Free bottle of bubbly for my birthday was a lovely touch. A car is essential to get out in evenings. Cleaning was not fantastic considering we had a junior suite. Reception staff helpful and knowledgeable. Spa entrance costs extra.

On the plus side there are many facitilies, the hotel is in a very quiet and nice location. However, the check-in experience was poor and frustrating. The offer of a free room upgrade was not acceptable as it was to a non-seaview room when I'd booked a sea-view room. Reception staff were not very helpful, not explaining the strange way to open the door […] with the keycard. The most frustrating experience on check-in was where their credit card machine rejected payment by both credit cards I offered. On checking with my bank, only one attempt was made to take payment and the hotel system has caused a fault preventing funds to be taken. In the end I had to go to their cash machine to withdraw cash to pay in advance for the room. I overhead other guests being asked to do the same also so seems there is an issue with their payment systems or a desire for guests to pay in cash. The bedrooms are strange, particularly the bath in the middle of the window and shower which opens into the bedroom and constantly leaks onto the bedroom floor. Information on facilities is incorrect, there aren't iron/ironing boards available, no coffee shop/cafe, no pool table, rooms aren't well soundproofed, most tv channels don't work and there are no phones in rooms. Great stay, nice hotel, staff friendly, pools and facilities great. Rooms clean if a bit noisy because the doors SLAM (and people do slam them). A bit cut off, you'd struggle a bit without a car, although taxis plentiful.

This hotel will undoubtedly appeal to many but it just wasn't our cup of tea! It's very modern and somewhat minimalist. It has three pools one of which is a great infinity pool on the top floor. The bedrooms are somewhat different to the norm. We had a double room with two single beds pushed together - no problem with that. However there is then what […] can only be called a 'central pod' in the room, which comprises on one side a hanging space for clothing with a curtain as the door. On the opposite side is the washbasin and mirror. The bath, which is sizeable and nice, is also in the room. Then we have the shower cubicle next to the WC room. Neither has a wall that reaches to the ceiling of the room and there is only one sliding door between both. Make up your own mind about that. In effect there is no privacy to dust up 'your privates' or take ablutions! But hey maybe that's the way it is these days. We however like a wee bit of privacy in the bathroom/toiletry area - guess we're just old fashioned! The other let down is the location. The hotel sits halfway down a hillside #some would say 'ski-slope'# mid way between Fuengirola and Benalmadena. Beautiful panoromic views. A car is a must unless you want to decamp at the hotel for the duration of your stay. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food. The staff were very helpful. Read more

Stayed here for 6 days and it was lovely. Reception staff very nice and helpful on arrival and throughout. Breakfast very good with excellent choice of English, continental, , fresh fruit, juices, teas & coffees. Chefs are nice and hard working. Rooms cleaned daily and to a high standard. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the nearest shop is a fifteen to twenty minute hike up a really steep hill! Lovely hotel - very modern with a great sports centre and several pools attached. Food in the hotel was very very good as were the drinks. I would thoroughly recommend and would say go sooner rather than later as I fear it may become dated rather quickly. Lovely hotel. Clean room if a little strange having the whole thing open plan. Stunning hotel, very minimalist and modern interior. Infinity pool and sun area fantastic. The Hotel is new, locals said only open for around 6 weeks. Three pools so we had a great choice of where to lounge about and have a splash in the water, but the best for couples or families with older children is the Infinity pool on the roof, That pool was VERY good and had large beds that could fit 3 people on nicely. The AL ROLO restaurant was superb, the food was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful, plus they could speak English well! A Note to anyone who doesn't look at the bar prices on the roof top and just sends a child to place it on the room bill, Please don't do this as the drinks and food are VERY expensive, 2.5 euro for a small 200ml drink and around 20 euros for a sandwich. Cheaper food and drink is available at the snack bar on the ground floor.. 5 euros for a massive sandwich! The rooms very special, they must have been the best rooms i have ever stayed in. Be warned though that the bath is not enclosed, its open for the rest of the room to see so if you have a bath your other half will see all - being said though this does have its merits. We were among the first guests to stay here as it only recently opened. It is very contemporary, modern and stylish. The staff were therefore a bit slow and unsure of things. The hotel is quite isolated and quiet - away from the hustle and bustle of the busier coastal resorts. So it is more suited to couples without children who are looking to get away […] from it all. Hotel is very nice and offers a 'traditional' experience. Very quite little or no activity in or around area. Distance to Puerto Banus deceptive as rather than 3pm as advertised it's more like 5-7 km's. Pool area very nice and restaurant and bars well serviced.

Very nice hotel, new, modern, clean and comfortable. Placed little bit outside of Fuengirola in private and guarded area. Breakfast was quite good however dinner brought dissapointment - buffe in the restaurant was not very attractive and no a-la-carte to choose instead.

Las habitaciones pese a ser peculiares al tener el baño integrado, son muy cómodas. LAs instalaciones son increíbles y solo se respira tranquilidad en el hotel- El personal del hotel es cercano y encantador. Otro punto a destacar es el magnifico desayuno que tienen muy completo y de alta calidad.

Hotellet er godt. Det er velholdt, og møbleret med vilde mængder designmøbler. Vi bookede en junior suite, med havudsigt og det var bestemt pengene værd. Eneste anker, er at der ikke er nogen muligheder(by) omkring hotellet og at spisemulighederne derfor begrænser sig til hotellets buffet. Buffetten er ok, men bestemt ikke mere end det.

Ikke alt for godt. Hotellet er alt for moderne. F.eks kan man ikke sidde og læse en bog eller et blad, da belysningen er særdeles dårlig. Ligeledes kan en person ikke benytte toilettet, medens den anden går i bad. Skydedøren dækken kun godt halvdelen af de to rum.

Nettopp vært en langweekend på THB Reserva del Higueron, og det var et flott opphold! Hotellet er helt supert, spesielt Infinity Bar og bassengområde helt på toppen, utsikten er upåklagelig. De ansatte på dette hotellet er veldig hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Hotellet er nytt, og design og inventar er holdt i en minimalistisk og kul stil. Appelerer […] nok mer til den yngre garde. Frokost var veldig bra, burde være noe å finne for enhver gane. Vi prøvde bassenget i spa-avdelingen, også en herlig opplevelse (koster €35 pr pers). Eneste som var noe negativt er lokasjonen, det ligger høyt oppe og bakkene ned til togstasjon, strand og strandpromenade er bratte. Helt greit å gå ned, men ikke så greit opp igjen.. Hotellet har et lite tog som kjører gjester ned og opp, men siste tog går i 18.00 tiden så er man ute etter det lønner det seg å ta en taxi hjem, koster ca € 8-10. Vi var der litt utenfor sesong, så mye var stengt nede på strandpromenaden, men om man går eller tar tog litt videre enten mot Torremolinos/Malaga By eller til Fuengirola er det mer å ta seg til. I sesong er det nok ikke noe problem med å finne på ting å gjøre. Kan anbefale hotellet på det sterkeste! Read more
