"One night away"
Stayed for our honeymoon for one night at the hotel. Positives - staff very friendly, breakfast was excellent, very nice setting. Negatives - nothing major, decor slightly dated and evening meal times we were offered were unsuitable for children... which was a real shame as we were really looking forward to eating there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stay"
Stayed for one night travelling through, all was good. Room very warm and comfortable. Room was not in the main building but in a block close to the golf course. Fine if its not raining, it would not be easy going to breakfast in inclement weather. Breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly staff, great location and lovely beds"
Friendly and polite local staff, accepted last room which was "accessible" - meaning disabled-style bathroom with no bath (wet room style). Bonus to that was very large room, with small sunny patio and French doors overlooking lawn and golf course!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good but expensive for what it is"
Nice hotel, and lovely location and grounds. Good breakfast but expensive in comparision to other hotels. Advertised wifi does not exist in the bedrooms despite they saying it is providedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely building and surroundings. Our room was very comfortable especially the beds. We enjoyed our dinner (made me think of "master chef") and the breakfast was excellent. The dining room staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Slight question mark on reception as I needed to wait until a private phone call was completed before I […] was acknowledged, and that was by another receptionist who helped me in the end. "Nice hotel in pleasant grounds"
Nice hotel, good clean rooms. The only let down was the restaurant. We were the only two in it to start with. Were at our table at 18.30 and didn't get anything to eat until 19.30. Both fish dishes were a little over cooked and very salty. I ordered two glasses of wine, both of which I had to send back as they smelt and tasted stale. The youngsters […] serving the wine obviously did not know there wine at all and should not have served it up as you could tell it wasn't right just by the smell. The very pleasant young lady serving us completely forgot us twice. Once for the menu, the second time I had to find her to remind her that we had asked for the desert menu 20 mins ago. The breakfast was excellent each morning with good service. Overall I would say that we had poor service from very nice people. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet getaway hotel near Heacham"
This is a relatively small hotel with recently added bedrooms and beauty treatment rooms. The original hotel building where reception the bar restaurant and lounge are located is a handsome old stone and tile construction. Interior decor is a bit staid but smart. Staff are helpful and efficient. Breakfast is a bit limited but offers a good an array […] of cooked options and continental style buffet. Bedrooms are clean tidy and simply furnished with no wifi but lan ports. Wifi is available in the lounge bar etc. The treatment suite is reasonably priced. Heacham and Hunstanton are about a 20 minute walk away. The hotel is well worth considering for a reasonably priced golfing or quiet getaway. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in The Manor Suite which was spacious and light. The 4poster bed had a terrible mattress which was made worse with a ill fitting topper. Carpet was badly fitted and in need of stretching to remove the bagging. The wash basin tap was a disaster, it only cleared the edge by millimeters and to make matters worse diverted the water inwards so […] the water went down the overflow at the back. The shower/ bath mixer had no instructions and it took ages to figure out the diverter is on the end of the filler. We decided to eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. Whilst I has asking the receptionist for more tea bags and milk (the hotel uses thermos flasks) my wife walked into the dining area and sat at one of the tables. There were over 15 tables and only 1 other diner. I walked over to the table where upon a young waitress came over and in a very angry tone started to tell us off for not waiting at the sign in the hallway. She then told us that we had to get up and walk all the way back out and stand by the sign. I told my wife not to go as it was stupid to walk all the way out only then to walk all the way back so that the waitress could see which table we had been allocated to. Why couldn't we just remain at our table the waitress just change the table numbers I've no idea but perhaps customer service is not a priority. It left my wife feeling rather embarrassed by the whole experience and spoilt what had been a lovely break. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic hotel, i will definitely use again."
What a lovely clean hotel with excellent staff and service. The restaurant is fantastic with a great choice from the evening menu, breakfast menu is very good. I would love to know the make of the mattress as it was so comfortable. Hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Large, comfortable if old-fashioned room. Large clean bathroom but toilet squashed in so tightly that you have to sit sideways! Service relentlessly chirpy and professional but impersonal. Food pleasant - like a home-cooked meal. Constant piped music in dining room very annoying. Hotel fine for one night but would not have wished to pay full price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

