The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. The view from the window was not pleasing, but then the hotel is in the middle of the city and the area is not pretty. We saw some very expensive hotels in the heart of the city and the areas were not nice either. There is a lot of traffic and lots of people, noise and garbage in the city. We were surprised. Location: Mostly an advantage, it's in a neighborhood that feels pretty safe. While there are no restaurants or bars on that street, there are plenty within walking distance or short cab ride. I'm wouldn't stay here with a family as casinos and prostitutes are nearby. Service: Everyone was polite and helpful. Most of the staff does not speak English. […] Breakfast was a bit sparse, especially if we came after 9am, but eggs were made to order. We accidently left our safe open with jewelry and $100 inside and nothing was touched. Room: Roomy and clean but a couple things are rough around the edges. Bathroom seemed clean. Small stain on the bed sheet and the iron was broken (but a least there was a iron!). Air conditioner worked very well and it had a hair dryer. Free Wifi was available although weak. The hotel comparing with money paid is great. Good room in good condition and new. a refrigerator is included. stuff is great especially Ruben in the reception. Real high free wireless internet. The hotel is one block from a large casino. Many of the patrons came back to their rooms between two & four am, loud and drunk. We were on the second floor and found thru another vacationer that the third floor was worse. The rooms were not well sound proofed and various drywall, airvent, and shelving work was incomplete.

The hotel I was told has been in operation 7 months, so most everything is new. They had free Wi-Fi and 3 computers for guests to use. They didn't have a restaurant on site but many are within walking distance. For those that like gambling there is a casino close by.

Service was a bit sloppy, but taxi driver they use, was very friendly and trusty. Last night our toilet flushed over and we got a new room so it ended very well. Just their toilets are not all working so well ... Breakfast was nothing special but ok. Location is good. Taxi drivers don't know hotel, but they know Casino Veneto next to it.

WE stayed at the Metro when we flew into and out of Panama City in January 2012 It was located in a safe neighborhood and easy walking (be careful of the uneven and broken sidewalks, however) distance to many good restaurants and there's a big casino (the Veneto) just up the block. Also a 24 hour restaurant (I think it's called the Mondolo) nearby that […] serves good food at reasonable prices. Rooms also have small fridges for keeping drinks and snacks cold. Location is great, staff are great. Only negative is the noise. It appears as if there is no sound insulation and you can hear every door open and close, every telephone ring etc. So ear plugs would be helpful.

Only marred a little by the receptipn staffs inability to speak or understand English Soave it difficult to book yours etc! Had to go elsewhere for that!
