Earls Court Studios - London

My wife and I stayed here for 8 days. We had the double studio apartment, and it was fine for us. Double bed was comfy, room was clean and location is great, very close to the subway, to restaurants and food stores. Most subway rides were about 20-30 minutes to the big tourist sites. Though you are not going to cook any gourmet meals here, you will […] find the basics needed for quick breakfast and dinners. We found Damir and Svetlana friendly and helpful. And though it doesn't advertise on the website for some reason, they do offer free wi-fi, which we found useful to plan the next day's activities and check the weather. We were pleased with the place, so we recommend the hotel, but it may not be for everyone. Some caveats to consider, the rooms are small, just enough room to get around the bed/kitchen and in the bathroom. There is no elevator, but it is only 3 stories tall. Road noise is present, especially when the ambulance from the nearby hospital goes through the stop light (couple of times a day); noise level is not bad, but noticeable. So if you are looking for a clean, well located apartment where you can fix quick meals, this is the place, but if you are looking for something more spacious, bit quieter where you can spend more time, keep looking. For what it is, this is a great place, just expect a basic, clean studio apartment. If that is your expectations, book here. Read more

I did hours of research before deciding on booking this location and I couldn't have been MORE pleased!! The Studio is located mere steps (<100ft) from Earl's Court tube station (which has three different lines running through it), making travel around the city VERY convenient. I had originally reserved a single room. The room i was given was through the side door into a courtyard and up some metal stairs. The room was no bigger then a walk-in closet and had a slanted ceiling. Being 6'2 i kept hitting my head on the beams in the ceiliing. On the plus side, when i complained it seems there was a cancellation. The staff allowed me to move to a larger room for no extra charge, albeit it was 4 floors up with no lift. We were a group of five...three teenagers and two adults. The space was just enough for 12 days, especially with all the touring that we did. We did not spend a lot of time in the room except in the evenings. The kitchen was just the right size for preparing small meals. It had everything you could need. We were in London for an overnight stay - we had stayed at Earls Court Studios once before, during renovations. Pleased to report that the renovations are now complete and the place looks great! Our needs are basic when we travel, and we found our room to be cosy and it contained everything we needed. The room was clean and tidy and the service we received from Damir on reception was warm, friendly and helpful - we needed a late check in and a place to leave our bags the following day while we attended an appointment. The room was very small but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for Earls Court - you could throw a stone at the entrance! The customer service was perfect too. We stayed in a twin room (16) at Earls Court Studios from 2 - 5 April 2013. Having carefully read many reviews before booking, I'm pleased to say it was better than expected. The room was actually bigger than I thought it would be (see pics). Bathroom was small but clean and had bath / shower combo. Beds were quite soft but comfortable. Bath towel […] only provided, (no hand towels). We stayed for three nights and the towels weren't changed. Kitchen was quite well equipped - microwave, hob & oven, cutlery for two and a selection of knives and other utensils. There was no toaster which I think would be a big improvement also no choping board. The oven was clean but the grill pan needed a good scour! (No grill!) Washing liquid provided but bring you own T towels and dish clothes ( & scourer!). To get to room 16 you will have to climb 30 plus stairs up a narrow stairwell. There are no lifts. Carrying own suitcases up stairs was not pleasant, but Damir kindly brought them down for us when checking out. We arrived at 10.30am in the morning and as our room wasn't occupied were allowed to get access to it straight away - ahead of check in time, which was great! Check out time is 10am and they will store your luggage for you at no extra charge. Overall I thought this was very good value for the money. The location was perfect for us and I would stay again. Room was small,but that was expected. Shower extremely small, if you drop your soap don't expect to be able to pick it up. Washing machine takes 5 hours for a cycle. So do it in the morning as alway busy att night. Staff very helpful if you needed help.