good room , imaginative foodGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for three nights and had dinner in the restaurant on two nights. Our room (four poster) was quite large and was well furnished and very clean. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice stay, only problem we had was a lack of fridge in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful hotel, welcoming staff and excellent service. The Room was lovely and clean and extremely comfortable, with home made cookies provided everyday. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was disappointing and did not taste very nice, but the rest was very good. Breakfast made up for by the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice overall, food was great, nice setting. Only problem for me was that we had a standard room in the new block which was in the roof line of the building. The roof rooms get very hot and remain hot into the night. Other than that would highly recommendGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient for visit to Sandringham"
We were dissapointed that we were allocated a room in adjacent cottage complex, and not in main hotel. We had to carry our bags for 50/60 yards and then negotiate a narrow steep 180 degree turn stair. Not easy for 70 and 76 year olds carrying bags. No one offered to carry our bags. The room was pleasant enough, but we think that only one chair in a […] double room is not enough. On check-in we ordered a newspaper for the following morning. We did not receive it, and on enquiry, were told that it had been put on order fot the wrong day. The restaurant, and the serving staff there were very good for breakfast.. We feel that we should have been informed about the room situation when booking. We would have had second thoughts. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We went for a night away with friends to celebrate a birthday. Lovely, small hotel, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, rooms small but very comfortable. The four poster room was lovely. Food in restaurant at dinner was nice, but not great. Breakfast was very good. Overall a lovely stay but probably a little overpriced .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Just back from another Travel Zoo gem, the hotel was all as good as we expected and more the Staff were helpful and friendly, always checking everything was ok. The overall standard of cleanliness was very good and our Room although in one of the Cottages was clean tidy and cosy, being December and rather cold it was heated well and the comfort of the beds and Duvets kept us nice and warm, overall they were great. The food in the Restaurant on the first night was of the highest standard and the main course was a very pleasant suprise, great.Again the Waiting staff were attentive, excellent. Breakfast was very extensive, adequate Cereals, Fruit fresh or otherwise,Pastries, and a choice of freshly prepared hot food from Full English to Kippers, Omelette or eggs which or whatever way was your preference. Overall for us a Great deal and lovely experience, well done to all of the Team, very many thanks.

My partner, my mother and I celebrated her 94th birthday here on Saturday lunchtime and it was like stepping back into a Golden Age. Roaring fires, lovely decorations, friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful view from all the windows across open countryside. This was perfect! The food was beautifully cooked and presented and the waiting staff were so helpful and pleasant - couldn't believe what a lovely place this was. Definitely returning! Oh, and the prices were well within what I expected!!! Can't speak highly enough of it - A Heacham Gem!!!

A charming hotel, restaurant very nicely laid out and a lovely lunch. We did not stay in the hotel so therefore cannot comment on the standard of the rooms, but the reception and lounge area were very pleasant.

Stayed here for the second year running in a family room. Absolutely superb!! The family rooms are in a separate annex just away from the main building and are really just like a small cottage with a fully fitted kitchen ready to prepare childrens or adults meals, if so desired. Main bedroom has an en suite and the lounge with a foldup bed has a wet room. The children loved feeding the ducks from their bedroom window.

