"A good centre for touring, golf and walking"
Our room was clean and well equipped including a fully functioning kitchen. The room was a triple although there were only two of us of which the hotel was made aware. They did however make up the sofa bed which meant we could not use it as a sofa (hence the lower comfort mark). The room was also some walk from the main hotel which would have been uncomfortable if it had been raining. The breakfasts were something of a disappointment although there was plenty of choice, the full breakfasts in the main seemed to have been prepared earlier. The hotel was kept clean and tidy and was in very good condition and the water was very hot! A good location for touring the area and for walking. The golf course was well used and looked to be interesting.

"Will stay elsewhere next time"
Very dated. No air con. Misrepresentation of what was being offered i.e. room was in an outbuilding ("cottages") which although new was not what was expected for this hotel rating. Breakfast was poor, mushrooms and tomatoes were obviously kept warm for hours. Staff were all friendly. Rooms very clean, toiletries were basic

"Lovely country house hotel"
Wee only had one night here which was a shame. The staff were extremely welcoming. If I had to find fault the hotel decor is a little tired and could be improved, especially the carpets, although the restaurant was better than other public areas. Lovely setting overlooking golf course. Room was comfortable and although at front of hotel, very quiet. Dinner was good except my husbands steak was dry. I had sea bass which was very good. We would definitely revisit.

"Lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel and room very new although we had a problem with the shower as the door would not shut properly and water poured over the floor. With it being an upstairs room water will soon go through and soak the ceiling below. Plus the door handle to the outside of the cottage was broken and you needed a key to get out. In the event of a fire if you did not have your key you would be trapped inside!

"Good hotel, but avoid accessibility rooms"
We stayed here with friends for a weekend of golf, food and fun. When we booked we thought we had upgraded to a deluxe room but the upgrade option led us to an accessability room. The room itself was great and has a small terrace which was nice, but the bathroom was terrible - broken shower, nhs bin, poor layout. This spoilt our visit which was a shame. The hotel also lost our booking due to a new computer system, but this was probably just a one-off. Other than that the hotel and its surroundings are a nice place to stay.

"Good Location"
Single overnight stop during visit to Hunstanton and north Norfolk. Picturesque old main building for some rooms, restaurant and bar. We stayed in converted barn where the rooms were very smart and tidy with generous bathrooms. No scones available for cream tea and slow breakfast service were only issues.

"Lovely gem of a hotel"
From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we were made to feel extremely welcome. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had paid for a superior room which, although not huge, was very nice and comfortable. There was a nice touch of home made biscuits and fresh milk in a flask on the tea tray. The food at this hotel was lovely. The set dinner menu was particularly good value. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a good variety including kippers, smoked salmon and omelettes, as well as an English breakfast. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

"A Great Stay"
Loved this hotel. When I saw the picture and the price I thought there would be a new build block behind, but no, although we were in a barn conversion it was very tidy, peaceful, comfortable and very tasteful. A minor issue was it was difficult to fill the kettle from the sink however bath worked okay although I couldn't figure out the hot water in the bath, it had a lovely shower as well. Breakfast was lovely and poached eggs were spot on. Id love to stay there again.

"One night away"
Stayed for our honeymoon for one night at the hotel. Positives - staff very friendly, breakfast was excellent, very nice setting. Negatives - nothing major, decor slightly dated and evening meal times we were offered were unsuitable for children... which was a real shame as we were really looking forward to eating there.

"Lovely hotel"
Lovely building and surroundings. Our room was very comfortable especially the beds. We enjoyed our dinner (made me think of "master chef") and the breakfast was excellent. The dining room staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Slight question mark on reception as I needed to wait until a private phone call was completed before I was acknowledged, and that was by another receptionist who helped me in the end.

