Il Sogno di Alghero - Alghero

Location of hotel is right across the street from the beach. The room had fridge, safe, desk, TV etc and was decent size. The breakfast was included and was satisfactory. You can walk to the port or the old town in about 10 minutes along a lovely walk next to the beach. I had no problem parking my car at the hotel. For the price, it is a great place to stay.

Very pleased with out stay. It is a business type hotel, but the location is very convenient as it is right by the Old City where most of the action is. So much fun to walk around at night with restaurants, shops, etc. At 10:00 pm restaurants are totally busy. Had a problem with printing out our boarding passes with Ryanair (avoid them if you can) they nickle and dime you for everything. Previously, we were staying at a 5 star hotel and they were not helpful at all with our problem. Moved over to this hotel and Roberta at the front desk was so delightful and pleasant and and even called them for us using our cell phone as Ryanair even charges to call them! Being we don't speak Italian, she helped with our problem and printed out our passes for us. Something the other hotel was not interested in doing. An employee like Roberta, is a real asset. She was professional and willing to assist us with all our questions and needs. Our room was very comfortable and had a great view of the Old City, park and harbor. You could watch all the boats coming and going. They have a nice eating and drinking area on the top floor with amazing views. We went up their for drinks before dinner (Apertivo) and in the morning for their lovely breakfast. Great way to start the day. Don't hesitate to stay here as you will enjoy it.

Mario really made us feel very comfortable. Alghero is a nice relaxing spot. with awesome seafood.

In the heart of Alghero's old town, a charming place to stay. One suggestion is to turn off the heating unit at night, as it was abit noisy! Pillows were hard, but we probably could have asked for others, as the host was very accomodating!We will definately return and recommend the place to our many friends. Host was very generous with the breakfast items and this room was truly a delight! Excellent value, as we went in the off season!

The Angedras (whose name we had a hard time remembering until a cabbie pointed out that it's "Sardegna" spelled backwards) was a fine choice for an Oct wknd. Friendly, patient front desk staff. Comfortable bed. Ocean breezes. Spacious bathroom. A two-block walk to the water. Even English-language cable. Just two negatives: the breakfast was pretty thin, and the weak, old shutter locks made it hard to keep the windows open during the night because the wind would slam them closed -- a real shame in a town known for beaches.