We visit Heacham manor for Sunday lunch twice a month this over the last two years the food a pleasure to eat the service is the best the staff bend over backwards to help you never had any problems a pleasure to visit and relax and enjoy We now made the decision not to continue our visits the general manager do not like complaints we would always book early to have lunch at 12noon on Sunday 23rd November a very cold and wet day with one other two people the first to arrive we were shown to our seats at the end of the large conservatory dinning room w e had a window behind us and one on the side the room was so cold we were shaking with cold the lady from the other couple left to get her overcoat her husband examined the windows and pointed the cold air and the windows were letting in cold currents, we pointed this out to the waiter who fitted a small elect heater the room was so large the heater made no difference. We ordered our lunch and it arrived but within a few minutes our food was cold we poined this out too the waiter and I requested could he take my plate and place in the microwave but he returned with a small helping to replace the cold main meal but by now I had lost my appetite by this time the room was filling up and with the body heat the room temperature was lifting I was told they w ere having new windows fitted starting the following day then why was no heaters used that day before customers arrived. At reception I reported my complaint and it was recorded but I was charged the full price for the meal latter I discovered I had been charged for a pint of fosters I do not drink beer at any time I might have flushed thirty three pounds twenty pence down the toilet. The duty manager assured me the general manager would make contact with me the following day no contact was made so I phoned him in the afternoon and he made excuse after excuse but would not accept they could be at fault and why was I the only person to complain that day simple only four people in the dinning room at twelve noon when it was opened he offered me on my next visit one maim course at no charge as only one meal was cold my wife had no complaints she spoke to him and assured him her main course was so cold she could not eat it. All he wanted to do is to tell me what a great hotel is the owner had lunch that day and he was well pleased I agree with him the hotel is good but the best regulated organisations can have problems he should hold up hid hand and make good the problem I refused his offer to have one maim meal and wanted a refund for two main courses and the drink I never had, he told me he had no authority to make refunds pointed out this was his problem not mine. but in the end he would arrange a refund to date no refund has arrived. You can judge a business on how they handle complaints but to date I am not impressed with this hotel. .
"Fantastic Weekend Away At Heacham Manor"
12/03/14 Vikki M Cambridge, United Kingdom
As a wedding present we stayed here for the weekend at the end of November and had a fabulous time. We stayed in one of the Cottages (Samphire). The rooms were lovely and so clean. Tea and coffee making facilities with home made biscuits replenished each day. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was fabulous and fresh and the waiting staff could not do enough for you. Thank you Matthew!! One time I really wanted to try a dessert but I was too full however, when we had coffee after dinner in the snug I was bought over a couple of miniatures of the dessert to try!! (Thank you to you, I didn't get your name), which was lovely. The breakfasts were to die for ranging from pastries to full English to divine omelette with smoked haddock. You could have as much as you liked! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back in the summer. There was plenty of things to do nearby and I would like to thank all the staff for making this a very special weekend.

We have stayed at Heacham Manor now for many holidays and are always made to feel very special and part of the family. We have a special very comfortable room that we like, which is situated overlooking a copse, with French doors that allow us to sit and enjoy the view, ( and feed the ducklings that appear from a nearby dyke). The lounges have roaring open fires in the Autumn and Winter. The staff are only to pleased to help and Graham knows his guests personally. The local area is choc a blok with things to do from the Queens Estate at Sandringham to the RSPB Titmarsh reserve & quint local town of Hunstanton. Highly recommended. Mike

My wife and I have just spent one night at this charming hotel as part of a coach party. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the rooms were very clean and very well appointed with charming views over the golf course. They managed the coach party magnificently and made our stay very enjoyable.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for one night, we had a room in the grounds which by all account seemed newly furnished to a very modern and comfortable standard. The view was very pleasant over the golf range. There was a little duck pond along with some very friendly occupants in front of the hotel , along with a walled garden area all set in a quiet spot , but convenient for Heacham and Hunstanton coast etc. We opted for an evening meal in the conservatory restaurant which was excellent , there was plenty to choose from on the menu and we were not disappointed ,and The food was cooked to order . Breakfast was great, everything you could possibly want . Also lastly but not least the staff were very pleasant , helpful and polite. Altogether a perfect break for my wife and myself .

My partner and I went here for her birthday and what a great decision it was to choose Heacham Manor. I would be hard pressed to find anything to criticise about this hotel. The room, the restaurant, the staff, the grounds all deserve five stars. Although our accommodation was slightly away from the reception and restaurant areas it didn't matter. It was just a short walk and the duck with 14 ducklings at this time of year made it extra special. Food was superb. A good choice at reasonable prices, although our package included dinner and breakfast. For dinner they just give you a generous £20 per person allowance - anything more you pay on your bill. My birthday girl was treated as a very special guest and we came away saying that we would definitely return. Well done Heacham Manor.
