I found the Fortune JP to be a very clean, comfortable, modern, upscale hotel, but the friends traveling with me had a bad experience. I booked on the club floor, while they were in slightly lower-priced "deluxe" rooms. I strongly recommend paying a bit more for the club floor. I'm super picky and my room, including the bathroom, was immaculately clean. My only complaints: the buffet breakfast doesn't have many choices (no fresh juice, for example). Also, this hotel has a weird, chintzy internet policy. They advertise free wifi, but don't mention that only 2 hours of service is free. If you want more, you pay extra. And sometimes the wifi doesn't work at all. If wifi is really important, the Fortune JP may not be the best choice.

Just spent 1 day/night at this place. It is clean inside the rooms/bathrooms. Location is close to town ....as there isn't much of stuff to do in Mysore anyway. Cons: Located in a dingy street, with very very noisy neighbors. We stayed at Lobby level, Heard loud noise all night from the hotel desk and lobby. I arrived with bag and baggage for a wonderful stay but was very disappointed. I had booked on line thru Hotels.com seeing the beautiful front view of the hotel and the room with a double bed and a single bed and balcony as I had my husband and 17y old child with me. What I got upon arriving thru an alley poor road condition -full of potholes was a […] room with double bed and no balcony they were willing to place a mattress on the floor. When I explained to them they were false advertising they agreed to put me in another hotel - a cheap sister hotel but with the extra bed no balcony. I accepted that as it was my last day in Mysore. Tthe staff and the management were very helpful and polite.The manager Mr,Sagar really helped us for our comfort and sight seeing.At such a price and being in the heart of the city it is an affordable hotel and I hope they start inhouse food service,a very good experience.

It is a good hotel in terms of overall cleanliness. But no restaurant attached with the hotel & the place is inside a narrow lane and not on main road. Thus, if you are having a vehicle, it might be little inconvenient. Overall, if you just wish to stay, it is a good hotel for everyone including families.
