MEROM GOLAN - Merom Golan

This hotel exceeded our expectations! It is not really a hotel but an apartment complete with a kitchen, living room, full bathroom, bedroom and closets. The views were great from the large porch and overall our stay was perfect. Free parking and a great free breakfast at a restaurant nearby....great location!, smack in the center of town!!!! Will definitely recommend this to friends and family and would love to return....

We stayed there for two nights. The hotel is located in a small town overseeing the Kineret (Sea of Gallilee). The location is a good alternative to Tiberias if you want to be off the beaten path. From there you can easily reach the cities and landmarks in the Gallilee and the Golan. The town is a moshav (agricultural community) and you will see a lot of trees, tractors, etc. Do not expect luxury but the cabins are very comfortable, large, with a fully equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom with a jacuzzi, two TVs (one in the bedroom and another in the living room), and the surroundings are very relaxing. The breakfast was homemade, but could be a little bit better: bread was not fresh, fruit choice was limited - perhaps because by then we were the only guests. Overall it was a good experience.

Only bad thing was that the jacuzzi was broken. But the amenities at this hotel were great, made it really comfortable. Free wifi, which is unusual at hotels in Israel, also had free snacks and drinks (including wine and spirits) in the living room area adjacent to the lobby. The owner and staff were delightful and helpful. This is supposed to be a boutique experience and it is. A great value, all things considered.
