      I had an extra day in my business trip and elected to spend in Montpellier, France. I selected the Mercure Centre for its location, near the old downtown. The location was fine and convenient to walking around on Saturday morning in the old city.

      We stayed here for a few day while visiting the surrounding region. These rooms are literally minutes away from the main train station. Our room was very well equipped, clean and extremely quiet. Tram lines and buses are also minutes away by foot. WiFi worked very well and had a strong signal. Highly recommended!

    Overall the staff was amazing. Most spoke English, and were really helpful with ordering taxi's, and arranging our departure. The room was fine, although... a bit warm and humid for our liking. Only 4 channels in English on the TV. WIFI access was good.     We used this hotel as a one night stop on our trip thru Italy. It was a last minute booking. The only problem we had was that a non-smoking room was requested but we got a smoking room. The front office agent changed the room without any problems. It's a new hotel. Everything is clean and it does have a very child friendly pool area.     Situated on the outskirts of Montpellier, convenient for main road routes, tram service into central Montpellier, and also Montpellier airport. Recently opened (early 2012) so still very clean and modern. Good quality, but not 4 star. Basic food and bar services, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

    Very basic breakfast, but I guess that's how it is in Southern Europe. Felt slightly claustrophobic as the window in our room couldn't be opened. The shower door was not very well constructed which caused water to leak from the shower all over the bathroom floor. The location is excellent if you're visiting the Odysseum; if you're not, the trams for […] the city centre are fast and frequent but I'll advise you to brush up your French vocabulary as the ticket vending machine at the tram stop nearby doesn't seem to have an English option. (Make sure you look like you know what you're doing though; we were accosted by a pair of unsavoury-looking types trying to "help" us, hanging round, generally being in the way and offering to buy tickets from them instead.     Hôtel situé à quelques mètres du centre commercial Odysseum, et donc, au terminus de la ligne 1 du Tramway qui dessert le centre de Montpellier en 10 minutes. Inutile donc de dire qu'il est idéalement situé.Les chambres sont quant à elle très spacieuses, avec 1 bureau, 2 lits jumeaux de 90 cm (ou 1 lit double selon disponibilité), des oreillers différents […] (ferme ou souple) une salle de bain immense, une grande cabine de douche. Le tout décoré avec goût. Le petit déjeuner est varié, sous forme de buffet. Le personnel est très aimable et souriant, on se sent vraiment dans un autre monde.Il est vrai que nous n'avons pas l'habitude de ce genre d'hôtels, mais on sent vraiment qu'on est dans une autre gamme de prestations.     Struttura nuova e funzionale. Buon rapporto qualita' prezzo. In posizione decentrata ma tranquilla comunque a poca distanza dal centro di Montpellier. Valida anche la colazione, con ampia scelta e di buona qualita'. Abbiamo soggiornato in 4 in una stanza con 2 bambini ma lo spazio era comunque sufficiente
