"Very nice hotel to stay"
I strongly recomend this hotel as its location is very nice and also very much close to taj mahal and also good in serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It started with a room with 2 beds instead of 4 which we payed for. The room we were finally given had no sheets, when we finally argued for sheets they were dirty. The hotel was backpakers style. No hot water, no towels and no toilet paper. For the price we paid it was terrible!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Tusen och en natt"
Reste med en grupp på 18 pers och vi fick en och ½ våning för oss själva. Fick brasa på taket och mat där. Tre rum var bättre än resten men alla rum var bra. Tog lång tid med frukosten eftersom vi var så många.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very friendly, great location."

Hotel was a little bit dilapidated (we had a broken window in our room), but was otherwise lovely. Our room opened onto an intermediate level terrace with an individual seating area outside each room. There was a rooftop restaurant with a view of the Taj Mahal in the middle distance, and a downstairs indoor restaurant. It was cold when we were there (January) and the room was cold at night, but in the rooftop restaurant they had a fire blazing in a brazier, which made for a great experience. The food was delicious, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a great location, literally 5 minutes' walk from the entrance to the Taj Mahal.
"Friendly and comfortable hotel."

Tasty where you can view the beautiful Taj Mahal rooftop restaurant and clean room. And now, thanks to the pleasant and friendly staff. I recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed in January intermediate level.
"Very Comfortable and good support... Must read this review"

I am Abdul from Andhar. We had a very good stay here in this Hotel. reasonable price. Very Good support from staff. We were there for two days; Jan 5th and 6th. At the time of check-out by mistake they debited amount twice from my credit card. But after two days(coming back thousands of KMs from Agra) only i came to know by checking my card statement; when i contact them (specially management) they gave very good response. Immediately they verified their transactions and get back to me with apologies. They have raised a request and did all the formalities from their side and requested bank to credit amount back to my account. Management of Dawat use to give updates to me on this for every three/four days. Finally :) I have received my money back..!! I am very very Happy with the support they given to me and with their quick&accurate response. This is my first visit with my family; In future whenever i go to Agra, for sure 'I WILL STAY AT DAWAT ONLY' and suggesting all of you to do same. And remaining facilities you can check in other reviews -- 'Near to Taj' & 'Friendly Staff' & 'Can see Taj from hotel' & 'Youth can have beer at roof restaurant' & 'Camp fire in the evenings' & 'Live Music stage show'...!! Have a Happy stay.. Bye Special Thanks to Himanshu Ji..!!
"Below average hotel..reviews are not correct"

We had a really comfortable stay here, the room was lovely and we got a good price. It was really clean, and quite quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful too - it's a very short walk to the Taj too, we were very satisfied here!
"You MUST try The restaurant!!!!"

We didn't stay in The hotel, but The common areas were clean, spacious and quite luxurious for Agra. Somebody took us There for dinner and we fell in LOVE with the roof restaurant facing Taj Mahal. Food was amazing and The staff very helpful + nice. Even The hotel manager sat down@ our table to share a wicked chai tea and a lovely conversation. We strongly recomend Dawaat Palace if you R coming to Agra
"Best Value for Money"

Initially, we booked a room here for just one night. We had great difficulty in finding the hotel as the location in Google maps was wrong (which I fixed later) and roads around Taj are closed for private four wheelers. Finally, we found it and we were given a room on the second floor (thank god they have a lift). We were pretty impressed by the open area on the top floor. They also got free covered underground parking (though limited to 7-8 cars) which is a premium in this area. Based on these two factors, we decided to extend our stay for two more nights. We just fell in love with the open area on top floor. We used to walk on this for hours in the evening. Apart from the above, the food is quite average (not spicy enough for Indians as they got used to cooking for foreigners). The staff is really polite and helpful. Apart from slow service during dinner time (probably due to rush), the service is quick. I'd love to stay here again.
"Average hotel in good location"

We came to this hotel for one night. It is very close to Taj Mahal. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They teached us some more words in Hindi. They also had facilities for our driver. The size of the room was OK, but room, bed and bath were not very clean. The food at the roof restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately is was very loud during night within the hotel because of children running and screaming around.
"Jewel for a Jewel"

When I arrived in Agra I was met by a reasonably upright taxi who took me to nearly seven hotels. The seventh was Hotel Daawat, which was head and shoulders above these comparable hotels in the medium price range, in terms of its proximity and alacrity. Located roughly 1200m from the Taj, the hotel has a majestic yet understated charm to it, highlighted by a delightful and artistic-friendly rooftop, where the restaurant is located and where one encounters two separate stages, which serve as hidden away podiums for Indian music (which you can listen to (live) as you eat your food). The food was very tasty and well prepared, equal, you may say, to the task the Hotel had set for itself: to offer the best possible primer for visiting the world's most beautiful building. Some rooms provide a direct view of the Taj,; mine did and I can't express how glorious it was to awaken to the site of the Taj. in the morning. Let me also add that the service was top notch, led by the owner, Amachu whose warmth and genteel was matched only by his willingness to assist you (with me, my traveling plans). I can't say enough good things about this hotel; it is an experience maker has much as it meets its task: it is a jewel next to the crowning Jewel in Agra.
"Thanks for the Friendly and Helpful Service"

We came upon the Hotel Daawat Palace by chance when we got to Agra and it was a great find. The hotel is family owned and when we were there was being managed by the son's owner Amachu he could not have been more friendly or helpful and made a really good impression with our group. The hotel is well located for the Taj Mahal, being within easy walking distance of the South Gate. The room we stayed in was fine and afforded us a view of the Taj Mahal. We ate at the roof top restaurant while we were there and found the food and staff to be excellent. Thanks to Amachu and his staff for making our stay in Agra and at the Hotel Daawat Palace so memorable.
