We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! The owner is so sweet and made us feel so comfortable. Everything was super clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious! Its about a ten minute bus ride to the train station and from there you can walk to everything. Stay here!
"Heaven on Earth"
We spent 5 wonderful nights, and days!, with Laura in the beautifully updated home of her beloved Grandparents. Our room was spacious with a view of a small park. Our ensuite bathroom was skillfully tiled and the shower was big enough for 2, very unusual in Europe. Our breakfasts were like smorgasbords, including various fruits, juices, cereal, cookies, croissants, cheese, occasional meat item and oftentimes warm hard boiled eggs! Laura is a lovely woman and wonderful host. She has lots of local information available and is generous with helpful advice and directions. Her B&B is easily accessible by bus from downtown and only a 10 minute ride; we got off the bus one stop early and grocery shopped before walking the 3 blocks home. Lots of restaurants surround the Casa Virgilio, as well as patisseries. We could not have asked for anything more-the Casa Virgilio and Laura remain the high-point of our month in Italy!

Stayed for 3 nights. The welcome by the host was most warming, she made you feel very welcome, rooms were cleaned everyday and were immaculate and comfortable. B&B is a couple of stops on the bus or a 25 min walk to the centre but the value for money is worth the travel.
"a good choice"

Although this B and B maybe more than some. The old adage 'you get what you pay for' applies. room we stayed in was clean and spacious. The breakfast room provided a wonderful choice of goodies, plus an English breakfast tea if you didn't want the traditional Italian coffee to kick start your day! I would recommend it to our friends who are planning to visit Florence. We had friends in Florence, who collected us and dropped us, so we didn't get a true sense of where we were in terms of the city, but I am sure Laura the owner would help, plus there were loads of leaflets and maps to take advantage of. The B&B is actually part of an apartment block, so don't be thinking English house B&B style. If you were walking past, you would not know it was there! We had 40 plus daytime temperatures and 28+ at night so the room air-con was very helpful. The B & B is not manned 24 x 7, so you need to take your key and be prepared to enter the apartment on your own. After the first time its just like coming home. Enjoy your stay in Florence we did!

Staying at B&B A Casa di Virgilio was a wonderful experience. It is clean, spacious, in a great location, and the property manager / hostess, Laura, was an outstanding hostess. We highly recommend B&B Casa di Virgilio and hope to stay there again someday.

Laura was very welcoming on email but in person her warmth makes you feel even more welcome to Florence. She kept apologizing for her lack of English but gave us more info than we received anywhere else in Italy. The entire B&B is clean and well maintained and her personal touch of making coffee/tea in the morning for breakfast just adds to the charm. The only issue we had was that we had the room right next to the bathroom, so every time someone used it, the plumbing would make noise. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints and especially loved the sound proof windows!!

A few days break in Florence with my wife, the B&B was clean and Laura very helpful and charming :-) it is close to the centre and with the parking possibility across the road made life very easy, with a short bus hop to the city appx 5-10mins(depending on traffic) superb. If we revisit Laura will be recieving a call...

We have gone to Florence in cultural trip and to visit our daughter who is finishing his studies in this nice city. We chose this hotel because this one near the domicile of our daughter, and it has been an agreeable surprise because it is a very cozy, clean housing, good decorated and very nicely attended by Laura. We recommend this hotel to the whole world that visits Florence.

We had lovely days in Florence with my husband few weeks ago. Many thanks to Laura - our hospitable, charming hostess. Every night we had wonderful dreams. I still miss that bed on which we were able to get some sleep so wonderful.Everything was clean, center of the city is nearby. I hope to return to Florence, and of course we will stay at a Casa di Virgilio.

I was in Florence for Pitti Uomo and had a great time staying here. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. The host Laura was amazing and did everything possible to make sure my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The B&B is in a great location. I would definitely stay there again.
