Quorn Lodge Hotel - Melton Mowbray

The hotel is a little tiered, peeling paint, and ripped wall paper under window sills. Very 80's but very clean, and the staff are a delight. most helpful and friendly. we stayed here 16 years ago and the décor hasn't changed but they have added in a gym. We arrived after 9pm, having previously advised the hotel that this would be so. The checking in was a little in disarray - a leak had just been discovered in the bedroom to be allocated to us. I really did not need to know this, just giving us another room without fuss would have done the trick. The room we then had was very comfortable, the bathroom […] generously sized and the beds were comfy too, everything was very clean, especially the bathroom and bath area, which is often the weakest point of a hotel.. The shower did need some attention - it only knew hot and cold, nothing in between. Thanks for the explanation why this was so, I would have preferred that that had been fixed too before we arrived! It was an experience...everyone was very friendly, however, and very apologetic. Read more
