"Escape from the city"
Excellent property and service was even better. Mac was a great butler, and the hotel provided us with a meeting room for our client meetings. Also tried the kickboxing class, which was an excellent workout!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A truly amazing experience"
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt like royalty in the beautiful surroundings and decor, not to mention the staff and facilities. This is truly a memorable hotel. I will be back as soon as I can.Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
"그닥 좋지못한 위치에도 불구하고"
정원같은 느낌의 호텔에 만족스러웠네요- 아름다운 정원과 로비, 부대시설에 비해 객실 컨디션은 별로? 기대 이상은 아니었지만 나머지 공간들이 아름다워서 충분히 좋았습니다. 굳이 풀빌라를 부킹할 필요는 없을 것 같네요.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A perfect place"
08/23/14 Tracey L Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
My family and I spent three nights at The Siam. We were completely blown away with the incredible service, the beautiful garden and the exquisite decor. We had our own butler - Gup who did our itinerary everyday for us. Gup with his quite manner and attention to detail was for my two younger boy a complete delight and we found his recommendations for restaurants and sights outstanding. Never did the staff ever try and push expensive locations onto us, always looking for the best deal for us and advising us on any untoward things that we should watch out for like- Pick Pockets at the reclining Buddah. It really felt like they truly had our best interests at heart and were so keen for us to enjoy their fascinating city. The restaurant morning service was incredible. My younger son ordered a milkshake. It came and someone must have picked up that he didn't like the yoghurt or lasso in it, but without any remark to any of the staff a new milkshake arrived with only ice cream and milk. While the distance for the city may pose as a problem to some we loved it. We loved the water limo that collected us at allocated times and we could retire to the sanitary of The Siam. If I can make one recommendation to anyone.... GO There . It was and is awesome.

Stayed in this property for 3 nights, hard to find by taxi should be arranged by the hotel. i should have given this a five star only disappointment was the swim pool actually its just a Lap pool. staff , room and location was perfect for relaxation. food was excellent , sleep quality A+, room is very large well appointed, feels like your own home just a few people around.. very nice. Spa was expensive but very good...
"The Ultimate Urban Luxury Getaway in Bangkok!!"

