Chalet Enzian - Bad Gastein

My wife, parents, and kids stayed at Rader overnight and had a great experience. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. Bockstein is a very scenic little town and a nice place for a walk. The hostess/operator of the hotel speaks English (which is fortunate because we don't speak much German) and helped us find a place nearby for a hike. Breakfast was simple but nice - coffee, rolls, yogurt, cheese, and other typical continental breakfast items. There is a restaurant about 100 m away where we enjoyed a good dinner. Although our road map seems to show that Bockstien is at the end of the road, the hotel hostess explained that cars can be put on a train that goes south and connects with the road on the other side of hte mountains.

After getting used to some bad experiences, we were very happy with Ski Vital. It was a little out of the way for us, but worth it. It is in a beautiful area. I think that every room has a great view. You could not ask for a better staff. They were some of the nicest and personable people that we have met on our long trip. They went above and beyond what we have gotten from any other place that we have stayed. We will be back.

This is a quality hotel with good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, located centrally with in easy walking distance of the downtown district. It was an enjoyable experience for us from start to finish.

In a great location and very accomidating! Room was small but fit our needs perfectly and very reasonable. Would definitely stay there again

Rooms were clean. Nice deck with view of Alps. Did not try dinner at hotel. Breakfast buffet okay. Was not able to get Internet service in the hotel room. Had to go to dining area or lobby to get service.
