"A clean hotel run by great staff"

"Odd location, fantastic staff."
I got into town late and started walking in the wrong direction from the train station, my fault. Eventually ran into a cafe that was staffed with probably the 3 nicest people in Italy. After I ate dinner, one of them drove me to the hotel. The hotel was to the south of the ruins of Pompei and definitely not where I would have thought the hotel was. […] The only thing that the hotel was close to, is the ruins, the actual town of Pompei is on the opposite side. The hotel looked great and was a surprise in contrast to the rural surroundings. The hotel staff and the population speak little to no english, so be prepared. In the hotel I carried my Galaxy tablet, connected to Wifi on the Google translate page. Nellio (Nello?) is an amazing bellhop/waiter and even drove me to the train station when it was time for me to leave. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
An oasis in a troubled area. Very nice and friendly. Food about average. Convenient to tour.Genuine Expedia guest review
"welcoming hotel in an unwelcoming suburb"
missed the road and took 5 miles to get back--not too easy to find this hotel down a tiny side street in the rush hour. Very modern, well-appointed but in a dubious, brutta suburb of Napoli with no restaurants and night-time shops nearby (although hotel offers dinner if required). Made the mistake of trying to park in the basement and nearly couldn't […] get out as the ramp was so steep and I had to give every wellie the little Fiat had got ( 3 stalled attempts first!). Aircon was amusing --when you switch on it doesn't blow cold until you phone Reception and they then 'regulate' it. Worked fine after that. Hotel backs right on to the busy Pompeii to Sorrento road but rooms well soundproofed and traffic dies to nothing early evening. Surroundings are a very low-quality housing area so hotel is certainly a rose amongst thorns, but seemingly not a worrisome crime area Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Not glorious but certainly lovely. Was on my way to southern Italy and wanted a place to stay after seeing the archeological park of Ostia Antica. Staff very helpful with directions and suggestions. What is not obvious in photographs is the fact the the ground floor is a MacDonalds which makes parking a challenge as there is only street parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The hotel is well placed for visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum, easily accessed by the local railway. It is a modern (2009), simple and reasonably priced hotel. The staff were especially helpful and hospitable. We dined in the hotel each night because we enjoyed the good, local cuisine and wine. Although the hotel […] is close to a railway line there was no noise problem. I'd certainly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"very easy to access excavation site"
hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the rooms were very clean and well maintained, and the restaurant on site had excellent food. the only down side that i found was that the heat and electricity in your room were turned off when you removed the card attached to your room key from a receiver by the door. while i understand that this is a great […] way to conserve energy the room was quite cold when you entered it at the end of the day and you couldnt charge electronics and batteries while you were away. other than that it was a wonderful experience. "Excellent hotel, good value for money"
A clean and comfortable hotel run by very efficient, pleasant and helpful staff. There is no kettle in the rooms. A bit out of the way and near a busy, noisey road which you don't notice once inside. There is a train station opposite which we used daily to get around, a very cheap way to travel. The food was superb and reasonably priced, nothing was […] too much trouble. Breakfast was a little disappointing as there was no fruit or cold meats as advertised on their site, but plenty of cake, toast ( not as we know it but in small packets and cold), croissants, limited cereals, fruit juice and tea or coffee. Overall we had a very good experience of this hotel and would recommend it to family and friends. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Sehr netter Service!"

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small room with four beds"
Be aware that the 'Quadraple standard' is a double room with a bunk bed put in the free space leaving very little space to four persons.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Awful. Mould in shower, shower does not work. They refuse to give us another room. Although there is one available. Very unfriendly staff, shouting and simply saying that we can also leave. Absolute nightmare.
"Wonderful hotel near main attractions"

The hotel is just a 1-minute walk from the Circumvesuviana train line, thus providing excellent transport links to the Pompeii ruins and Vesuvius. Train tickets and shuttles to the nearest mall/ Vesuvius can be purchased at the hotel reception. The hotel is cosy and clean, with minimal noise disturbance from trains. Our room (213) was very clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Check-in was fuss-free and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with savoury (finally, eggs!) and delicious sweet options. Highly recommend. One of our best accommodations during our 3 weeks in Italy. Would book again.

Very clean hotel with friendly staff. No amenities close by, but the hotel restaurant serves an excellent continental breakfast and adequate evening meal menu. The only slight disappointment was the rather small shower cubicle in our room. For those who have experienced driving in this region, leave your car at the hotel for your sight seeing trips. There is a nearby train station with an inexpensive regular service to Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento, although you have to be prepared to fight your way on board and stand for your journey during busy periods!

Very affordable for what it is- updated and very clean... the beds are super dooper comfy aswell ;) Great location with the train line to sorrento and naples 10 meters away (there are shutters on thwe windows to drown the sound out) The staff are very friendly & helpful.
"Great hotel, perfect location for sightseeing"

The hotel is welcoming, the staff very friendly and helpful. I had read the reviews of others before booking and was not disappointed. As the taxi drove through the roads near the hotel I was a little sceptical but the hotel is lovely. I was in Italy for 3 days and used the train to visit Pompei, Sorrento and Herculaneum. The train tickets were purchased from the hotel and the platform is a few minutes walk away. The breakfast was continental and the evening meals simple and not expensive. I wold definitely recommend and would use again.

"A great surprise in Pompei"

This is a great hotel. We were lost, it was raining and dark and chancing upon such a nice place was so unexpected. The decor is so pleasing--starting with the lobby which has beautiful tile floors. The hotel is spotless and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was nice and quiet--also very pretty. The dinner we had was also great--a good menu, good food with excellent prices. The breakfast was included in the price of the room (also very reasonable) and was plentiful. There was also parking on the hotel grounds. In all we were so pleased.
"A diamond in the rough"

After the initial shock of finding our stop on the Circumvesuviana train line was a rail siding in a run-down area, we were only ever pleased with our stay at Costa. The hotel is a diamond in the rough and the staff were nothing but helpful; the elegant manager in particular was able to offer us vital guidance (and tickets) for negotiating trips. And its position on the line makes it a convenient base from which to visit the glorious ruins of Roman Pompeii (5 minutes away on the train), charming Sorrento (25) and Naples (about 50). The rooms were clean and comfortable, restaurant meals hearty and delicious, and breakfasts quite serviceable. We certainly expect to stay there again.
"Enjoyable Friendly Stay"
09/20/13 Ann T Inveraray, United Kingdom
The hotel is spotless, the food and wine good and the staff extremely helpful. We found it an ideal situation for getting around the local archeological sites accessable by the Circumvesuviana railway, that runs from Naples to Sorrento and has a Station less than five minutes a way. The Hotel will sell you tickets. The area surrounding the Hotel is a residential area and is quiet. A couple of good coffee shops and a delicatessan on the street adjacent to the hotel and a supermarket a wee bit further south. The main road and trains are at the back of the hotel but do not intrude. An ideal stay for those who like to organise their own time on holiday.
"Great stay in Pompei"

Very neat, clean and upmarket. Staff not only professional, but also friendly and extremely helpful! Pompei not a wealthy area and although surrounding area not the best, does not deduct from this great stay. Will sure stay there again.
