Nice hotel, room was ok'ish (shame upstairs the noisy floorboards upstairs above our room!). Food was generally ok (shame about the cold mussels they tried to serve us - they went straight back!). Overall was generally fine, good location too (just off main roundabout).

Beautiful location, however it is a number of single track lanes to get there. Very friendly and helpful inn keepers. Great breakfast. Enjoyable to walk the 240 acre farm. Convenient to other local sights in Devon.

very pleasant. we stayed here last year and the hotel has been nicely upgraded. English Breakfast was very nice and less greasy than you might expect.Easy and short work to the center of Exeter.

"Beautiful location"
Would thoroughly recommend the Anchor Inn. It has a wonderful location on the River Exe and close to a wealth of Devon and Somerset villages and attractions. Anne and John are delightful hosts who made us very welcome. Although we did not eat in the restaurant the food looked good and the menu was impressive. Breakfast was excellent.
