"Secluded and quiet get away"
Our stay was incredible. From the moment we arrived it was a place we will go back to over and over again. It offers the quietness of a peaceful vacation and the access to get were you need to go. The villa we stayed at was very nice with a wonderful master with a yacuzzi tub and upstairs away from the other guest bedrooms. If your going with a large […] group they have a 3 bedroom with 3 bathrooms. The view from the villa was breathtaking. The free breakfast was always delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. The Manager and his staff do everything they can to be of assistance to you always. The Puka beach is only 5 min by car or trike and it is secluded and beautiful . I can keep on going about how happy we were To stay here, I am an airline employee and have stayed in Many places over the last 30 years and I will say if your looking for a place to stay in Boracay this should be on your top picks. "Very nice and comfortable boutique hotel."
From the moment we waked up the steps we were greeted by the hotel manager June. The warm hospitality extended us made us feel like we're part of their family. The view from the balcony at sunset is spectacular, also we witnessed a flock of fruit bats migrating across the skies to get their fruits then fly back. We had the garden room on second floor […] which has its own verandar. Breakfast is free and also taxi rides into town. We also went island hopping and snorkeling. The whole experience was wonderful. I certainly would recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent 4 families, groups, couples or singles."
Really an excellent experience. I needed to combine business within the holiday component and it was wonderful to do that here. The owners, management and staff were all so helpful beyond the normal requirements and just made everything so easy. Internet wireless was an issue with the sat provider, but I was very quickly taken care of with a usb stick […] so my work was not slowed down. A little bit away from the main beach and restaurant area, which I really liked, giving peace and quiet, and they included transport down whenever required. Return was always with a tricycle which I paid but very easy and not expensive. I need to travel a lot and being here was a real pleasure from all requirements. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Relaxation out of town"
The hotel is situated quite a way from town and white beach and has a nice relaxed vibe. They run a shuttle to town (10 mins) on demand and you can get a tuktuk back for about 150 pesos. Staff are incredibly friendly and will do anything for you, they even helped me do the ice bucket challenge (and took a worrying about of joy from it). There are pools […] on site but the slight downside it that it's not beachfront so even though you can see the beach it's really a shuttle ride to get to one, it is pretty close to puka shell beach though which is really beautiful and quiet and a different experience to white beach. Definitely recommend for anyone not so interested in bar hopping in town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel but Home"
The first feeling before check in was not good because of very narrow road condition and air pollution on the way to hotel. But warm welcome, calm and beautiful veiw, very kind staff and clean room made me comfortable and happy. I believe that all guests who plan to stay at Argonuta will be happy like me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Heavenly. Beautiful rooms, great hospitality."
First of all, I loved the hotel staff. They were accommodating with whatever happened and the smart staff with great hospitality made my trip even more wonderful. Of course, the room was great, too. Coming from Japan, I tend to be a bit picky about cleanness but it was very clean and comfortable. Only thing I would point out is that the bathtub was […] not completely clean- but I guess this is not a big problem for shower users. As the hotel is a little distanced from the center of the island (distanced here means that it is 5-7 minutes away by tricycle), I got to enjoy the touristic part of the island as well as the quiet, tender time around the hotel which is surrounded by great nature. I stayed with my family (wife, son and mother in law) and experienced excellent customer services with kind hospitality. They do not have their own private beach but provide us free transportation to Puka Beach and White Sands Beach. Their staffs kindly assisted us to find a good private taxi to go back to Kalibo Airport so that we can go back to the […] airport without worrying. The expense for transportation was - Hotel to jetty port: Php 300.00 per vehicle - Boat: Php 120 per person - Jetty port to Kalibo Airport (private van): Php 1,500 per vehicle.
Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best family-style hotel ever at Boracay!!"
09/05/14 Guo S
All things are good in argonauta hotel!! From owner Jun, to Lin, Anna, and "Body guard" RJ, and Ramady(If any wrong in spell please frogive me :)). They are all willing to help and trying to make our stay a fantastic one. They made it a what I call family-style hotel, everything they have in their hotel is just like you have in your home and each member will treat you as one of their family, smiling, helping and full filling your needs. Also we have to mention the food and beverage service, they offered us a great seafood dinner only at the price of cost, name anything you want for dinner and they will purchase from local market talibaba at the price of locally cost. Everytime they buy is much more than we expected and better price.:D Other service as lend us beach towels when we are going to go swimming, drive us to the beach, offering a drink when we are on their famous roof having a rest, show the gym to us, make us a fantasy dinner, and arrange all the activities you can find on the island at the best price - We asked so many local guide and finally found the best price they can get for us is the same as the hotel offered at the first time we asked, so it can save our tourist a lot of time to do the marketing :) There are millions of surprise and happiness they bring to us. Argonauta hotel if we have another chance we will stay again in this hotel, highly recommended!!!!!
