Room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean & the towels were excellent (want some for my house now). The only drawback was our room had the elevator next to it & sometimes we could hear it. Will stay here again.

Front desk staff are very friendly - maybe too much so - when you are waiting and they continue to gab to the guest checking in - in front of you... A big disappointed in the daily upkeep of the room by guest services - also they should dust a bit more frequently in the rooms than they do.. at least our room was dusty - we could leave fingerprints on […] the shelves and toilet holder in the bathroom - and also on the refrigerator. The room was not vacuumed once during our three day stay - and it did need to be as there were lint pieces on the floor when we checked in. It is a new hotel - so nothing was run down.. Did use the pool and hot tub - both of which are very nice - they have a nice pool area with a nice walkout deck and a nice shower area. Casino staff could be taught to be friendly - the valet and door personnel were very friendly and helpful. Read more

We were very comfortable and treated very well. A tall dark haired young man was especially helpful. I would suggest that they put irons/ironing boards in each room though. A block from the main street downtown and the trolley pick up is right there as well if you want to go to other casinos. I was very impressed with the hotel... It's brand new, so that adds a lot to the nice review I'm sure, but the staff seems to care about your stay. My only small complaint is that they should purchase more ironing boards and irons so that guests don't have to wait for other guests to return them, but other than that..great hotel. The bar in the hotel […] was really great.. I believe it's called "the slime plant"... I'm a professional musician and it was so great to hear the hotel presenting jazz a few nights a week. If this hotel is smart they will continue to build upon those jazz nights and add more because it will set them apart from the DJ's and cover bands around town.. It classes up the place a lot and makes Deadwood a little more metropolitan in feel.. When you think of gambling..you think of Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc.. Jazz music and gambling go so well together because that is where jazz came from...build on it guys.. even if it seems like the 'old west town' fits with country music better. Everyone likes variety and I saw so many people tapping their toes who were sitting at your tables and machines.. The happier the people, the longer they stay. I hope you are paying the bands fairly too, but I didn't get into it with the musicians... You should make this the first jazz club in Wyoming/South Dakota area... your boldness will reward you. Simply beautiful hotel with great staff. The bed linens and bathroom towels were luxurious! The restaurant was great for both breakfast & dinner. Will definately return and even make it a base for exploring all of the beautiful Black Hills and not just Deadwood.