"Nice hotel in pleasant grounds"
Nice hotel, good clean rooms. The only let down was the restaurant. We were the only two in it to start with. Were at our table at 18.30 and didn't get anything to eat until 19.30. Both fish dishes were a little over cooked and very salty. I ordered two glasses of wine, both of which I had to send back as they smelt and tasted stale. The youngsters serving the wine obviously did not know there wine at all and should not have served it up as you could tell it wasn't right just by the smell. The very pleasant young lady serving us completely forgot us twice. Once for the menu, the second time I had to find her to remind her that we had asked for the desert menu 20 mins ago. The breakfast was excellent each morning with good service. Overall I would say that we had poor service from very nice people.

"Quiet getaway hotel near Heacham"
This is a relatively small hotel with recently added bedrooms and beauty treatment rooms. The original hotel building where reception the bar restaurant and lounge are located is a handsome old stone and tile construction. Interior decor is a bit staid but smart. Staff are helpful and efficient. Breakfast is a bit limited but offers a good an array of cooked options and continental style buffet. Bedrooms are clean tidy and simply furnished with no wifi but lan ports. Wifi is available in the lounge bar etc. The treatment suite is reasonably priced. Heacham and Hunstanton are about a 20 minute walk away. The hotel is well worth considering for a reasonably priced golfing or quiet getaway.

"Needs improving"
We stayed in The Manor Suite which was spacious and light. The 4poster bed had a terrible mattress which was made worse with a ill fitting topper. Carpet was badly fitted and in need of stretching to remove the bagging. The wash basin tap was a disaster, it only cleared the edge by millimeters and to make matters worse diverted the water inwards so the water went down the overflow at the back. The shower/ bath mixer had no instructions and it took ages to figure out the diverter is on the end of the filler. We decided to eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. Whilst I has asking the receptionist for more tea bags and milk (the hotel uses thermos flasks) my wife walked into the dining area and sat at one of the tables. There were over 15 tables and only 1 other diner. I walked over to the table where upon a young waitress came over and in a very angry tone started to tell us off for not waiting at the sign in the hallway. She then told us that we had to get up and walk all the way back out and stand by the sign. I told my wife not to go as it was stupid to walk all the way out only then to walk all the way back so that the waitress could see which table we had been allocated to. Why couldn't we just remain at our table the waitress just change the table numbers I've no idea but perhaps customer service is not a priority. It left my wife feeling rather embarrassed by the whole experience and spoilt what had been a lovely break.

Large, comfortable if old-fashioned room. Large clean bathroom but toilet squashed in so tightly that you have to sit sideways! Service relentlessly chirpy and professional but impersonal. Food pleasant - like a home-cooked meal. Constant piped music in dining room very annoying. Hotel fine for one night but would not have wished to pay full price.

"Great hotel for couples"
Great experience throughout, from a confirmation email within a couple of hours of booking checking whether we wanted a double or twin room, to the moment we left. In between, the staff were attentive and polite without being intrusive, the room was very comfortable, the food was excellent, whether cooked breakfast, bar snack or evening meal in the restaurant. The 'standard' rooms are everything you could want (except that they lack wi-fi access!) We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Visited this hotel for an afternoon tea which was a present from a relative, overall just an average tea ,have had better, the place was quiet and only one other couple there for the same tea. As for the rest of the hotel I can't comment but as I stated It was very quiet in terms of customers.

Arrived at Hotel to be welcomed by very pleasant reception staff who quickly completed our registration and directed us to our accommodation which although not within the actual hotel itself was a short walk away and was in a cottage at the front of the complex on its 1st floor, it was well equipped and ideal for our short stay. The warmth & friendliness continued through out our short stay including in the restaurant for both breakfast and evening meals ( plenty of choice and food cooked as we like it ) - overall an excellent choice of Hotel - may try golf course as well next time - looks inviting

We really liked the Heacham Manor Hotel. We booked via an 'offer' website, but upgraded directly with the hotel. We had a lovely room with a king size bed, the reception staff, both during check in and check out, were friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful building with wonderful history and highly recommended. We stayed in the main house, not in the other part of the hotel, so can only comment on the main house

"Romantic settings for Norfolk coast walk"
01/13/16 Brian H Peterborough, United Kingdom
Lovely setting ideal location to enjoy walks along coast or Norfolk countryside hotel romantic setting with scenery overlooking golf course onto the coastline. Hotel nicely decorated in keeping with flavour of local traditional buildings coupled with new modern rooms located next to hotel where we stayed. Recommend walk through the golf course to sister hotel about 1 mile where you can use their swimming pool. Food in the hotel was well presented and tasteful although long wait for breakfast to be served nevertheless would highly recommend the Heacham Manor Hotel and will return.

