Rooms were very comfortable but relatively expensive compared with other places in romania of similar standard. Not that easy to find if you arrive at night so worthwhile asking for directions.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hanul Domnesc. The hotels seems to be brand new and it has lots of nice dark woodwork throught out. If you are a tall person you might want to watch your head as some of the doorways and angled walls are kind of short. is not in a great location but taxis are very unexpensive and can drive you to the center for about 10 lei (<3 us dlls). The food was great and I mean GREAT. I am not a big fan of romanian food, but this one had a special touch and was very well prepared and garnished.

the hotel can have no structural changes, as it has national preservation trust status as one of the citys first pharmacies. it exudes an old world charm. such means, however, that there is no elevator, and if you have a room on the third floor (with a great view), you need to climb 59 stairs. in addition, the hotel is located up a very steep hill. it would be ideal for people arriving by car, but for the train traveller, its location can be inconvenient. from the train station, take bus number 4 to the sixth stop. upon departure, turn right, walk about 150 meters, and then look for a fork turning up,. other than the climb, though, the hotel is top rate.

The hotel was not as close to the castle as I had hoped. I wanted to be able to see the castle from my hotel balcony. Otherwise this was the nicest hotel I said in during my 3 weeks vacation. The staff was friendly though they did not speak any english. Everything was clean nothing was broken and it was nicely furnished. Would definately stay there again.

Long Street Hotel is a nice little hotel, but don't choose it if you want to be in a central location. It's quite a long walk from town and a bit of a nightmare to drive to. Staff are nice, rooms are clean and mini bar prices quite reasonable. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast.

The room smelled like it had been smoked in many times and the bathroom was not cleaned well--the drain in the shower was clogged and would often near overflow.