My husband and I stayed at the Siam Hotel for 5 nights in May. Everything about this hotel is special with a personal touch which sets it apart from other properties. The property is exceptionally beautiful, well kept and decorated with beautiful vintage photographs, art works, statues, pottery and paintings, like a private museum. From the moment you step into this heavenly property, you are treated so special which truly makes you forget you are in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Exquisite gardens and pool facing the river, you can watch the sunset and enjoy the view. The Colonial rooms are so spacious, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff are all amazingly kind, super helpful and treat you with kindness and high standards all the time. Each room comes with a butler and our butler was extremely kind, helpful and truly made our stay very very special. The room service is just wonderful, the breakfasts and dinners were just fresh and delicious. We were in Bangkok for a wedding and regardless of where you are staying in Bangkok, you will be in traffic for hours and there is just no way around that, so the location made no difference for us as we had to take a taxi or a private car wherever we went. Be prepared for traffic in Bangkok!! Sometimes a ten minute route can take up to 45 minutes in traffic. The spa is amazing, I had a mini treatment and a manicure, probably one of the best spa experiences of my life. I highly recommend this hotel, don't even bother looking at other ones. Beauty, elegance, service, service, service!!
"Chill out by the Chao Praya"
07/30/14 mercantedivenezia Bangkok, Thailand
Beautifully decorated hotel in colonial style a short way up the river, set in the leafy and extremely posh Dusit area of Bangkok. Very easy to get to by taxi or call them and have them arrange a boat pick up. The place is very relaxing and has a great pier on which you can enjoy a cocktail, watching the sunset, with some tasty snacks. Excellent pool with a very 20s Deco vibe. Food is good, and they do stress the quality of the ingredients ( all organic, home grown, grass fed and so on). Spectacular private collection of Chinese pottery, from Ming to Tang, which belongs to the owner. Exquisitely tended gardens and the peaceful atmosphere make for a great place to have a quiet Sunday Brunch. Staff very helpful. Rooms look amazing, but I did not try them out as I just came to chill by the Praya.
"The Ultimate Getaway"
Stayed at the Siam in Bangkok for 4 days with 2 other couples. We enjoyed the hotel for the following reasons: 1. Colonial theme with very clean and sleek lines, black and white motif with lots of antiques displayed in different areas. Lush and well manicured gardens. Beautiful interiors inside and outside of the hotel. Relatively new. 2. Serene and quiet atmosphere. Not too many guests making it very exclusive. 3. We had a personal butler who attended to most of our needs. Mac was very accommodating and helpful. 4. Suites are spacious and had a very nice lay out. Loved the high ceiling and the lighting fixtures and all the small details inside the room. It had an ante room that was likewise spacious. It would be better though if they add more lights because we found the rooms to be a bit dark. The ceiling fan did not do much because ceiling was just too high. Airconditioning was just right. 5. Bathrooms were huge with a water closet, shower enclosure and a beautiful tub. Toiletries were provided except for a tooth brush and tooth paste. The aircon in the bathroom was too strong and a bit noisy but could be adjusted. 6. Bed and pillows were the best. Sheets probably had a thread count of 600. 7. Staff were all so helpful, polite and pleasant. 8. We each had a 20 free spa treatment at the Opium Spa. They claim they are the only spa in bangkok that uses chemical free oils. We tried their swedish and muay thai massages and they were both so relaxing and rejuvenating. Rates are comparable to other branded hotels. 9. We booked thru Agoda and got the package with breakfast. We liked the idea of the breakfast not being buffet style. It was instead ala carte but we could order as much as we wanted. There were a lot of asian and western dishes to choose from. The ones we ordered were all yummy. 10. High tea at Cafe cha was an experience and we got to try their elephant dung coffee as well. A glass of Champagne we ordered was very expensive. 11. We ate lunch at their thai restaurant and food was delicious. Prices a bit high for certain dishes. 12. We rode their very sleek boat that shuttled us from the hotel to River City for free. 13. Wifi was available and free all over the hotel. 14. Rates are not that cheap but comparable to other branded hotels of the same league. 15. Location is not too central. We had a difficult time getting a taxi whenever we would go to the city because of the distance. 16. Hotel limo service is quite expensive but they were kind enough to suggest that we take a taxi instead to the airport. 17. Very safe in any area of the hotel. 18. Beautiful lap pool and fitness center.
"Lives up to its name- Urban Luxury Resort"
I picked the Siam after searching through a bunch of hotels. I go to Bangkok at least once a year and did not want to repeat my stays at the big name luxury chains. After perusing a bunch of reviews, I picked this hotel because of the large suites and raves about the amazing food. It definitely lived up to my expectations. What really sets The Siam apart from other hotels is its personal touch. Unlike the Siam Kempinski, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula etc., the Siam is not tainted by commerciality. Every single one of its guests are treated like VIPS no matter which suite they book and the staff around the hotel know you by your name. They even carried my shopping to my suite for me when they saw me get off the cab. SUITE The suite is spacious and has a cosy little living room for those that want to stay awake while others are asleep. The hotel has a good range of free movies that you can play and Cds that can blast music in the bathroom. Nothing is more relaxing than taking a bubble bath with good music. And yes.. the hotel provides bubble bath! The only downside is the maintenance of the suites. Don't get me wrong, the suites are currently still in great condition. However, I noticed scratches on the wooden floor by the door, mainly due to the door's design. It tends to drag along the floor sometimes, hence leading to blemishes on the floor. Considering that the hotel has been opened for a mere two years, I do hope that the hotel keeps up with maintaining their lovely suites. BUTLER SERVICE The staff at this hotel definitely sets it apart from everything else in Bangkok. The Butler was very attentive, friendly and a pleasure to be with. I requested for ear plugs because my dad gets up early in the morning and he provided them later that night with a nice little note. The hotel also helped me packed glass bottles of aroma diffuser with bubble wrap. It is unlikely that other hotels would do this for me... FOOD Food was amazing and hands down, the best I have had ever! It lived up to the expectations I had after reading other reviews on trip advisor about the food. I hence confirm that the rave reviews about the food are real on this site. The ingredients of the food at the hotel restaurant really sets it apart from some best restaurants in Hong Kong like Chesa, Gaddis, Grissini, Rubochon and all that jazz. You WILL be surprised! Jane, the chef at Siam was also very friendly and accommodated whatever we asked for, provided that the Kitchen was in stock. My dad raved about the cod. The cod is best cod that I have ever tasted. It comes off in layers! The thai food was equally amazing! If not better, it is definitely of the same standard as Sukothai's Celadon! And the wonderful thing is that the prices are reasonable! There was really no point for us to eat outside of the hotel because it would just be a big disappointment if we ate elsewhere. The food at this hotel is a big wow factor! We even rejected our Butler's restaurant recommendations in the city and decided to take a one hour cab ride back to have dinner. It was worth it. LOCATION Yes.. the location of the hotel is a downside. But then again, if it wasn't out in Dusit and isolated from everything, you wouldn't be able to get the Urban luxury Resort vibe. On weekdays, the hotel is not as fully booked, and we felt we were in our own private mansion, swimming pool and private chef and kitchen! I would only recommend taking the hotel's boat to Saphan Taksin when you leave the hotel for the day. The schedule is harder to accommodate for those that want to return to the hotel from Saphan Taksin BTS. Our butler recommended us to take a cab to Siam Paragon and it was only a ride of about half an hour costing less than 100 baht. The neighborhood that the hotel is built in is near the palace where the Thai King's children currently resides. It is a five minute drive to the Dusit Zoo Safari. It will be a hassle getting back to the hotel especially in the evening.. the traffic in Dusit is crazy! But the hotel is so amazing.. that getting stuck in traffic is still worth it if you have the time to spare. In conclusion, I recommend this hotel to those that know Bangkok well enough and want a short relaxing getaway while having access to the rest of the city. I will only be staying at the Siam for any future trips I make to Bangkok.. well that is unless some other new amazing hotel makes its debut in this city.

