Angkor Sayana Hotel & Spa - Siem Reap

We just spent 3 nights here with 2 other couples and we all loved it. Clean, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again. We had river view rooms, and even though the street was there, it was pretty quiet. We heard horns a few times, but it wasn't obnoxious. Fun city and great people.

Location is very convenient, the room is all wooden decorated, clean, the staff is so kind, very good English. The hotel is located at a crossroad, so it is not so silent.... Excellent location close to the old town in south Siem Reap. Good buffet breakfast included. Common hotel areas are very nicely finished in wood paneling.Bathroom lacks separate shower and in-bath set too low for westerners.

Not a 4-Star hotel (maybe a 2.5 at best). Here is why: (1) Pillows are too firm and too large for sleeping. (2) TV is too small and far from the bed to see (should be a computer monitor). (3) Only 1 trash can in the room and need to walk to the bathroom every time. (4) All towels are folded into cute animals and left on the bed. Nice try, but I prefer […] my towels less handled and in the bathroom where they belong. (5) No pen and paper in the room. (6) The cheapest amenities of any hotel I've stayed in throughout Asia. (6) Now the bizarre... We encounter a confrontation after dinner when we brought our girlfriends back to the hotel and the night staff tried to charge us for bringing another person to our room. We refused to pay since we did prepay for a double-occupancy and asked the manager to discuss the issue in the morning. Our girlfriends were embarrassed as were I! The Owner came to see us in the morning and was extremely rude and confrontational. We never got to enjoy our prepaid breakfast and the situation was twisted out of proportion and the owner called the police when I insisted and showed the receipt for my 2-person per room charge that was paid in advance. All this transpired over a $10.00 fee! We all left in disgust and vowed to never return, but not before leaving our honest reviews in all travel publications in SE Asia. The owner is obviously inexperienced and not suited for customer relations. Read more

It was our first trip to Cambodia for holiday & we basically were very happy with the hotel services & general experience in Siem Reap. We travelled around the world & found Cambodian people & the hotel staffs have honest smiles & show no expectation (e.g., you give tips or no tips, they will still give you nice warm smile). The hotel is in a perfect location, all within walking distance to the city, markets, pub st. But for longer distance, we used tuk tuk driver outside the hotel named Chantha. Very humble man & took us wherever we wanted to go. Our room was facing River view & it was actually not as silence as we expected, mornings can be awaken by cars horns. Room is clean, even inside cabinets!! nice :-) Room temperature could be set bit better tho as they have a central AC system & fan from the AC blowing too much. Yes we can set to low, but not sure it works. The hotel spa is excellence! the service, atmosphere, cleanness, the massage. We tried both massage & scrub. I am a body scrub fans, but they do differently, because they don’t exfoliate the product off the skin (to get rid of surface skin cells). We stayed at the Angkor Sayana for 3 nights, whilst visiting Angkor Wat. We picked the hotel for the location, as it is a 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants of Siem Reap, as opposed to the large hotels on airport road where you need to take a tuk-tuk. Whilst staff are very keen to help and extremely friendly there were some serious deficiencies in back of house training. In six days my sheets were changed once and this I had to request, other things like replenishment of soap and laundry bags had to be continually requested. Little things like no note pad, pen or town information within the room, […] made it an exercise of seek and discover for yourself. Whilst there was an information desk it was rarely staffed, this i believe is in the process of being changed. I put this down to a new hotel and major differences in cultural requirements of local staff, I believe in time this will improve. The location of the hotel is great, just a short walk to town and as mentioned the staff were very keen to assist. We stayed at this lovely place for a couple of nights during our stay in Siem Reap, and were impressed by it. First of all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and try everything to make your stay as convenient as possible. The rooms are very clean and nice, only downside is that with windows open you will hear the street noise from the riverside […] view rooms (with windows closed it is entirely gone though). Yet the upside of the location is that central Siem Reap where restaurants and bars are located can be reached in a 10-minutes walk by the river, which is very convenient. In general the whole hotel is brand new and built with a lot of wood, which makes a very nice impression. Only the pool area could need a bit more space for sitting and relaxing. 前日まで他のホテルを利用していましたが、理由あって最終日こちらのホテルに泊まりました。　着いてソファーで待っていると冷えたおしぼりと飲み物を持ってきてくれました。wifiの速度と通信状態が少し気になりましたが、繁華街へのアクセスも非常によく満足しています。レストランスタッフも日本語で挨拶してくれて感じが良かったです。空港への送迎も有料ですが、丁寧に対応してくださいました。また利用したいホテルです。

가족들과 3박했습니다. 대부분 외국분들, 주로 유럽계분들이 이용 많이하구요 한국분들은 1가족 정도 만나 뵈었습니다. 호텔은 정말 작고 아담합니다. 그러나 호텔내 서비스나 관광서비스지원은 정말 훌륭합니다. 공항에서 호텔픽업 / 호텔에서 공항으로 샌딩서비스는 1회당 7~8명 타는 밴지원해주면서 13불 받습니다. 호텔에 요청하셔야 되고요. 오전에 관광하고 호텔에 들어오면 방정리 되있고(물도 다시 비치) 점심시간에 샤워하고 쉬다고 오후관광하고 돌아오면 방 다시 정리해 줍니다(물도 또 가져다 주고). 정말 귀여운 개인풀(풀빌라에 있을 법한 작은 풀)이 있어서 얘들하고 오후 쉬는 시간에 1시간정도 간단한 물놀이 좋습니다. 수영좋아하는 […] 분은 르메르딩앙, 소카호텔이 정말 잘되어 있습니다. 다음에는 1박은 소카에서 할까 생각중입니다. 패밀리 룸(킹베드1개, 싱글2개, 화장실 2개입니다)은 정확하게 컨넥팅룸입니다. 방 1개만 Late check out하면 15시까지 20불, 18시까지 30불입니다. 암튼,엄청 친절하고 위치 좋습니다.
