We had booked at the Venus earlier and had to cancel and were very disappointed to have a one night cancellation charge.the hotel needs a full month... notice when you cancel. When we arrived and told them our concerns they gave us the extra night. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.. The location was fabulous, lots of tour company's and restaurants. The staff were great. The price was right and the rooms are much nicer than the outside appearance. Only complain we like wifi in the room but it was fine in the lobby. The Venus Hotel is a no frills hotel right in the heart of the wonderful town of San Ignacio. There is a drag in front of the hotel where cars cannot drive, you basically walk out onto the street and there are restaurants and bars galore. I won't be staying anywhere else when I come back. Best place for the price.

This is not the nicest hotel, but what do you expect for such a low price. The location is great, right at the edge of the newly reconstructed brick laid downtown Burns Ave., which is now closed to traffic. The people that complain about this place should think more about what their paying for.

The room was clean. The shower was a bit sparse but plenty of hot water and it was on the street that is turned into a pedestrian walk. In the evenings.

Local family owned in the center of the main walking street. Very close to good restaurants, tour operters, and banks. Quiet location but very central at a good price.

Hotellet er veldig fint, mitt i sentrum av hovedgaten i San Ignacio. McGreedy´s (en bar på motsatt siden av gaten) er en fantastisk bar for noen pils!

Hotel ok, entspricht aber nicht Hotel.com Angaben, denn non aircon Zimmer = 1Queenbed for max 2 persons and aircon rooms mit 2Queensize beds for max 4 people. Receptionist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sauber. Dusche mit Warmwasser. Preis/Leistung okay.
