"Beautiful serene views of the Amalfi Coast"
This hotel is very beautiful and perfect if you are looking for somewhere quiet to relax and enjoy some breathtaking scenery. The grounds for the hotel are overflowing with lemon trees, and flowers, and luscious scents of spring in bloom. Think of a natural flower garden cascading down the rocks down to the turquoise sea, and that is what you will find […] here. It is a quaint hotel, where they take care of their guests well-and seem to know there whereabouts. I felt like they looked after us. One night we came home late, and a path was lit to our room. That could have been very strategically placed motion sensors, but regardless-I certainly appreciated it. One thing to keep in mind that staying on the coast like this, will cost a small price every day if you happen to leave your room. There are multiple stairs, but the beautiful garden along the path should be enough to let you ignore the burning in your leg muscles. The menu is gourmet, and they seem to put a lot of care into the food that they serve. They keep your room immaculate. I could have sworn that every time we came back to our room, due to the smell, it must have been cleaned within 5 minutes. You never know if you will be safe in another country, but I definitely felt safe. I even noticed that the car parked right next to us had their ipad on their seat with the window down. That eased the fears I had about theft in Italy. The owner and his father are wonderful and cheerful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Costa Diva was paradise. Breath taking views, incredible staff, delicious food, and so much more. Filipo and Nicolla were so accommodating, you couldn't have asked for better service. Close to the bus stop, so easy to make daily trips up and down the coast. A perfect location to visit the entire Amalfi Coast. Hope to go back again very soon!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel in Praiano, Italy"
hotel is clean, have to walk down about 500 steps and then back up another 50 to room. "Window" was one window in the door. Room teeny tiny but clean. Right on "cliffs" overlooking Meditaranean but had to open door to look at view or go outside. Shower barely big enough for 1 person (if you weigh over 200 lbs you'd never fit into shower). Restaurant […] is cute but "different". Basically it's outside -it's under a cliff overhang with clear plastic walls to keep out weather (which was fine when we were there in early October). Free breakfast was fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Firstly, faultless service, excellent food, and rooms were kept very clean throughout our stay. Their website suggests they can arrange tours for you when really they seemed limited to arranging a private taxi for you which could get very expensive very quickly - you can instead arrange group tours in nearby Amalfi though so this is a very minor criticism. […] The location within Praiano is great - right next to the bus stop and on the coast which means there are excellent balcony views. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel in the heart of the Amalfi coastline."
The staff at the hotel were friendly and couldn't do enough for my husband and I. The hotel was centrally situated on the Amalfi coast and has breathtaking views over lomon trees and the ocean. The colours, the aromas, the sights.... Magnificent,Genuine Expedia guest review
Superb hotel in a location looking straight out to sea. Staff and everyone were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My son and I have just come back after spending five nights at Costa Diva. It is a beautiful and very special place. The views from the gardens and the restaurant are stunning. We dined in the hotel three times and the food was delicious. We found the staff in the hotel very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean and quiet, even […] when there was a wedding party in the hotel.. Praiano is quite a small, quiet place which suited us fine. It is easy to walk to the beach at Marina di Praio and the SITA bus stop is just outside the hotel if you want to explore other places along the coast. All of the hotels in the Praiano/Amalfi coast area enjoy wonderful views over the coast however Locanda Costa Diva has something pretty special. "No better view on the Amalfi Coast"
The hotel, although somewhat aged in the decoration of rooms, offers a very welcoming family-like atmosphere and an absolute stunning view of the water. Ein umfangreiches Frühstück, was man in traumhafter […] "Hotel in guter Lage"

We had a very nice room with a balcony and our own sun beds. The hotel restaurant was really wonderful; a very nice breakfast and superb dinners with fresh fish every day.
Gostei do local, pois a vista eh paradisiaca.
"Fantastic Experience! HIGHLY recommended!"
It was a bit of a gamble when we selected this hotel, also because there were no recomendations of the hotel. that is why i write the first one. Its an amazing place. it lies directly on the seecoast which gives amazing views! it has several terraces some covered with lemon trees growing under which you can walk through. very nice! we had the junior […] suite which is the room furthest from the road and other rooms. a lot of stairs but closer to the sea you can't come. only minus was that the bed was very hard. otherwise Very friendly staff and very good service. Based on my experience i would put this hotel in the 4 star category. The restaurant is also very good. the beach is only 10min. walk from the hotel. would book this place again! Great location and warm welcome, views fantastic and rooms good value for our family of 4. It also has it's own parking hero! Tip leave the car behind and take the bus or boat. Breakfasts on the terrace sets you up for the day.
"A lovely hotel that has a family-run atmosphere the moment you arrive! :)"

