      The Churchill Hotel is nice, but the new addition, where our room was, is too modern. We thought it would be more old-fashioned, because it's an old manor house. But the old part is limited to 8 luxury rooms that are probably lovely, but are above our price range.

    We had a very enjoyable weekend at The Rectory, it had lots of Georgian features and comfortable modern accessories. It was very cold weather so the real fire was nice in the lounge. The breakfasts were well cooked English with a choice

    Really enjoyed the surroundings, the room and the owners where very helpful and friendly. Only issue was the noise from the road but nothing that the owners could do about that

    My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights while at a wedding close to the B&B. Very nice accommodation in a lovely part of the country and an ideal location if you are travelling by car and exploring the Yorkshire area. Quite remote otherwise with taxis from the closet train station costing about £25. I would recommend a visit.

    Small, family run b+b, very comfortable, friendly and the building has much character. ideally located for visiting North Yorkshire, and York. If you like small, quiet retreats, then this is the place.
