Good option for sleep and put your stuff safe. Near to diferents metro station and the airport limousine bus walking. We stayed with my kids and we highly recommend good and economic option. Is not a hotel you rent the room and nobody goes inside during your stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good place to stay for the price"
It's a old 1DK apartment and everything is kind of old. but close to Tokyo Metro (subway, trains) if you are traveling many area in tokyo, it's so convenient to go any place in Tokyo. We stayed as a family and had a wonderful time. For the price, and if you don't look for the luxury, it's a wonderful palce to stay. We will probably stay there again. The nearest subway station is Suitengumae, about 10 minutes walk. But there are more restaurants near the other nearby subway station, Monzennakacho. Owner/Manager very friendly, and good English. He personally installed free Wi-Fi connector. The room with the river view is fantastic, and you could not get more relaxing view at 4 times the price. The […] room is a converted "one-ki" apartment, but is functional. This place would be ideal for long-term stays of one week or more, as they have weekly and monthly rates. Excellent location, very nice manager and very good value. I would certainly recommend it. It would probably suit people who already know Tokyo more than people who are visiting for the first time or who can't speak JapaneseGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for budget travelers."
Overall, I thought this was a great hotel for budget travelers. Its actually more of an apartment complex that you rent. Not much is provided here except mainly a place to sleep. There is no room service here and very minimal accommodation. Bring your own towel, soap, toothbrush (and toothpaste). There are however some important things, like free internet […] (you do need your own device), a fridge, a microwave, a TV (but its all in Japanese). The most important aspect here is the hotel owner. A true gentleman who speaks great English and will recommend great things for you to see or do if you ask. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Minimalist interior but clean and the view was pleasant-update the furniture and replace the miserable beds and this would be a fine place to stay-the mattress springs actually protrude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value, but probably not for newbies to Japan"
I enjoyed my stay at the Kurumi Mansion and, as others have written, the manager (owner?) is a very nice guy. I would, however, caution that it is not particularly close to any subway stations (in spite of how it may look on a map) and the surrounding neighborhood is mostly residential, which is fine, but a bit dull (though not without scenic interest). […] I lived in Japan for three years and have reasonable Japanese language skills, but I still managed to screw up my late night train connection on one occasion (but had a typically competent & honest Japanese taxi driver bring me back to the Kurumi for a reasonable fare). Overall, the Kurumi Mansion is definitely a good deal by Tokyo standards, but if you've never been to Japan and don't know any Japanese it might be better for you to spend more money and be closer to the sights in Tokyo you want to see, or at least nearer to the train that takes you there. But, it is very reasonably priced and the manager is a fine gentleman. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was run by a kindly old man who allowed us very flexible accommodations for our circumstances. Great location, amazing view every morning. Highly Recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review

The manager was congenial; the room was not what we saw on line and the manager said that the online rooms may have been more expensive than the room we had. We admit that we were disappointed but we settled in and enjoyed being back in Tokyo. I would pay more attention if we did this trip again and make sure we had a more suitable place than we had […] but we adjusted and the manager was always helpful when we needed help. I speak Japanese fluently and that helped. We do not know whether the manager speaks English or not. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall great experience"
For what I paid to stay in this place, it was better than expected. There was free washer and dryers and they even provided laundry detergent at no cost. The manager provided a map of the area and suggested places to visit. The TV had a surprising amount of free channels, and there were remotes for both the TV and the AC. No complaints.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Economical base to travel around Tokyo from."
It was a little hard to find as the sign was small. The room was spacious with a refridgerator, kitchen sink, couch for the TV and 3 beds. A little walk to the subway but 3 stations to chose from. Close to the river, convenience store and several restaurants. Great home base to see a lot of Tokyo; a day-pass on the subway can take you anywhere. Eco […] nomical. "Great place to stay, wish it had internet."