We have just returned from a blissful weekend at The Siam. The property is really beautiful, full of antique furniture and artwork while maintaining a very zen and minimalist vibe. The bathtub in our suite was the highlight of the accommodation for me, I took three baths in 36 hours. The staff were amongst the most attentive of anywhere we have stayed and went out of their way to help (big thanks to our butler An!) without it feeling over the top. The spa isvery luxurious and personalized and two days later I am still relaxed from the massage I had there. The Siam offers a frequent boat shuttle service to the city and this was the perfect balance between the relaxation of this beautiful hotel and the chaos of the city. We had dinner at the hotel the night we arrived and it was very authentic - fresh and spicy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok and I am looking forward to returning.
"Stunning Suites but Remote and Boring BKK Location"
06/24/14 SeabournFan Vancouver, Canada
The Siam in Bangkok provides an exceptional and authentic Thai hotel/resort experience - without ever having to ever leave BKK... A solid choice to spend your $1000/day. The good: With the exception of the (2) entry level suite categories (they have no view and are rather dark) the Riverview Suites are unique and truly luxurious. Friends were staying in a Riverside Villa, and while very spacious, they were just (more) square footage that wasn't really used. Breakfast was delicious and fun (but available in the restaurant only). The entire property is museum-like and exploring for a couple days was fascinating and locally inspiring. A welcome (and fresh) retreat from the BKK madness and a simply stellar service experience end to end. The Bad: Pricy drinks. Rather boring daytimes and dreadfully quiet evenings from sundown onwards. Limited options for distractions, cocktails, and dining etc. Spa timing was limited. Getting to/from alternative dining options and activities in central BKK was a daily timing requirement, and this required scheduling issue became tiresome when compared to more central hotel options. You will need a watch at The Siam. The Verdict: A rather expensive, remote, and boring option when compared to its peers. For a couple hundred LESS per night ($800/night) one can get a massive corner riverfront Mandarin View Room with balcony at the Oriental and enjoy (more) luxury and service and space, but also endless restaurants, distractions (and a much better spa), not to mention easy access to all of Bangkok's best distractions, dining, and shopping...(which is why your in BKK and not in Koh Samui) in the first place. The Mandarin Oriental is still our first choice in BKK, no watches required. The Siam would only be a good choice if you don't have the time to leave BKK to get to one of the island or northern resorts.
"A perfect hotel/resort experience"

My partner and I recently enjoyed a short stay in a Pool Villa at The Siam. Quite simply this property is faultless. Our villa was gorgeous - spacious, stylish and provided everything we could want. The common areas and facilities are beyond beautiful, we had an amazing spa experience, enjoyed the common area pool overlooking the river and the pool in our villa. However it is probably the service which makes this property so special. I am sure the staff have ESP - they predicted our needs before we even knew we had needs! The butler service is a true butler service. Ours was a delight and always nearby to look after us. Literally anything you could want is catered for. The Executive Chef Jane created two delicious meals, and the General Manager Jason made sure we were enjoying our stay. Whilst the property is a little out of central Bangkok, a stylish boat will ferry you down a short distance to a nearby BTS station, from which you can access everything quickly and easily. We cannot recommend a stay at The Siam more highly. We will definitely be back soon.
"over the top service"

the hotel is absolutely beautiful but the real standout is the exceptional service.from our butler to the entire staff. the culmination being when our butler and General Manager Jason Friedman joined us in their launch for our trip to our next destination. They brought along wine and food and created a party along the way. It was over and above and the highlight of our trip. The hotel is terrific and one of the best my wife and I have ever stayed in
