Citrus Heights Patong - Kathu

The hotel is newish, minimalist in some ways, cheap in others, but with perks. The rooms are clean and nicely equipped; I was pleasantly surprised to find a larger frig with separate freezer and even more surprised to have a clothes washer in the room (actually a combo that also dried!). But all was not golden: breakfast seemed to be leftovers from […] the previous night's dinner buffet, with the addition of an eggs-your-way station. It's far enough from the beach that they provide a free shuttle, and it is out of the way from the touristy areas. However, the main road to those areas runs along a canal with raw water that literally was black (and aromatic, to be kind). I will give this praise to the staff: I cut my leg on the corner of the bed, but didn't notice it bleeding until I got on the white sheets. I called the front desk to explain the sheets were soiled and they promised to send someone right away. Very shortly someone was there, but when she saw my bleeding leg she literally dropped her linens and ran from the room only to reappear shortly with a large, well stocked first aid kit. Great but could be brilliant. It's new and clean but looks like they rushed at the end to get it open. Breakfast very good selection. Only one lift serving 8 floors and approx 90 rooms which made it a bit slow at times (as I was on holidays and in no rush this was ok!). Would not hesitate to recommend.

The hotel is 7 mths old, so it's pretty new and clean. The only thing is when u kindly request them for a late check-out, it's chargeable. They r very quick to tell you the extra charges. So there is nothing like a late check-out even if u explain your predicament of having a night flight home. It's charged by per hour after 12pm check-out time. U also […] need to pre-book and confirm the late check-out hours, as they would charge u straight away on their system. But once u confirmed the number of hrs u think u need, there is no way u could reverse it later, even a day before your actual check-out day. It's pathetic. The cafe staff is very stoned faced, no manners, and very crude. When the tour bus pple came and ate up all the food, and if u come in after them, the staff don't replenish the food, just said 'no more', although the breakfast is supposed to end at 10.30am! All they r interested is to collect your breakfast ticket when u enter the cafe. Felt very sick after 9 days there...sick with the cafe staff's bad attitude. It just spoils everything! Read more

Hotel is new. That is why the rooms are so clean. Would not stay here again due to the distance to the main patong area. Had a whole day with no electricity. The hotel is in a construction area. The hotel is extremely new when we checked in. Some parts of the construction is still incomplete. Glass auto door to the main doesn't function properly, the washing machine in out room started to spew water out during a washing cycle. Visibly the hotel is not 100% ready for guest yet. Plants are missing in the lobby & pool deck giving you a very 'cold' […] feel. You can also smell the newness of the hotel, it has a very fresh 'construction odour' in some areas. The service is staff is also as new as the hotel. Lingusitically, they do not converse well in English, and lack knowledge about surrounding ammenities. However, they make up by they bright smiles and enthusiasm. Recently myself, my wife and our baby daughter stayed 4 nights at the new Citin Hotel. The Citrus Hotel was not yet complete so we stayed at the sister Hotel near by. This hotel had only been open 8 weeks. The hotel is located in a quiet area off the main street. The Hotel is modern and extremely clean and comfortable. Our Room was located in the building […] next to the main building. We had requested a mountain view room but when we checked in we did not have this. It was soon resolved. There was no information in the room about meals TV and Phone etc which was strange. Apparently they were still being printed. The Breakfast improved each day. The staff were new and some times not sure what to do. The food at their Restaurant was excellent. We had several meals there. The entire team at the Hotel including the security guards and tour adviser are an asset to the Hotel. They were very friendly and helpful. We have a 11 month baby and everyone went out of their way to ensure that were were well looked after with baby chairs etc. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again. This hotel does not exist yet. We booked this and received the booking confirmation. On arrival we drove around for an hour in a taxi, the poor taxi driver kept telling us that we were at the address for the hotel, which was a building site. Eventually we called the hotel telephone number only to discover this hotel has not been built (nowhere near […] complete). We ended up having to stay in their sister hotel in a room that was nothing like what we had booked. It was a horrific start to our holiday. 酒店還算可以，設備都ok，但位置距離附近大商場遠了一點。酒店附設有shuttle bus, 但經常遲到至少30分鐘，投訴後又沒有改善，只說是交通塞車... 但車子是從酒店先開出的，再開去沙灘/商場。為何會說是在外面塞車呢？ 此是酒店的一大弊處。

Hôtel très bien situé, à 15 minutes à pieds de la plage et du centre commercial. Les chambres ne sont pas très bien insonorisées. Le personnel est discret et souriant, ils parlent correctement l'anglais.

The hotel is comfortable and new. It is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest shopping mall Jungceylon but the bad thing is that there's no proper road for pedestrian which made walking difficult especially on rainy days. There are construction sites along the road which is not easy for walking. I was trying to find tuktuk but it costs 200baht for […] just 2-minute drive, which is not cheap in turn. The room is quite spacious, but room lighting is not enough. There is a handheld shower and an overhead one but without a door - which will make the whole bathroom wet after shower. The room I booked is facing the nearby building (although I'm already staying on 7/F). Breakfast is provided but don't have wide variety - it's acceptable given the hotel rate is so low. Overall I think the hotel is okay due to the unbeatable price. I'd recommend to those who are looking for hotel with basic facilities. Read more