The staff was friendly and spoke English. I had late check in on a day when staff isn't there and they left me a note telling me how to access my room. It is a ten minute walk from the closest station. The hotel has a refrigerator, freezer, burner, kitchen equipment, and extra blankets. They do not provide towels, hand towels, washcloths, soap or conditioner […] so make sure to bring them. There are washing machines and dryers on the third floor for your use free of charge. "Nice, convenient and budget-friendly"
Kurumi Mansion was clean, friendly, and easy to get to if you're coming in from Narita or Haneda (a short walk from the TCAT limousine bus station), and extremely inexpensive for Tokyo. Don't go in expecting luxury accommodations or a traditional tatami-room experience, but we had a kitchenette and our own bathroom - a rare if not unique combination […] in Japanese hotels. Be aware that the room is quite small and the bathroom is tiny! The room had most electrical appliances you might need, although no toaster (just a hot plate and microwave). They even provide free laundry machines! One problem we had was getting internet service - you'll be fine if you bring a computer you can plug an Ethernet cable (which the management provides) into, but the wifi only works if you have a subscription to the Japanese wifi provider (which obviously most foreign travelers will not have). In other words, you won't be able to connect on wifi with your iphone/ipod or similar device. This was quite frustrating, but not really the hotel's fault. The manager, Mr. Sasano, is friendly and helpful. Be aware that there is no staff available (except in emergencies) during evenings and weekends - so if you're arriving at that time be sure to contact them in advance. In addition to being near TCAT, the location is quite good for trains and subway lines (you're in walking distance of three different lines) and near some fun less-touristed areas. Be sure to check out Kiyosumi Tei-en gardens nearby. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"perfect for us"
We stayed here for about 2 weeks and had a room facing the river(rare). Although the building is pretty old, it was nice and cosy. The beds are 2 twin beds which is better than most semi-double beds in standard business hotels. It was warm and personal, more so than the business chain hotels. The price is also reasonable. We love the neighborhood, with […] a quaint and small cafe, supermarkets and combinis easily accessible everywhere. Also, there is a direct train to omotesando area. There is a little laundry room where you could do laundry for free, and even detergent powder is provided. To top it off, there is free wifi in the room, considering that most bigger hotels and even cafes and restaurants in Japan will not have wifi. Be aware that it is a weekly mansion so they don't provide daily cleaning services. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Kurumi weekly mansion, for the wonderful experience! I liked the hotel in general. It has a nice view from one side of the hotel. The location is good in my opinion. "practical apartment type accomodation"
Located in the nice waterfront area in Tokyo, this apartment offered everything I needed. In Tokyo we cannot expect a room larger than this room for this price. The only good thing was the gentleman managing the property. Very helpful courteous, gentle and can speak good English. Other than that, I hate everything. I felt I was short changed. "a place I can recommend"
If its not because of the distance from the nearest subway/train station, I could have rate it 5stars. Basically one has to keep his own room tidy as there ia no room service. The manager is very accomodating (during office hours). Both wifi and Lan is available. Nearest convenient store is just a few walk away. Restaurant is around 5mins walk. Room […] space is quite adequate. Hot and cold water available. TV is there but never really use it due to all channels are in japanese. Electric pot, induction stove and microwave available for use inside the room. It does take a whilw to understand how the aircon remote works since everything are in japanese. "Friendly and well located - did the job"
We originally booked this hotel for 6 nights, but decided to extend our stay which was no hassle. As two female travellers we really struggled to find suitable accommodation in Tokyo. This is definitely not a hostel to meet other travellers but provided us with a great base to explore Tokyo. The advice and service provided by the hotel manager was superb, […] our room was next to the laundry facilities, which could sometimes cause noise (only used 0900-2100 so wasn't an issue for us) without having said anything, the manager gave us ¥2000 worth of vouchers which could be used in most stores. The room was a little dated, but provided us with everything we needed, it even had a fridge and microwave which proved very useful. The only downfall for us was the lack of free wireless internet. There are lots of different wireless networks throughout Tokyo, which were also available in the hotel, however you were required to sign up and pay a fee. There is a LAN connection in the room, but without a laptop this is useless. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back if ever in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location and excellent transport links"
This is a great base for exploring Tokyo, close to several subway stations, shops, restaurants etc. The room is basic, but fine for a few days. Genuine Hotels.com guest review
