We were very pleased with the hotel's location overlooking a park in Calais. It was very reasonably priced, and breakfast was very good. Benoit was accommodating and helpful. Although the hotel is undergoing renovations, our room was pretty and pleasant. It was very reasonably priced, and we would definitely stay there again.

We were delighted with the room, especially for the price. Everything was neat, clean and comfortable and we were about 12 euros by cab from the Calais ferry terminal. We even had kind of a nice view, picturesque docks and a great sunset. The desk clerk was courteous on reception, although as everything in the room was to our satisfaction, we didn't put her to much of a test! Promise of a great dining experience on the premises was what sold us on booking. The food was excellent, although our server, while fluent in English, clearly resented our questions about the menu (not surprisingly, written in French). Of course it was not his job to interpret, but after two weeks on the continent in France and Italy, we had just been spoiled by the graciousness and patience of nearly everybody we had encountered in spite of our feeble language skills Don't let that hold you back. We ended up ordering by the close-your-eyes-and-point system and had a fabulous meal. Small frustration, especially considering there are three more fine dining establishments in the same block, which, regrettably, we had no chance to try! Nice little hotel, perfect for our needs.

We visited this hotel on a relaxing weekend break while we shopped for wine. The hotel is more than adequate, right in the main square of this lovely little town. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. Not a great deal of English spoken, my fault for not brushing up more on my French. Our evening meal was lovely, we didn't stay for breakfast […] as we were not hungry but I have no doubt, it would have been fine. Only down side is the town is very quiet with not much going on. Plezierige stop nabij zee en centraal in oud stadje met na renovatie plein mooi terras. Hulpvaardige staf in net, wat verouderend hotel met goede bedden. Restaurant geen top, maar eten redelijke kwaliteit en uitgebreid tegen zeer schappelijke prijzen.

Hotellet er ok, men er slidt, gammelt og ligger i et område hårdt ramt af krisen. Bør kun benyttes, hvis man ikke kan finde et andet bedre sted. Gravelines er en ret ucharmerende fattig by, og man kan ikke spise ude. Kun et pizzaria havde åbent om aftenen, og de serverede den dårligste pizza jeg nogensinde har oplevet.

Hvis man har et ønske om at bo billigt og hyggeligt i rolige omgivelser, men ellers ikke har de store krav til hotellet, så er det fint lille hotel. Hotellet er af ældre dato, hvilket indretning og interiør bærer lidt præg af (dvs. slidte tæpper og badeværelser). Vores værelse var dog fint og rent. Personalet var venligt og imødekommende - og trods […] deres begrænsede engelskkundskaber, kunne de forstå det meste. Til hotellet hørte en lille restaurant og bar i foyeren, hvor nogle af de lokale holdt til. Stemningen var afslappet og hyggelig. Byen, Gravelines, var dog lidt død under vores ophold (søndag + mandag midt i juli), hvor størstedelen af byens butikker så ud til at holde lukket. Der ligger dog en velkendt Super Spar 20m fra hotellet, hvor proviant til dagsturene kan købes. TIP: Alle hotellets TV-kanaler er på fransk, men i TV-menuen er det (på nogle kanaler og kun til nogle programmer) muligt at skifte fra fransk til engelsk tale - fx ved amerikanske TV-serier. Okay overnatningshotel. Umiddelbart skræmmer baren lidt, men værelserne er okay og hotellets restaurant har en god morgenmad og en glimrende forrets- og dessertmenu. Kan anbefales til hurtig overnatning.