"Stay here for the hospitality and get-away-from-the-tourist-madness views of the ocean"
07/22/14 Frogmirth En route
I’m a fan of quirky hotels offering something unique in style and locality. The Argonauta fits the bill nicely on both counts. Expect Mediterranean-style apartments as the name ‘Argonauta’ suggests, set into a lush, jungly hillside facing the ocean. The road to the hotel is off the main road. You turn down the hill and pass through the local village. Expect warm hospitality from the owners and staff who will help you plan your daily itineraries and assist you getting there and back with the minimum of hassle. Don’t expect resort-style amenities or service at the Argonauta. And don’t expect elegant fine dining restaurants or Manhattan-style bars either. You might prefer to try the Shangri-La or any of the bigger five-star resorts nearby for that sort of thing. The Argonauta is a mid-range hotel offering personalised hospitality. You won’t have easy walking access to the main beach and the activities typically associated with Boracay (banana boat rides, kiteboarding etc.) although the hotel is more than happy to arrange those activities for you and drop you off at the main beach. From the hotel to the centre of the main beach area took about 10-15 minutes on average and trishaws were about PHP 150 to return one-way Be prepared to climb steep stairs at the Argonauta and quite a lot of them. Note that there is also some construction going on on the beachfront below (see my photos from July 2014). I expect it will take a few years before the view has “naturalised” again with the new resort being built below. I would recommend the Argonauta for couples or families with older kids looking for a mid-range, peaceful stay away from the madness of the main beach. Minimum stay of 2-3 nights. Ideal way to enjoy the hotel: go to the seafood market in town, buy your fish, cook it in the apartment and eat in on a roof terrace with a bottle of wine. I would not recommend the Argonauta for people with limited mobility or people who require wheelchair access. Contact the hotel in advance of arrival. They can arrange transfer from nearby airports to the hotel, including the ferry and taxi from the ferry terminal. You will be put on a shuttle bus from the ferry terminals to the hotel. If you want something more comfortable than that, you could contact a travel agent for a private car and driver.
"Home away from Home"
07/07/14 Vignesh S Bangalore, India
Argonauta is situated away from the busy central white sand beach area of the boracay island and in the secluded part of the island. A very nice location with a beautiful view of turquoise blue waters of boracay. The best part about Argonauta is its staff, very friendly and sweet. Jun, the manager is awesome and makes sure your stay is wonderful. It was my honey moon and he made sure it was special. Rooms are spacious and has a good view of the beach. overall a great experience.
"A wonderful experience in Argonauta"
06/07/14 325Grace Beijing, China
Since I left Boracay about 5 months, but all the memories about it make our family feel unforgettable. The White Beach is so wonderful, the special goods, the ebullient local people, the beautiful sea and fabulous sunset made us felt so exciting. The Argonauta family gave us the warm feeling at this fairyland. When we arrived here, Jun greeted us, arranged considerate services for us, we felt just like back to home immediately. The room is clean; we could see the beautiful sea from window. That was a cozy feeling I had ever experienced. Every morning we woke up with the sounds of wave, the fresh air, the gorgeous sunshine, that was very nice. Every day, the breakfast would give us surprise, it was fresh, delicious. Argonauta family gave us the sweet smile and kindly salutation. We spent the Chinese New Year’s Eve at here, Jun prepared a specious present for my younger sister and me, they climbed the coconut tree, and picked up two coconuts for us, when we finished super backed to villa, two young males took coconuts and waited for us, that carved our name on the two coconuts, that was unique and unforgettable for us, we shared theses special coconuts at the New Year’s Eve, all of my family members said, that were the most sweet and fresh coconut we had ever drank. Until now, every time I remembered these things about the Argonauta family for us, I also feel feelingly. I want to say thanks to the Argonauta family, all of you gave us the most wonderful memory at Boracay, this travel not only made us appreciated a beautiful scenery, but also let me make so many kind friends, best wishes for the Argonauta, I am looking forward we could meeting at next time.
