The Cathedral Hotel is centrally located and the staff were marvelous. Our family enjoyed our visit to the town and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. There is no parking, which can't be helped because of the location, but they gave clear instructions on town lots not too far away. We had a good dinner and full breakfast at the hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

I only stayed at Wisteria for one night, I was doing a short trip to Stonehenge, so I wasn't there very long, but I really like the accommodation. It is a little outside of town, but it is actually pretty easily accessible by bus, the 7x, which I did not realize when I came in so I took a cab. Do your homework beforehand. I had a single room, and it was a nice size and good shower/facilities. There is no TV in the room, but there was a nice lounge area with a TV, games, tea kettle, et al. Felicity made the stay very easy and I can't say enough about her: I left my phone in my room and had a very short period of time before I was going to be leaving London. She worked with me by phone and email to overnight the phone to my London hotel before I left the UK. Highly recommend!

Spent three nights here and was very comfortable. Charming house with great garden. The hosts were very friendly and everything was spotless. Breakfast was in true English style in the elegant dining room. I recommend the eggs with smoked salmon.

This is a great place for a little get-away into the New Forest. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help with our stay. We were looking at a nearby "Manor" hotel, but decided that a smaller more intimate place would be better - we were really happy with our decision!

Lovely hotel. With friendly staff. Did have a problem in our room with music from the restaurant but we asked them to turn it off and they did. Apparently they has recently moved the speakers and didn't realise that they could be heard in our room. Lovely Cider in bar .

all staff were extremely helpful in every respect. there was a problem with the plumbing which was attended asap. warm and interesting people, innovative presentation of many aspects of the cottage and the food. food was gourmet standard.

Even though my girlfriend and I only stayed for one night, the Thatched Cottage left a lasting impression on both of us. Our room, 'Assam Bop', was a decent size and beautifully decorated. The bed was huge and bouncy, mineral water was supplied as standard, the bathroom had a large walk in shower...everything was clean and perfect for fans of old fashioned […] accomodation. However, 'old fashioned' doesn't mean dated in this case as it does with some older hotels. The free wi-fi was fast and easy to connect to for example, although the room's Freeview TV could be a bit bigger/more responsive. Finally, the free breakfast was lovely with a fairly good continental selection all laid out, and an impressive array of cooked options ready to be made to our liking. Read more

Only disappointment was the bed was very uncomfortable in the 'Jasmin room' if this was changed then would be perfect!
