Nice quality 3* hotel in Wilmersdorf ( which isn't an area I know so well ) Hotel nicely specced and very clean, Reception staff happy ( and competent ) with my touristy enquiries. Breakfast €9 is silly- there's coffee and pastry shops round the corner far better value. Will be happy to stay there again, Make sure you get the "bearings" right from the U-Bahn, it's a little anonymous and easy to get lost :)

The hotel has a theme: "old Berlin", so it's not the typical modern "standard" hotel. Practical note: even if there is an elevator, you'll still need to climb quite a few stairs to get to the room's level at any floor, so if that's a problem for you, beware (or pack lightly ;-) The breakfast is good, the internal restaurant is nice (closed on sunday evening), free WiFi internet (good speed) but (in my room) no desk... I had to work with the laptop... on my lap. The location is good even if not stellar: the nearest U/S Bahn stop is 10 minutes walk away, but being in the smack middle of the city means you can get anywhere quite easily. I was on a business trip so I missed a desk and can't quite comment on the location from a tourist's point of view, but I guess it's a very good location in that sense.
Location.
Conveniently connected to the airport, Fasanenhaus is in Berlin (Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf), close to Berlin Kathe Kollwitz Museum, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and Berlin Zoo. Also nearby are Victory Column and Schloss Charlottenburg.
Property Features.
A complimentary breakfast is available. In addition to tour/ticket assistance, Fasanenhaus features a safe deposit box at the front desk. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. "Centralt i forhold til seværdigheder og U-bahn"
Vi fik et lidt bedre værelse, da det oprindelige vistnok havde problemer med vandtilførsel. Fint nok. Betjeningen var venlig. Men der var en infernalsk støj et par gange om morgenen ved 7-tiden. Om det var fra hotellet eller ovenboen, ved jeg ikke. Morgenmaden var ikke så spændendende , som vi ofte finder i Tyskland. Brødet virkede lid sejt.
