Don't believe that this is 3 star. The rooms reminded me of an unrated lodging house. While the place is quaint with artist's work covering all the walls, it is overpowering. We tried the restaurant/cafeteria but the food was basic and poor value. All food seemed to be mixed up from catering packets. Don't go there unless you want something cheap. Nearly every inch of the public areas of this hotel is covered with art, and this is its main selling point. Frankly the art was not really to my taste, but still it is fascinating. I would recommend the hotel to friends for them to see the awesome Kublai Khan's art works but I wouldn't be advising them to stay for the night. The art works are dusty, the bathroom curtain where we stayed needed laundry. The bath soaps were not even replaced. The bathroom also smelled like a cigarette smoke when we got in.