The staff: They could not have been more helpful during our stay, scooping up our multiple large suitcases onto their shoulders and whisking them to our rooms as if they weighed nothing (trust me, they didn’t!) They always greeted us with a smile each morning and were so attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Always very chatty at dinner and loved a giggle. Any (v.v.few) issues we may have had were solved quickly and efficiently with genuine apologies. They all work so hard- we would see the two waiters leave very last thing at night and be there ready and spritely at breakfast- so we really did appreciate how they were always so positive and always wanting to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The rooms: We were a big group of 8 and so had 4 rooms in the hotel. Each room was just lovely. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate, well decorated with all amenities that you might need (although my tea addicted Mother brought a kettle & Twinings...) Bathrooms were small but had lovely tiled designs, some of our rooms had baths, some only showers. All rooms had great views of the sea, this was so lovely to wake up to. Mine and my boyfriends room shared a terrace with my sister and her mister, it was great to share with her (and handy when swapping wardrobes in the evening), but maybe bear this in mind when booking if you are a couple and want a little more privacy. My eldest sister & her partner had the Marina room (I think!) it had a large private terrace, and their bedroom was larger than ours, it was also very private. However, the hot tub they had was actually a cold tub with no bubbles- so we never actually used it, even though it was August and the weather was sweltering, it wasn't what you wanted as the sun was setting and you had just got in from exploring. Another thing to bear in mind if booking. My Mother of course had the cream of the crop with her room, we can't remember the name but it was on the bottom 'tier' of the hotel, it had a long private garden area leading to the room and at the foot of her bed were tall shutters that opened up to the most incredible undisturbed view. Dreamy. The restaurant: We ended up eating in the restaurant for 1 lunch and about 4 dinners and every day for breakfast! Firstly, each morning you wake up to a buffet-style breakfast. This was lovely and they gave you a lot more than some other 'no frills' hotels. The lovely staff would first make wonderful cappucino's or espresso, there were also fresh juices available. For food there was always an array of freshly baked croissants, bread, pastries, boiled eggs, cheeses, cured meats, yoghurts and fresh fruit! Yummy, you could keep it as simple as you want or stuff yourself. It was all very tasty and the coffee sublime. Our lunch was just after we checked in, having not eaten for hours, we had various bowls of pasta and salads to share while sitting under the lemon trees in the sunshine with the beautiful views of the Med- stunning! We ate a lot of dinners here but It was just so cosy in the restaurant we couldn’t resist, especially during a thunderstorm! Our dinners were normally when we were sleepy from a day out exploring, so we made the most of the short waddle to the restaurant and enjoyed lengthy relaxed dinners. We have all since agreed that Costa Diva was our favourite restaurant of the trip- the food was relaxed, fresh and so delicious, the menu had great variation and so all 8 of us were able to try a variety of different dishes during our stay. There was always fresh fish on offer, caught that day, served very simple with a few different choices of dressings. Every dinner we left with tummies full from gorgeous food & wine and our faces aching from laughter. Activities: The hotel has steps that wind down through the sister hotel next door that leads to a rocky area with a stepladder straight to the sea for swimming (and jumping!) it’s great fun and a lovely swim/sunbathing spot (there are beds but not many). Praiano beach is really the only place you can explore on foot from the hotel (it’s a short walk, but beware on the way back it's uphill) It is a lovely beach. From here you can also organise boat rental to Capri and hire some snorkels for swimming on the beach. Also some lovely restaurants for dinner. Thank you to everyone at Costa Diva for making our trip one of our most treasured memories together as a family. We hope to return! ☺
"Cute Property with Beautiful Setting"

Hotel Locanda Costa Diva was everything I thought it would be after reading the reviews on here. There are no frills--instead, what you'll find is a lovely little hotel with the loveliest of staffs. Our room was small, quaint and exquistely clean. We had a little terrace which we shared with another room that overlooked the sea and the property was filled with a variety of plants and fruit trees. Also, we ate one night at the restaurant and had what we think was the best meal of our two week trip across Italy.

