I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

This hotel is good value for the money. The room was big, clean and we had a great view of the canal. The hotel is very close to tram stations, restaurants and super markets. We would definitely consider this hotel again.

Very new, clean, and comfortable hostel, but it's a bit out of the way (in Zeeburg). You'll definitely need to buy public transportation passes (~7.00... Eur for daily) in order to get to all the sights. Also a bit of an older crowd -- if you're hoping to meet other young travelers, look elsewhere. Not a bad experience. But , I really didn't like the towel policy. The front desk justified this policy for hygienic reasons (!?!?). Next time, may be I will travel with my own pillow, sheets and mattress or I will buy a brand new at the front desk to follow the hygiene rules.

As it was my first stay in a hostel I was quite nervous about it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. As we have booked a room with our own shower, 2 of us were staying in a room with 6 beds. Of course there was nothing special about the room or 2 level beds, but it was clean and that's what matters. I was also surprised with the breakfast that was […] included in the price. I have been to this hostel for a weekends trip to Amsterdam. I did not have experience of staying in hostels much but definitely I can say this is not a hostel. We can consider it as a hotel itself. It provides all kind of service starting from : breakfast (included in booking), dinner (you need to pay extra) , vending machines for soft drinks and chocolates, […] canal cruise tickets (with a much discounted price), GVB pass for city trip. Overall it was a fantastic stay and reception was very helpful and kind. The hotel location was great, one can reach any city center location within 10-15 minutes. This hostel is better than hotels I have stayed in. They put 2 of us in a private 6 person room just because we wanted our own shower and toilet. Breakfast is great and you could go back up for more anytime. Slightly out of centre but only 5 minutes by the number 14 tram or 30 minutes walk. Rent bikes from the hotel they're great.

방 천장이 굉장히 높고 유리창이 큼. 중앙역에서는 조금 멀어서 트램 한번 환승하고 30분정도 걸림. 밤에 도착할 경우 호스텔 찾기가 힘들 수 있음. 조식은 매우 만족스러움. 삶은달걀과 과일도 제공함. 밤에는 바가 됨. 수학여행으로 오는 숙박객이 많아서 다소 혼잡스럽고 시끄러울 수 있음. 인터넷 속도가 다소 느림.

전체적인 시설은 깔끔하고 직원도 친절한 편입니다. 거리는 암스테르담 시내에서 조금 떨어져있는데 트램(14번?)타고 담락광장가는 것 있으니까 트램이용하시면 그닥 불편하지는 않습니다.

Personal im Hostel geben alle benötigten Informationen und können alle Fragen beantworten. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, besonders Badezimmer und Dusche sind gut geputzt. Die Lage ist super, Zeeburg ist auch sehenswert und bis zur Innenstadt sind es nur 10 min mit der Tram. Haltestellen direkt vor der Tür. Park & Ride auch fast um die Ecke. Besonders […] möchte ich noch das Frühstück hervorheben. Gute Auswahl auch für Vegetarier. Zwei Sorten Käse und super leckeres Müsli. Frühstücksbereich ebenfalls sehr sauber. Einziges Kriterium: Die riesige Kaffee-Espresso-Cappuccino-Maschine stank etwas, sowas ich mich nicht an den Kaffee getraut habe. Kann aber auch eine Ausnahme an diesem Tag gewesen sein. Alles in allem auf jeden Fall ein top Hostel!! PS: Eintrittkarten für einige Museen kann man im Hostel günstiger kaufen als an den Verkaufsstellen. Read more
