Hotel Moonlight - Thiruvananthapuram (and vicinity)

I booked this hotel for 7 nights for myself and friends previous to travelling to Kovalam and was horrified with what awaited us on arrival. The hotel had no record of our booking and it was obvious that they did not have rooms for us. After much discussion the gave us 2 rooms which were filty had no electrical power and the showers did not work. Our […] complaints were ignored by the staff and we were forced to leave the following morning and find alternate accommodation. This hotel is a disgrace to Hotels.com and I have stated this in feedback to them. Thankfully Hotels.com did help with our alternate accommodation when I contacted them. The staff were very helpful and friendly, though no way could this be classed as a 3 star hotel- let alone resort! The furnishings were non-fitting- original-rusty-and broken furnishings and a scattering of water bottles and cig packets always around, with no extra care or money spent to make the place alot better than it could be. Booked this hotel via Hotels.com. On arrival, the staff were not expecting us and took several hours to find us out two pre-paid rooms. Eventually two rooms became available. Both rooms were basic, with a rusting fridge. Half the lights didn't work, the aircon unit was deafening, the towels looked like they hadn't been cleaned from the previous residents. […] The bathroom was crawling with tiny ants or mites. We reluctantly stayed the three pre-paid nights, during our stay there was no attempt by staff to clean the room. They reluctantly provided 2 cleanish towels for 4 of us to share. The pool was infested with insect life and with rubbish and glass bottles on the bottom. This has got to be probably the worst place that I have ever stayed and certaily wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Read more

before checkin the hotel advised us that they donot have ac rooms that we have booked before 4 month insite of full payment and we have to wait a long and also have to take a normal room for one night.

The Hotel Restaurant & pool area needed a lot of attention, the pool deck chairs were in need of repair & the adjoining restaurant was rather unclean however the food was ok. The staff were helpful also the Ayurvedic treatments next door at Dr Nishi were top class & the yoga classes with JoyPaul were amazing

I booked this hotel through expedia as I was visiting Kovalam woth family for the first time. I'll put it this way The GOOD points are the spacious room for 4 adults,health faucets in toilets,hotel is neat ,it is near the beach,it's a quiet place with no bar and brawls, there's a library with novels and magazines,staff are polite, until they notice […] any wastage, room rates are reasonable when OFF season, a sit-out area is attached to the room WITH rocking chair and swinging chair which are very relaxing the BAD points are the very expensive food which is not worth the money, they don't even offer water for free in a jug, you have to buy mineral water and keep, to drink in your room,hotel staff are limited so it will take time to get your order done, phone was not working,you may not get parking easily if the hotel is full,hotel staff are overtly concerned about any wastage TIPS if you are going to this hotel - Select the rooms on the 2nd floor only as those on the first are old fashioned with noisy AC and small TV, avoid eating from the restaurant there are good hotels all around the beach, carry your own water if you dont want to buy mineral water, order food by 8:30 if you are eating from their restaurant Read more

Yes, The owner of the hotel is nice , The room was fantastic only problem is that the food service starts from 8.00 A.M and close at 10.00 P.M. other things we can view SEA from the hotel, and swimming pool is also nice.

Very clean Hotel and very helpful staff. Their could be more choices on complimentry breakfast menu...... Omlett, and pinapple jam every morning gets a bit boring,Swimming pool water was clear, but the tiling could do with a scrub, as I could remove algi with my fingernails quite easily from the grouting.

Jag och min familj checkade in i mellandagarna.När vi kom in i rummet var det så skitigt överallt!Vi behövde ha en extra madrass och när den kom så fick vi en råttäten skumgummimadrass som dom bäddade med ett skitigt lakan.När vi tog bort överkastet på våran säng så var det fullt med hår och fläckar på lakanet.

Удобно, что любой таксист или рикша привезёт Вас прямо к отелю. Т.е. он не на задворках, куда только пешком по узким пешеходным улочкам, коих полно. Но это же и обеспечило шум транспорта ночью и утром. Самое хорошее - низкая цена, до океана 100 метров, центр города в двух шагах, есть бассейн (на удивление чистый). Питание в отельном ресторане - не лучший […] выбор. Рядом полно более лучших по цене-качеству ресторанчиков. Кстати, интернет есть на ресепшен, а в номере мне не удалось подключиться. Read more

zeer proper en vriendelijk hotel, indien wifi op de kamer dan is alles aanwezig,hotel op 75 meter van het strand, het strand uniek dichtbij en huren zetel en paraplu goedkoop.Wij komen zeker terug naar moonlight hotel. Personeel is chapeau zeer vriendelijk.
