoured the web page and although it mentions rooms in barn conversions as standard rooms it does not explain away from the main hotel. A total mis representation. It was a good 2/3 min walk to blocks of new brick flat lets well away from the main venue, these were not barn conversions. The room although beautifully clean was a tiny upstairs bedroom. Milk was in a flask with just enough for 2drinks. So why would we fetch anymore....you have to book a breakfast slot as they don't have enough dining room space for every room. We opted for a 9 am slot We went over to the bar in the evening and got soaked and had to avoid the puddles trying to get back to our room. My birthday was becoming a nightmare and not at all what we expected We both woke up with aching backs although the bed was large it was incredibly uncomfortable. We decided to go for breakfast at 8.50 I love breaking stupid rules to find a warm welcome by the staff and at least 10 empty tables. I thinks it's a shoe string staff to cut costs determine when the residents eat. The waiter was also the barman from last night and kept disappearing . Multi tasking ...no doubt. We were explained continental choices were available and some one would take our order for tea and coffee and hot cooked choice. After eating cereal some 20 mins later I had to go and find someone to get us tea and coffee which was brought with no milk, again I went in search. Coffee was burnt so we shared my tea. The hot breakfast was ok. Snotty eggs as not advisable but every thing was beautifully hot. We left shortly afterwards. If we had paid £158 for this room I would have complained as it was a red letter choice it was still incredibly poor value for money. I will never recommend this place to anyone and would never return even as a gift. To those that opt to stay take weather gear. Unless you are more fortunate than us. Double check everything, get confirmation in writing. My next birthday .....might stay home and have friends round.less stressful
