The rooms which overlook the pool have a nice aspect, so long as there are not screaming kids. Internet is charged through a provider.

Quite good except for: (1) Initially allocated & given the key to a room that was already occupied - quite an embarrassing experience (2) Basement carpark was like a labyrinth with no exit signage

Hubby and I were on the Gold Coast for 5 days, we stayed at Vibe, Raddison and the Crowne Plaza. We moved around due to rates and some trips so kept ending up back on the coast. Our last night was at the Crowne Plaza and we wished all of our nights were there. The hotel has been remodelled and has fantastic clean, spacious and modern rooms which is always principle concern for me. The location is a bit out of the heart of Surfers which is a good thing and the staff were very very helpful. Our room even had a view of the ocean from the bed and we didn't pay for an upgrade or anything. After being at 3 other hotels plus seeing inside a few others I can honestly say book here you won't be disappointed!

We would recommend anybody give this place a very wide berth !!! We knew we would be arriving late so called at the office 2 days prior to our booked night to advise of this. The "manager" was not overly welcoming so maybe we should have read more into that than we did. But on the evening in question I tried to call to remind him we would be late but […] the phone was disconnected while I waited for it to be transferred to "reception". However when we arrived everything was closed up. The manager eventually came to the door but told us to "get off the property" - even though we were very polite. He claimed I had not told him we would be arriving late. He refused to let us in and because it was Schoolies week we could not find any accommodation anywhere. We were forced to drive back up to Brisbane for the night - a trip of over an hour. Our friend is 76 years old and had been in hospital with heart problems the week before we left NZ to go on holiday. We are 4 "mature" people and it was most upsetting and most unpleasant. The next day we had over an hour's drive back to go to the airport. I could never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. We lost our money for 2 units for a night (almost $200) plus had to pay for gas to get to Brisbane and back. A very expensive experience. Read more