The staff are really great, friendly and helpful. The studios are right next door to earls court and across the road from the underground. The sleeping area and bathroom was clean and fresh looking it was just the kitchen area that let it down, the oven was dirty and the cups were chipped, had to wash cutlery and plates before I used them which was […] unfortunate. We chose these apartments for their location, and proximity to shops for self-catering supplies. On the plus side: location, comfy beds. Excellent location, less than a minute from the tube! Nice neighbourhood, certainly felt safe walking around at night and close to restaurants and a co-op. Staff were helpful and the room was clean and cosy - some may find it too small, but for our purposes it was fine. Portlier folk will have trouble with the shower, but that's to be expected in London. […] The place seems to be undergoing renovation, as there were workmen in the hallways during the day putting up panels - it was noisy, but we were hardly there during the day and they worked at reasonable hours. Bed seemed to be new - clean and very comfortable, and we had two large towels provided for us (we had brought towels with us due to other reviews mentioning it but we didn't need them). It looks like they are reading reviews online and addressing problems! We had a great time in London and were very happy with our stay in Earl's Court Studios. The two people running these apartments (not hotel) are very nice. Unfortunately it is not a hotel so do not expect service throughout your stay i.e. towel changes , emptying of bins, air con, simply does not happen. In fact on arrival our bin was full from previous tenants which wasn't great in the London heat. In addition to this there was a mouse […] (could be mice, only saw one) in our apartment which was quite unnerving.If this was a hotel I'd be much more annoyed but we only used it as a base and did nothing more than sleep there. This is a cheap self contained apartment. If you arrive with that in mind you won't be disappointed. The hotel shows wear and tear and there is no lift but the managers help with any bags. The kitchen works well but is not well stocked with crockery. The room I stayed in was a good size, had a fabulously comfortable bed, with new sheets and bedding. Near the studios you can find groceries, pubs and places to eat. The tube is just over the street. They say it's 24h reception, but actually they are not present all the time, but you have to use your phone and call the guy/girl to come at the spot. Prepare for that. Min datter på 12 år og jeg boede der i 6 nætter og vi var rigtig godt tilfredse med stedet. I småtingsafdelingen kan nævnes at der var lidt varmt om natten på trods af åbent vindue og så var det til tider lidt svært at få fat i receptionisten også da vi skulle aflevere nøglen efter endt ophold. Det var ikke noe å si på hvordan du blir bemøtt på hotellet. Men når jeg kom sto det ting fra tidligere gjester igjen, var skittent og alt på rommet var dårlig pusset opp. "Det rolige strøket" der det går en sirene en gang hvert 10.minutt, ikke er gardiner og dårlig lydisolert generellt og løpinga i trappene til døgnets alle tider. ヒースロー空港から地下鉄一本で駅至近、ホームから地上までエレベーターあり、という恵まれた立地。建物内は狭く急な階段のみだが、荷物は運んでくれる。部屋は広く内装は新しい。キッチン設備も朝食づくりには十分。換気扇を回すと油臭いのは清掃不足かもしれないが大したことではない。前の道路は夜中まで交通量が多くサイレンも引っ切りなしだが、繁華街ではないので人の喧騒はない。唯一最大の不満は、ある朝突然お湯が出なくなるも、フロントは無人で呼んでも誰も出てこず、他の滞在者から「うちの部屋もお湯が出ない」と聞いてすごすご部屋に戻り、復旧後スタッフに会っても一言も説明がなかったこと。イギリス在住の知人によれば、お湯が出なくなって管理者が知らん振りを決め込むのは、アパートではよくあることとか。お国柄と諦めてトラブルも […] 楽しめる方にはお勧めです。 Read more

Suveren beliggenhet! Ligger rett ved Earls Court tubestation, som LETT tar deg alle steder i London som du måtte ønske. Så det er supersentralt. Jeg følte meg også trygg i dette området. Til Earls Court Studios kunne man komme og gå som man ønsket, og man har nøkkel som passer til både rommet sitt og ytterdøren (hovedinngangen). Jeg hadde eget kjøkken, […] eget bad, og helt greit med plass. Dusjen var digg! Det er viktig for meg. Det var til og med en OK utsikt slik at man får en følelse av hvordan været er :-) Eieren er en skikkelig kul og hyggelig mann som hjelper til med alt mulig hvis man spør :-) Jeg bodde her i 3 netter, og satte utrolig pris på stedet. Ingen mas av noe slag. Det eneste var at jeg opplevde det som veldig lytt fra rom til rom, men dette plaget meg egentlig veldig lite. Selv sang jeg til radioen og var sikkert til bry for noen innimellom, men jeg fikk ingen klager.. hehe.. Så alt i alt var mitt opphold her helt topp, og jeg VET hvor jeg skal bo neste gang jeg er i London og velger bosted utfra stramt budsjett. Da kan man shoppe desto mer! Hurra :-) Read more

Our 5-people studio was very nice and clean. Good contact with the owner before our arrival. Towels were included in the price of the room even though it's written that they charge extra fee. Vi havde et meget behageligt ophold på Earls Court Studios. God indretning og udnyttelse af plads, fine skabe til tøj og kufferter. Dejligt med køleskab, kogekande og microovn på værelset, hvilket gjorde det nemt og billigt mht. morgenmad, eller en forfriskning, når man kommer hjem om aftenen. J'ai passé 3 nuits en chambre single. La chambre est très petite mais très propre. Le seul inconvénient pour moi est qu'il n'y avait pas de table pour manger dans cette chambre, mais je pense qu'il y en a dans les autres qui sont plus grandes. Autre inconvénient mais qui ne la pas gênée, ce n'est pas réellement un hotel, donc il ne faut pas s'attendre […] a voir quelqu'un en permanence à la réception. Pour les points positifs, un excellent accueil, le propriétaire est très aimable et serviable, chambre très propre à mon arrivée, fonctionnelle même si minuscule, réellement à côté du métro (50m de la sortie Warwick Road de la Station Earls Court), bref un excellent rapport qualités tic pour le centre de Londres !