"Great Location, excellent Restaurant and lovely room!"
01/10/16 Paul B Stamford, Lincs, UK
Stayed here on a number of occasions. We have eaten in the main restaurant for Dinner and the quality has excellent, plenty of choices for all. The accommodation is modern (outside of the main building) and you can overlook the golf course - request when booking. Breakfast was included (buffet) which was plenty after a 3 course dinner. Dinner is served in the main restaurant. Great location for Hunstanton which you walk across the Golf Course and along the promenade. Lovely walk in the morning sunshine.

"Relaxing post Christmas break"
01/01/16 Nicki65 Norfolk UK
We booked a two night break between Christmas and New Year as this hotel is in a lovely part of Norfolk that we were keen to explore. We were joined by two friends who had stayed here previously. The hotel was really lovely and what stood out for us was the high level of customer service provided by all of the staff we met. The food was excellent and couldn't be faulted in quality and variety.....parsnip soup was out of this world! The hotel overall is homely, the Manor House bedrooms (where we stayed) well presented and the bar area and sitting room are very cosy with real fires- a great place to have a pre or post meal drink or to relax with the papers delivered to your door on request each morning. All in all an excellent break and we are unable to find fault at all. Already planning a return visit!

"Out in the cold"
12/30/15 Dawn G Coventry, United Kingdom
We have been to this hotel several times previously but on this occasion the hotel was full and we were given a 'cosy cottage' in the grounds. I was assured this room was ok and actually told the receptionist I am expect more from a hotel room as I get older. On arrival we could hear dogs barking and scratching in the downstairs room and my husband reports he saw 4 dogs! We were not told about this accommodation for owners /dogs and it was quite noisy with the animals and doors banging. If anyone visits this hotel ensure they get a room in the hotel and not the cottages (unless you prefer barking dogs on a weekend away). We will stay in the hotel again but not the cottage.

"Nice place for the money we paid."
12/29/15 Debbie H Bedford, England, United Kingdom
The main hotel is good and the old building is gorgeous. Looks recently decorated, it is nice but lacking something. Could have been so beautiful with a bit more imagination (money) Our room in cottage was in good repair and very clean but a bit basic. But it's great value for money so I am not complaining, it is only 3 star so not expecting 5 star luxury. The food was great (we ate dinner and breakfast there), the staff all nice and helpful and I would definitely stay again. It is a lovely part of the country with plenty to do. The location is great (our room overlooked the rather ugly golf club but I would imagine some have views down to the sea). I know I have been a bit negative but overall impression was good, would recommend.

"Pre xmas"
12/28/15 zoopla Peterborough, United Kingdom
Wanted to make use of couple days away before Xmas at bargain rate, the hotel is a revamped manor house with converted Barnes adjacent. It serves a golf course which I'm sure in time will mature.we stayed in the Barnes which was well presented, clean and cosy. Rooms were large with a large double bed that was comfortable and made for a great night sleep. En-suite has everything supplied, new items and good water pressure. View of building site but all quite over our stay. It will finish in time. Breakfast taken in the main house. We found it was alright but lacked something, maybe other residents as we were 2 off no more than 6? Daily paper ordered BUT was clearly pre read by several, my pet hate. I took the paper not assigned to me. Don,t ask people to pay for a paper then read it before they do, bad manners! We found it excellent value at £55 per night on trip advisor deal!