"lovely overall experience"
If you want to be amongst all the action in White Beach this is probably not the right hotel for you. We chose Argonauta because we didn't want to be somewhere crowded and possibly noisy (centre of White Beach is both these things) We also didn't want the big resort experience. We booked a one bed apartment which we were glad of as we had lots of space, a fantastic view and access to a wonderful roof terrace. The hotel provides a shuttle service into town and most other places and beaches on the Island on demand rather than to a timetable which meant you could be very flexible in planning your day. It was never a problem getting a tuk tuk back to the hotel. The young staff team at the hotel are professional, well trained and very eager to please. Always smiling. Breakfasts were great, we always had ours on the terrace which has amazing views especially at sunset. The evening before we left we asked that staff cook us a fish dinner and it was a truly memorable experience. We started with giant prawns, done on the grill as was the whole fish dish which followed. Presentation was wonderful, food amazing and the service just lovely with the staff all ensuring everything was as it should be. All at an amazingly reasonable cost. One of the big advantages to staying here is that the owners are on site and have a wealth of local experience between them which they happily share with guests. Therefore you get to know the best beaches, restaurants, spa's, in fact anything you need to know. We enjoyed it very much and hope to visit again sometime. The only other proviso I have is if you have any mobility issues there are a number steep steps to negotiate, the pay off being the wonderful views
"Quiet, relaxing, great sunset view"
05/07/14 NicleoPin Singapore, Singapore
We arrived on 2nd May. Jun greeted us at the door by name which was a pleasant surprise, it was very different from the usual hotels we were used to. The place is off the road so there is no noisy partying, no street commissioners trying to sell you sunglasses or boat trips. They have a few roof terraces so there is great all round views of the sunset. The rooms were big, clean and felt like home. Jun and his team were great! From the food recommendations eg: crispy pata, where to visit, which drinks to try. His personal touch, coming to greet each and every guest by name during breakfast or anytime he happens to catch you, simply lets you feel your every need is taken care of. Jun and team also go the extra mile to help with where to visit and Jun, a big big thank you to your guest relation officer who accompanied us through the island hop, snorkelling, helmet dive and finally to D'tilapapa mall for some fresh seafood shopping. she was a great help as we could speak the local language. Overall it was a wonderful experience and when we come back next year, you know where I'm staying. Cheers to Jun and team. Nicholas and Chloe.
"Out of the action, excellent staff, just don't eat the food here"
05/07/14 Rebecca C Melbourne, Australia
From the moment you arrive you are greeted like a friend, the staff here really make an effort to make your stay great, especially Jun...he's a legend! It's an intimate and personable hotel. As a younger couple we felt we were a little “out of the action” and it was too quiet for us. Also being so far out, if you're tired in the evenings for dinner there is no other option but to eat at the hotel. And the food at the hotel is what really lets it down...we got traveller’s diarrhoea and vomiting from it...nightmare! It was definitely from food eaten here because we ate at the hotel on the night of arrival and next morning for breakfast. Both my partner and I were very sick afterwards which ruined the next 4-6 days. We were so disappointed because we were super careful where we ate on our trip. To their credit, the staff did look after us which we appreciated. If you can, don't stay in the Garden room. The bathroom is on top of the kitchen and the BBQ smoke billows into the room. The bed creaks so loudly every time you move and the aircon is really old and loudly hums all night like an engine of a small plane. There's also no controls for it so you have to get up every time you want to change temperature (which is either freezing or just air). Since I was so sick I couldn't leave the room for a few days it became my arch-nemesis! I hate giving less than great reviews to hotels, and maybe I'm biased because we got quite sick here, but i wouldn't recommend Argonauta to my friends. We later moved to Discovery Shores and were much happier with that experience, comfort level, location and the food :-)
"Its not a Hotel....its a home for traveller!"
04/28/14 Phil7474 Penang Island, Malaysia
This place is simply amazing. Felt home from the first minute. The staff is just putting so much effort into the treat of the guest. Appartments are clean, nice view, nice home cooked food. The staff from cleaner to manager are just super friendly. I was surprised about the ability to read the guests mind....Well done.
"One of my top hotel experiences (and I'm a snobby traveler!)"
04/19/14 Kristal H New York City, New York
I typically stay at chain 5-star resorts because I know that my experience will be good. In this case I was VERY LUCKY to have stumbled across Argonauta (and then quickly cancelled my reservation at Shangri-La!) I wanted a place that was upscale and clean, private, quiet, beautiful and where I felt taken care of. Argonauta exceeded my expectations on all fronts. - Amazing ocean views from everywhere in the property, including the garden or on the pretty roof decks. - Very large, very clean beautiful rooms (again, with views!) - Private family owned, so you get personalized attention and service from the owner, manager and friendly staff. They know your name and preferences and can anticipated needs and attended to immediately. - Only 8 rooms, so very quiet. You come to an island to relax, and here you are tucked away from the crowds. - They have a vehicle to transport you to beaches, spa & yoga treatments so everything is just a minute away. - I'm traveling alone, but this place would be great for family or group vacations since they have multiple units that vary in size. Also good for couples since there are many little seating areas where you can privately enjoy the beach view & sunset. - Thank you Stefanie, Jun and team for making me feel so taken care of and giving me such an a beautiful relaxing vacation.
