      Third visit to this apart-hotel on the last week of December. Quiet surroundings, a supermarket and a take-away Indian restaurant next door, a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and the port with very nice restaurants and cafes. No nightlife whatsoever, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Excellent breakfast buffet with custom omelettes and fresh fruit. Pretty steep hill means no sunshine on the terrace in the morning. Not all pools are heated, which make them pretty cold in December. Working Wifi. No complaints on quality of service or location. The bathroom is starting to show some signs of wear, but nothing disturbing. Will definitely be coming back for a short do-nothing practicality-over-style unwinding break.

      The reason we choose this hotel was because we had to catch a plane at 8AM and it was promoted that there was a van service to take us to the airport, but what was not comunicated before was that there was no service early in the morning so we had to pay 20 euros for a taxi.

      This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! I and my girlfriend got married here in March 2012 and our 10 day stay was fantastic. The hotel itself is great, the staff was kind and professional and Mogan as a whole a dream. The only thing that didn´t work 100% was the Internet connection in our room, but that was just temporary. I therefore want to recommend anyone to stay here anytime!!!

      We stayed here lured by the pictures and the location did not disappoint - amazing views of the mountains and valleys. The drive up/down is not for the faint of heart - very skinny cliff roads with many switch-backs and need to look out for bikers and locals passing you (and barely enough space for two cars most of the way) - but it is worth it (including the drive if you are able to relax enough to enjoy it). The hotel is by itself perched above the very small San Bartolome village, and there is little to do up there other than enjoy the view, hike/bike, or take advantage of the hotel facilities (with a very nice spa, pool, gym, and tennis courts). We preferred to drive down to the shore during the day (takes around 30 minutes due to the roads) and escape to the mountains for the evening. As many on here have said, the food is not great, especially the buffet (which should be expected - not sure there is such a thing as a "good" buffet). However, ordering a la carte, the food is much better and likely cheaper than the buffet anyways. So, steering clear of the buffet dinner (breakfast is standard European buffet and is perfectly acceptable), there is little not to like about the place. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, room was lacking in a few ways (no wireless - only in the lobby area, no corkscrews, very small tv), but all forgivable given the location (and that it's Europe, where few hotels have the standard amenities Americans are used to getting in decent hotels).

      engoed my stay werry much, from the time of cheak in hotell is easy to locate, just around the coner in small peasfull willage, and less then 5min drive from the sea, althou the road from the noth is hard( along the sae on a mounten bus driver was local) adrenalin was jumping in my weins, but driver stop at the door Hotel is well desingt withouth losin a homey feeling. The oportunity to set down in zakusi or have my morning cofe looking at sharp shaped mountains, was a great expiriense. Deafenetly woud recomend as an exsiting getaway, for those who got taerd of layng around and want to see what the island had to offer.

    A short hint for those who are staying at the hotel for the first time. Check you are not given a room overlooking a room overlooking the children's... play area.Over the hotel boundary wall beyond the play area very loud music was played from 10 -12 am four nights of our stay .We were told the music had to stop at 12 as they had a licence until that time. We could have sung along as we could hear every word! Management did not contact us after the complaint,when we mentioned again they said they were unable to do anything about it!     As previous reviews have said, the hotel is a little dated in decor. However, staff pool, and bedroom are all super. The hotel is immaculately kept. We booked half board and the choice and quality of food was amazing. Definitely going back for another winter week.

    We recommend this hotel highly - especially for the wonderful variety and quality of food served for breakfast and dinner buffets. The staff were extremely welcoming, and made us feel at home - we did not want to leave in the end! Overall, an excellent experience, however - one thing to point out would be that we were shocked so many women were carelessly […] topless and walking about without any care for modesty around the pool. This may be seemingly "normal" for some, but as a hotel that claims to be family-friendly, it is not what I expect when my children are playing in the pool. Obviously the tastelessness of guests is not the fault of the hotel, so a definite recommendation all round for the hotel - its food, amazing views from the top and excellent staff. Read more

Ett modernt hotell som attraherar en yngre generation behöver ha fri Wi-fi i lobbyn, ett gym, modern inredning, engreppsblandare och inte minst mjuka sängar med täcken och påslakan (istället gammaldags filt och enkelt lakan). Det har inte Riu Papaya. Vad beträffar renoveringsbehovet […] så börjar putsen släppa från en del balkonger, heltäckningsmattorna har permanenta fläckar i korridorerna och det mahognyimiterade listverken bedagade. Lobbyn ger dock ett fräscht intryck. Personalen är trots ovanstående mycket trevlig och kompetent, maten är jättegod och vi hade många samtal med kockar och lobbypersonal som höjde betyget. Bra rum - nackdel en för hård och knölig säng - endast en av sängarna som var dålig - jag klagade aldrig så eventuellt hade den kunnat bli utbytt. För mycket palmer runt poolen dvs flera skuggiga platser som gjorde att hotellgästerna markerade platser redan i ottan. Sedan utnyttjades inte […] de soliga platserna av dessa gäster. Det är fel att hälften av solplatserna ligger i skuggan och skapade onödig stress. Vi fick ständigt dessutom försöka byta solplats när solen förflyttade sig bakom palmer.
