Perhaps this was a 2 star hotel years ago, but now we would classify this as a negative star and decrepit. The pool was filled with animal droppings. The rooms had flies, no paper products at all. We declined the first room presented (no Hot water)and were shown 2 other rooms with various issues of their own. The shower window was broken in one room. There wasn't a spoon or even a plastic cup for washing teeth and no hand towels. The front desk was miserable and not present after 9pm. When taking a shower the water was spouting from an underground pipe outside the room. The front door of the last room had a hole in the door where someone had kicked their way out. What was to be a romantic getaway turned into a nightmare. Stay away!!

Good things: 1. Huge room. Consider this as an apartment. 2. Sunset is awesome. All rooms are ocean facing. Location is good for the view. 3. A short run to Zoni beach(turtle beach). Things to improve: 1. Housekeeping needs to improve. The service guy left towels in a bag on the table. The couch seems to need some cleaning. The floor is sticky. 2. You need to pay for your breakfast. Breakfast room is very tiny. 3. No internet in the room. 4. Mosquitoes will keep you awake in the night if you don't use repellents. 5. Needed some effort to close the balcony glass door. Opening the main door was tricky. 6. You might need a Jeep to reach this place. Golf cart can be tricky on the road with potholes and dirt patches. 7. All employees vanish after 9pm.

Looks great in pictures. Very adequate place to stay. Management does not pay much attention to details, tho. No food to be had in this hotel, or the island. You can plan for that, I guess. Great ceramic tile floors. What about that bed? Queen mattress on a fullsize box spring? No hair dryers. Fun parking on hills that have 25-30 degree inclines. This was probably the best hotel on island, tho. Town is pretty bad. Streets are barely wide enough to accommodate 2 cars, and then they park on streets. . . so bedlam. It would be a good idea to LEVEL the town and START OVER. A few restaurants are located downtown . . good luck finding them open & having a place to park. Beaches are fantasic. Island needs a K-Mart, a McDonalds, some pizza, and a restaurant or two . . .all away from the town. Yes, I would visit again, but I'd try to prepare better the next time. THis hotel could be a 4-star if they paid attention to details. I'll go with the 2.4 or 2.5 stars.

My husband and I arrive to the hotel at 5:30pm was told the restaurant was close. If we wanted something to eat need to go the the town. The room was very outdated, mosquitoes everywhere. It said beachfront there is no beach at all. Will not go back at all.

The condition of the hotel and rooms are in disrepair. There was no maid service or cleaning of the rooms. There was limited food service by an outside vendor and no dinner service at the site. Pool chairs were broken.

Hotel need to be up keeped. Rooms needed painting and some maintainance. Toilet ran water all night. When I informed the front desk, I was informed, that a private company was responsible for it getting fixed. Lacked towels for the pool. Other than this the Island has many Beautiful beaches to visit and most locals are very friendly.

The resort is nice, but its very far from the beaches. Its good if you want to stay within the resort. The rooms are large and comfortable, but not very well maintained. There seems to be no cleaning done after checkout. The bathtub leaked and there were old hand towels in our room. The blankets looked like they had never been washed. The hotel charges a cleaning fee, so I'm not surprised that people who stay for a day or two don't get their rooms cleaned during the stay.

Great view. The room had many plugs, light, and water issues. The Internet was useless to even check email. The kitchen did not have any utensils, cups, plates, etc. There was no bath mat, hand towels, or wash clothes. The dinner restaurant was closed and under renovation. The store/breakfast place was not opened the first morning. The second morning it was open and the food was fine but the customer service was sub par and the prices high. Stray cats tried to steal your food as you ate outside. The bathrooms by the pool were nasty and when I complained the front desk said it was the job of another business to take care of it. I would not stay here again.

The rooms could use some repairs and a coffee maker and cups, but they are clean and fairly large. It is a bit far from town, and the restaurant was closed, so you have to rent a cab or a car to get food. Looks like they are fixing the restaurant and mini mart, so the may be open soon

For the price I think the hotel is ok, but its pretty far away from the turistic areas of Culebra and....if you dont go to there with a big group, the Taxi transportation is NOT reliable at all...we called several taxi's and none of them appeared...or were still sleeping at 9am...ended up having to call the car rental to pick us up and rented a golf cart instead (which is more than enough to go anywhere around the island if ur not in a big group).

