this is a wonderful hotel and close to everything. selcuk is so small that no matter where you stay, everything is walking distance. this hotel is also considered the nice hotel in town, but you should know that it's an old hotel known more for its charm and history. the breakfast is great. the room we stayed in didn't have a lot of light. but no complaints at all as it was all completely fine with us. just know that it's not luxurious.

The staff at the Hotel Nilya made us feel welcome from the very beginning. Nazmi picked us up at the train station and gave us a detailed introduction to the area. (There was also a selection of guidebooks to browse and borrow.) He went above and beyond, providing free transportation to Ephesus and an added detour to have a traditional lunch and short walk up to the Cave of the Seven Sleepers; he then dropped us off so we could see St. John's Basilica and Isa Bey Mosque. We highly recommend a visit to Nazmi's beautiful rug shop, a short walk from the hotel. The rooms were small but comfortable, and each day the towels were folded into a different animal shape.