Locanda Costa Diva is the best! The great service already started when Antonio offered to park our car on the hotel property so we did not have to pay parking fees. And it only got better after that, Costa Diva is a hidden pearl on the Amalfi Coast, it is beautifully located underneath lemon trees and with an astonishing view of the coast. Philipe and his father are so nice and friendly, they make you feel at home after 2 minutes already. The food is exquisite, the best home made sea food pasta I have ever had. The pasta with the fresh lobster is delicious, and the prices are very acceptable. Our one year old daughter has never had as much attention in a restaurant as here, they made her feel like a true principessa! I would recommend this place to everyone. Femke
"Sept 2009 stay was swell"
06/15/14 Fred_TN Sevierville, TN
TripAdvisor drop-down list only allowed me to go back to July 2013. Trip was Sept 2009 and if I stay in Praiano ever again, I will stay there again, as long as TripAdvisor reviews are still very good. Food was plentiful & nice variety. I eat very unique diet, and the restaurant accommodated my requests. Room was nice, view was super overlooking the Mediterranean sunrise & and sunset was amazing. Easy access to bus into Amalfi & Maiori, etc.

My husband and I enjoyed everything about Laconda Costa Diva! The room was beautiful and the view from our balcony was stunning. The food and service was great, eating under the lemon trees and arbor was a highlight. Be prepared for lots of stairs but they help with the luggage. We hope to go back some day!

This is a very traditional choice that makes you feel like family. The owners & staff go out of their way to accommodate your every need & want. The view is spectacular & the food magnifico! They are both personable & professional. The beauty of the lemon trees, hanging vines, tables overlooking the water are breathtaking. The only problem I found is the extreme steep steps & winding hairpin turns to come & go was rough. I found most places that weren't ground level would have the same problem. In conclusion……..a definite return for me!

To preface what I'm about to write, I can completely understand why this place gets good reviews: the location is stunning and the accommodation very attractive. BUT, when my wife and I stayed there earlier this month during our honeymoon the customer service left a lot to be desired. We stayed in the Catarina room, which had a lovely private terrace overlooking the sea. Unfortunately, on the second day of our stay planned work to erect a new handrail was taking place two yards behind the terrace. The constant banging we could just about cope with whilst we were trying to relax and enjoy the view but the frequent use of heavy machinery to cut through stone (resulting in sparks and rubble flying onto our terrace) was a step too far. We mentioned this to the hotel owner later that afternoon who jovially informed us that the work was finished and not to worry ourselves. Except it was far from finished, and at 8am the following day the chainsawing and hammering recommenced. This time I was more forceful in my complaints to the owner who responded first by grinning and putting his arm around my shoulder and saying not to worry, and then, when he realised how angry I was, turning his back and walking away. It was left to one of the staff members to apologise and arrange for us to be transferred to a different room away from the noise (a move that still took the best part of two hours to arrange). To his credit he did arrange for a bottle of Prosecco to be brought to our new room but by this stage the damage was done. I explained that they really shouldn't have sold the room if they knew that work involving heavy machinery would be taking place a few feet away from the terrace but I got the sense they still didn't quite understand what the problem was. I do feel that without this incident we would have enjoyed our stay as others clearly have done, although the food was probably a little overpriced for what it was and there are nicer restaurants at which to eat a short walk from the Costa Diva. A really disappointing end to our honeymoon that could so easily have been avoided with a little foresight.
"Beautiful Location, Excellent Service"
05/19/14 SarahMerk Baltimore, Maryland
My husband and I spent wonderful five days at Locanda Costa Diva in mid-May. Our room (the Marina room) had a gorgeous view, a huge terrace, and a private hot tub outside. Our only complaint is that the hot tub wasn't actually heated-- and it was too cold for us to use in May. Later in the season, though, it will be a great perk! The vegetation and set-up of the hotel made it feel as though we were they only people staying at there. We spent several mornings just relaxing outside our room. The grounds are covered in lemon trees, and the restaurant boasts good food and attentive staff.
"Great place in Praiano"

Great quiet place to stay in Praiano with a good restaurant. If you do the half-board option it is a real deal. Beautiful grounds and views are had all over the property, and the staff is extremely friendly. Recommended.