It was great! The pool was good, however all the amenities were not available nor the personel yo provide you with quality service. If you go like me, i just wanted a place to stay the night that is the right place to go. If you are loooking for full 5 stars attention and service, unfortunately, they do not have that. Great, and beautiful place, not too expensive but poor service.

If you like "rustic" accommodations, "camaraderie" with your neighbors, the thrill of driving obstacle courses littered with cars, boulders and potholes, and a basic "dog eat dog (chicken)" experience, then this is the place for you. Oh, and don't forget about the very welcoming Carlos! He doesn't get to the front desk much but you can find him chugging beers at the ferry landing with the young women who disembark. This place was truly an experience, and one I would recommend that NO ONE repeat! The ferry was delayed several hours and we arrived late on a Wednesday. Carlos did show up at the desk that night (we were prepaid, so he had to!) but the only room available had no working TV. We were tired so took it. He didn't mention that it had not been cleaned! There were "clean" sheets, but no blankets! Note: Blankets apparently are provided at the discretion of unit owners, and can be purchased in the (dirty) gift shop. But, think ahead, the shop is open only occasionally. An injured cat slept on the balcony furniture. We realized the next day why he slept there...Hundreds of roaming chickens, roosters with evil spurs, peacocks and hens, and dogs everywhere. We requested a clean room, and were assigned one LATE in the evening the next day. Carlos did tell us we would get a $100 credit, but never made good on that promise.We were offered NO help in moving our belongings up the steep hill to the netherworld up there. Staff were great. Room was spacious, clean, bed comfortable. Pools were awesome. We were ther 2 week October so very disappointed the pool bar was not open. Other than that were enjoyed our stay. Hotel restaurant was very good, but on,y open for dinner. Finding decent food on the island difficult. People on the island very friendly. Fare on the ferry from Fajardo was almost nothing. We enjoyed our stay.

Well over price for no amenities. They have a pretty pool but if you came for the beach you will probably won't use. The room was very dirty and unkept. It smell and looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Literally there were piles of dirt, the sofa was very yellow and dingy. The Tvs did not work, their Wifi did not work, there was no water for a few hours ome day in the morning. They mowed the lawn very early in the morning having no consideration that some of us were on vacation and did not have to get up at 6:30 am. Very far from the beach, will need your transportation or pay a taxi. Overall very bad experience with this Sea Breeze. The gentleman at the reception desk was nice but useless if nothing is done about the problems.

Sea Breeze Hotel- also know as Costa Bonita is not a Hotel. Sea Breeze is a privately own vacation apartments rental. They have two administration which cannot provide the service they offered online. When we got there they could not find our paid reservation. I was disappointed. We travel from far a way expecting hotel service. Towels were limited and in bad conditions. Also the bedding sheets and pillows. Coffee machine was broken. Limited toilet paper. Bathroom was dirty. Housekeeping service is available for extra charge.

This hotel is characterized as "luxury" - and it is, by local standards. if you're looking for the kind of service you're used to in the States and for staff to jump at every beck and call, it won't happen here. But the staff are friendly and helpful and met every one of our requests with a smile. Okay, so there was only one key to our room, and housekeeping only came once during our week. But if we had left the key for them every day they would have cleaned every day. And when we needed clean towels and linens we stopped at the front desk and asked for them, and they gave us as many as we wanted. No, there were no utensils in the kitchen so we asked for some and they gave us what we asked for. In other words, you have to be proactive and not just sit around and complain about poor service and accommodations. This is Culebra - why would you want to be in a hotel where everyone is running at a NYC pace? We actually found it nice that no one was in our room unless we arranged for it - it felt private and like it was our experience to control as we wished. Plus the food was great, the drinks were great and often on the house and the pool was beautiful. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but it's a small island and with our rented jeep we got everywhere we wanted to go within 10-15 minutes. And, again, the hotel staff was so laid back we could park anyplace without a hassle.

As a first time visitor to Culebra, I was trying to make a safe choice by picking this "resort". While it has many of the amenities of a resort, it has very little of the service you'd expect booking a resort. But I don't want to be too harsh. I soon realized the service was on par with the rest of Culebra - not much. It's a beautiful place to visit if you are adventurous and self sufficient and just want to linger on the gorgeous beaches, snorkel, sail.. all of which we were able to do from our base at the Sea Breeze. A better description of this property is a village of condos on a hill overlooking the Honda Bay that has a pool with a swim-up bar. We got a suite high up on the hill with an amazing view. The stay was worth it just for the view. It's a 15 minute drive from town and you'll need a car or jeep. It was very quiet, almost abandoned when we visited Mon-Wed. But I understand it can get busy and noisy on the weekends, so I'm glad we missed that. There were some nice helpful staff, particularly the water sports folks who will rent you a kayak, snorkel, sunfish, paddle board. We had a surprisingly tasty meal, but the restaurant was like the breakfast room in a budget hotel. But if I were to visit again I'd try one of the villas in town.

