Only spent one night, but this was due only to the inclement weather. We stayed on the first floor and it was very warm and cozy with a newly decorated en-suite shower room. Very clean with friendly owners. We had an excellent night's sleep and a delicious breakfast.

We love everything about the Grange, the quiet, the leisurely pace, the good food, the lovely gardens, and particularly the personalized service provided by Jane and her sons Bertie and Tom. Don't come if you're looking for a hip and swinging place-this is not it and that's what we love about it.

Though the room was small, it was comfortable and well decorated and maintained. Our hosts Marie and Ian were helpful and friendly. Great restaurants nearby. Breakfast room is cheerful and breakfast wonderful. We would go back.

This is a understated, cozy hotel above Runswick Bay, just a short (but hilly) walk to the beach and only five miles from Whitby, a tourist destination on the North Sea. There is a bar with basic dinner choices (including delicious homemade onion rings), and our family room has a bunk bed, double bed and trundle bed. It would be a squeeze for a family of five, but it is comfortable for three.

Had a great stay at the Cavendish Hotel. We were made very welcome by Robert and Jo, who were more than happy to accommodated my gluten intolerance diet. We would definitely recommend the Cavendish for your stay in Scarborough.

Very friendly welcome in large Victorian guest house a little way from the centre. Clean quiet room, double bed a tight fit into room. Good tea etc facilities, fresh milk. Comfortable bed.
