Good location, just a few minute walk from a subway station. Safe neighbourhood. Free wireless internet in room. Free parking. Comfortable room.

Stayed here as flight was going to get in late from the UK. The rooms are very clean and bed/pillows incredibly comfortable. Room service had an hour wait so I had to go to the restaurant.where the service was good and the food very good. The downside was that I could not get into two of the rooms they gave me and had to trail the long way down with luggage to reception. The room I got into had a very strange smell in the bathroom (not the fault of the hotel). They brought me a key for the "executive floor". Finally got into a comfortable and clean room. Depending on the room they give you it can be a very long way from the lift so keep that in mind if you have mobility challenges or small children. I would stay there again but be specific about room request.

"Palihotel - Youth Hostel With a Nice Coat of Paint"
This hotel is a mile from my house, and I stayed there one night so my in-laws could have my place while they were in town. I was excited to try it out since it looks great from the street, but after my experience I will not recommend it to anyone. This hotel used to be a sort of youth hostel and it was recently remodelled into what's supposed to be […] a sleek, modern boutique hotel. But the makeover is only skin deep. Some of the reasons I'm giving it a low rating are as follows: 1) My room did not even have a phone in it 2) I was not able to control the temperature in my room (no thermostat of any kind), and when I opened the window to try to cool off the street noise was unbearable 3) They do not sell alcohol at all - the mini bar was just stocked with overpriced soda and candy, and there is no food service other than a light breakfast 4) All night long I heard every footstep, door closing, and movement that my neighbors made, including a party upstairs that lasted until 2:00 or 3:00 am You'll notice there's a lot of dim lighting and most of the hallways have superfluous curtains hanging on the walls. At first it looks like a nice ambiance, but really it's to disguise the shabby condition of the place. They have a great aesthetic, but the reality is the place is just old and run down. Also, they insisted on giving me a parking pass I didn't need, and said they wouldn't charge me unless my car was parked in their garage. I never even entered the garge, but of course I was charged for parking anyway. For the money they're charging there are a LOT of much better places to stay in the area. Read more