The island is beautiful, the beaches are the most clean and beautiful I ever seen, but the experience at the hotel was terrible. The sevice was very bad, the restaurant was not prepare for the amount of people staying in. The surroundings of the hotel smell very awfull. I will never stay there again.

The resort is not really run as a hotel but more as convenience for villa owners. Setting is beautiful but out of the way and would recommend renting a jeep to get around. Staff needs some major training as they just seem to mosey around with out any concern for peoples time. Culebra is a beautiful island but lacking in hotel options as I couldn't find a recommendation for a better lodging from the locals.

What a dump!! The website is very misleading. The pool side bar & grills are seldom open, the restaurant only open occasionally. There is no beach, no activities and the employees show up when it suits them. My "suite" had no towels, the floor was so filthy that I had to wear flip flops or my feet would be black. Peeling plaster & paint in the room. I watched some of the employees working their tails off, while others completely ignored customers & their jobs. The hotel is very disorganized & the manager (Mundo) was certainly trying his best to keep people happy, but his job is virtually impossible with what he has to work with. If you want good service, Joshua is the man to go to. Simon in the store is very helpful, as is Giovani at the desk. Don't expect to eat there, if the chef shows up, they are usually out of things on the menu. The manager himself cooked a burger for me because the chef chose not to come to work. It was the best burger I have ever eaten. Don't expect to find any tour or activity info available, you're on your own! If you plan to only sit by the pool all day & eat vending machine food, this is your place. Even with all the villas full, I only saw about 10 visitors actually there for any length of time, they don't spend their time or money there because it's limited and boring. Unless you consider the Cuban man who was old enough to be my father proposition me & want to come to my villa with beer and drink exciting! To sum it up, Definitely not worth it

Sea Breeze is in a beautiful location and has terrific large resort-style pools. The food at the restaurant was good. Our room had a few glitches (one of the two bathroom sinks was missing and the bathtub handle was detached from the faucet). The views out the window were great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I thought that the view was spectacular and the pool was nice. That was the only highlight of this "hotel". It is far away from the town and the road to get there is in shambles. Each trip in a taxi is $5.00 each way per person. The so called restaurant is not open for lunch. We had no AC in our room when we first got there. They later fixed it. We had no cable so that part of our room description was false. And the next morning we had no water in our room. no one did. There was no hotel personnel available. They did not arrive until 8 AM. And they could not even offer a cup of coffee during dinner which was terrible. I would never recommend this place. The staff was pleasant but overworked, the same people have a variety of jobs. No manager in sight. Too bad because the island is beautiful.

Garbage along access road gives bad first impression. We knew about financial difficulty maintaining this condo site (it is not a hotel) despite very low guest occupancy, so our expectations were not high. Property is lovely with outstanding pool. Foot-path access to Mosquito Bay would make it better. Our one BR unit had A+ view, bed, linen, air-conditioning, TV with movie channel and coffee machine (both given free to us). Hot water OK (after adjusting) also microwave and frig. Absent were utensils, plates, coffee mugs, bath-plug, etc. Plumbing leaked. Advise guests to bring a can-opener, cork-screw, salt cellar. We would not recommend without a rented car. Our concern that there would be extra charges was unfounded. "Paid in full" was correct, but normally extras are the TV, expensive hourly rental of kayaks or the one Sunfish.

Alles ist heruntergekommen. Alles. Dreckig, kaputt, Türen und Tische haben ausgebrochene Maserungen, Putz blättert ab, Badezimmerfenster lässt sich weder öffnen noch schließen. Von 12 Glühbirnen waren 8 defekt. Putzfrau kam die letzten 5 Tage gar nicht mehr.

El hotel es espectacular pero no tiene buena limpieza ni en las habitaciones, ni las piscinas. Me quede asombrada porque en los cuartos no tienen televisores. El servicio al cliente es excelente y como dato curioso deben de abrir el restaurante ya que en la mayoria del tiempo esta cerrado.
