Usually I stay in Manhattan when I come to NY for work, but booked very last minute and was unable to find a room in Manhattan, so ended up here. It was a terrible experience- my room was right off the lobby, so I could hear the music as well as every word spoken in the lobby from my room- not to mention the closing of every other door on the entire […] floor (so much for sleeping past 6:30!). It was so bad I literally asked if there were any other hotels around that I could stay in, when they refused to transfer me to another room. There were multiple hairs in my bathroom, but no towels. The neighborhood leaves much to be desired. When I told my coworkers where I was staying, they were concerned for my safety, and, it's about a 40 minute ride into Manhattan. Loraine is the Best. Rebecca was awesome. And everyone we came into contact with, just didn't get all their names. The hotel was always clean. If I needed anything, they were happy to help me. In fact, my wife was talking with Loraine about a pair of shoes she had bought in the city, but they didn't fit. And right away Loraine offered to take them and […] exchange them and send it to us in Houston... Because she knew we were leaving the following morning. We did not except her offer, because we felt that was too much to ask. But the fact that she offered was amazing. We will be staying there every time we come to New York . I liked this hotel. But wouldn't recommend it for leisure. The rooms and bathroom are small. TV system impressed me a lot, it has Netflix, Amazon Video and etc. Two blocks from subway. Too dusty, despite we stayed on 6th floor.

Our stay was absolutely memorable. Even though the area doesn't seem hotel friendly at first (we arrived at night), astonishingly the daytime has a certain hustle and bustle that makes you feel as if you are certainly in NY. The room was amazing. Our scheduled room was not readily available so without any delay, the front desk upgraded us. The view […] was breathtaking. The music in the shower was different than what a hotel normally offers, but it was pretty cool. The bed. Oh the bed! The bed was so comfortable. We missed the complimentary breakfast just because we slept late (thanks to the comfortable bed). This is the hotel to stay at, and because it's fairly new, everything is brand new in the hotel, so none of the typical hotel problems like other places we've been to. I travel for work all the time. I worked in the hospitality industry for 14 years, when I pay $200+ a night, there are certain things I expect. The hotel doesn't have a "lounge" or anywhere to relax. The room they're referring to is a multi use room. It has a few tables and a "bar" that doesn't even serve alcohol since they don't have their liquor license. […] This "lounge" is also where they serve their breakfast which is a pathetic offering of overly microwaved already prepared bacon or turkey sausage and eggs. I've never had eggs like that in my life .The rooms are tiny, you have to inch your way around the king size bed since you only have about a foot and a half clearance in any direction.You can hear everything in every room. The doors to the room and stairwell SLAM every time someone opens and closes one and the room and the bed shake every time this happens. Not only could I not sleep or even attempt to relax because of this, but you can hear bass systems bumping right outside of the window in the parking lot adjacent to the backside of the hotel. I tried to drown out the noise by keeping the fan on that is part of the heating/AC wall mounted system but every 15 minutes or so, it makes a loud screeching noise like someone scraping a tin shovel. The shower was relaxing and the speaker in the bathroom was a nice touch but I am 6,1 and I had to duck every time to look into the mirror. I left there more feeling beat up than I arrived but with $466 less in my pocket. Read more

My experience was ok. The rooms were terribly small and for some reason every utility in the room made wheezy sounds like an old building. The ac had an annoying whistling sound to the point that I shut it off and even the shower whistled while water came out. Beautiful room theme! Decent small hotel. Close to the D train. Excellent customer service. Great price. Small but its NY, duh. Breakfast included. Yes, you do hear some hallway noise. I got the special rate through Expedia which was really good. My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 8 nights. We decided to get a cheaper hotel outside of manhattan and rent a car instead. Although the hotel has a parking space (20$+tax/ night), we were able to park in the street for free most nights. The hotel is new ( about a year old ). Rooms are […] clean. This hotel was great! The price was great. The rooms were very modern and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful. Free breakfast, that was actually good?! Coffee in the room!? I thought this was a great hotel. We stayed for 3 days. I visit New York a lot. It was close to the train. Neighborhood is ugly, but felt safe enough. The room was clean and attractive, but small. Who cares? It seems that it was supposed to be "hip", but you were very limited on towels and the WI-FiI was out most of the time. People were nice, but didn't […] seemed concern that traveling people need to have the internet to stay in touch with work. It was pleasant, convenient, and clean and included breakfast. For some strange reason, everyone but us were asked if they would like eggs & bacon when they came in. We were overlooked. I did have to ask for myself. There were no parking spaces when we arrived(small lot). We had to park on the street. I would recommend it for a short stay.

Hardly a 3 star hotel if that. Although the staff was very helpful the rest was a nightmare. The bed was dusty, it took forever before I could get hotwater (& that was the 2nd floor) no iron or ironing board...Certainly over priced. Will not spend my money there again....But don't take my word for it, go check it out yourself....

I went to NYC for Sensation and I wanted to stay in a hotel near the Barclays Center. The hotel is very well designed and maintained and the staff is AWESOME!!! I'm looking forward to next year's Sensation and I to my stay @ BPM.

When I first arrived I was a little concerned with the area bc of the surronding areaafter staying there mutliple lights I can assure you that the neighborhood is quite and safe. Each I would grab breakfast and head out for the daythe train station is on 36st st and the hotel ison 33rd so that was very convient. The only time I was at the hotel was […] to sleep change clothes and head out again. Each time I was welcomed back and they even held my bags on the last day for me bc my flight was not until 5:35 and check out was at 12:00 so I got a chance to do q few more things before I left. They have very friendly staff and are willing to assist. Example the recomended a car service to pick us up which was only $30 from lga. A newer hotel (with no bedbugs that I was aware of). Room was very comfortable, but there was a lot of building noise. Not too much of a problem for me, but could be if you are a light sleeper. TV had Skype!

This brand-new hotel is a great addition to the up-and-coming Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, and you can tell that the management is committed to making the place a success. They offer a free, hot, made-to-order breakfast above and beyond the norm; free drinks are provided in the cocktail lounge Friday and Saturday nights; and the front desk […] staff (and in particular the hotel manager, Jonathan) are friendly and eager to help. However, there are still some issues that must be smoothed out before this hotel can truly be successful. Some of the issues we encountered are: the staff kindly agreed to clean out our minibar so we could use it as a fridge, but this was not done until after 3 requests; getting just one more bar of soap for the bathroom also required 3 requests; our box of Kleenex ran out on the 2nd day and was never replaced; the sheets were not changed at all during our stay (I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't change the sheets after 3 nights), and our room was mysteriously not cleaned at all on our last day there. Clearly there are still some communication issues between management and staff that have yet to be resolved. However, I would give them another chance and hope that they will continue to improve.
