Our daughter was studying abroad at the Univ of Limerick and this hotel was 1 block from her on campus housing! Very nice clean room with a great bar and restaurant also very nice pool and workout area, convenience store and cafe next door also-would stay there again for sure

We booked at Carrygerry Country House because we wanted easy access to the airport and because we like countryside rather than urban locations. While we were a bit daunted by the narrow country roads immediately surrounding Carrygerry, we loved the ambiance of the historic home, the lovely antique furnishings, the quiet, bucolic setting. The hosts are most welcoming and gracious. Our only disappointment was that we had such a short time there as we used it primarily to be close to the airport. We would return there if were using Shannon airport again, or as a 2-3 day base for exploring southwest Ireland.

Situated in the heart of Limerick, The Pier Hotel is close to Arthur's Quay Park, St. Mary's Cathedral, and The Treaty Stone. Also nearby are King John's Castle and Angela's Ashes Walking Tour.

I stayed in the hotel with my wife and my 2 daughters. On saturday while I was sitting at the bar, the stool collapsed and I had the pleasant expeience of ending up on the floor. The noise level in the rooms was unbearable - band played in the bar until 2am and we heard every conversation on the street until 5am. Breakfast was extra and very basic - […] no provision for people with special dietary requirements. From the moment we arrived the staff at the desk received us with a very warm and friendly welcome. Comfortable Clean rooms (not huge). Clean ensuite. Comfortable bed. No Fridge. Good front of house staff. Right in the heart of the city. Parking could be difficult at certain times.

Great hotel to stay in for Munster matches at Thomond Park (10minute walk) or for shopping (1 minute walk). The hotel has free parking also which was very convenient.
