Needs a bit of a spruce up but for a town centre hotel with parking (rare in Cambridge) can't beat it. Wouldn't want to spend a week there but as a Launch or Crash Pad its ideal....

Stayed here for 2 nights over the Christmas holiday. Reserved 2 rooms, both with king size beds, for our family of four. Beds very comfortable. Full English breakfast both mornings was delicious. Staff very friendly. Hotel highly recommended

I loved the nooks and crannies of this hotel. It was obviously many hundreds of years old, yet modernised and completely up-to-date in service. The sleep was comfortable, the windows opened without trouble (England was having a hot spell when I visited), and the breakfast was served quickly and was delicious.

The Bell Hotel is a typical old English Pub/Hotel, Un much need of a lot of money being spent on it (Which the poor owners has not got). We stayed here because the nearest Trevel Lodge was £60 for a double,without breakfast.Here we paid £65 a night and with breakfast too. Room was very dated and apart from the bath room relatively clean. Very noisy at night, as room was located above the outside smoking area and doesn't benefit from double glazing. I booked to stay in this hotel for two nights for my Honeymoon. When we got to the hotel we decovered that they didn't have room for us and all others were booked for wedding that was happening. Even though the manager did try and find us another hotel in the area, all were booked and so we had turn around and go home back to Portsmouth. Very disappointed […] and upset. Read more

Town centre is beginning to look tired and so different from when I regulary stayed at The Bell over 25 years ago. The staff are friendly but the hotel needs some Monet spent on it.
