Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Buckhannon - Buckhannon

The hotel was very clean. Room was a little small but overall very nice. We only stayed one night but would stay there again. About 13 miles to destination but also got to visit places we had never been. Going back in the fall will definitely stay here.

Room was clean. Occasionally smelled cigarette smoke through the vents. Tried the complimentary breakfast one morning. Are biscuits supposed to be crunchy? Little interaction with staff, but professional in those instances. Might be an ideal place for witness protection.

Everything was fantastic about this place. The housekeeping, staff and the breakfast was great. My daughter goes to college down here and I will be staying here every time we come and visit her. A++++++

Fairly new hotel and service and room was fine. Everything as advertised with fridge and microwave in room. Only problem was that items on the breakfast buffet ran out and they were not restocked. Would stay here again.

Evenything was great. It is a great place to stay for a rural area. Breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. Staff of the hotel were very accommodating and friendly. I will definately stay there again.

Found this fairly new hotel clean and neat, however - room was very small. No lamps, only overhead lighting and no seating other than one hardback chair and beds. Should have bedside outlets in this age of technology. Only one outlet in bathroom as well. Did not find the price to reflect any "bargain or value" . THE HOTEL AND ROOM WERE VERY NICE. WE LIKED THE WINDOW SEAT. THAT WAS A NICE TOUCH. A BAD STORM CAME THRU AND KNOCKED OUT ALL THE POWER IN THE AREA SO WE HAD NO POWER FOR THE ENTIRE NITE. Due to a freak wind storm the power went out. I understand the motel isn't at fault but I think they should have emergency lights in the rooms. And windows that open. It was 97 degrees that day and the room was sweltering. They need more provisions for power outages. And no promised breakfast due to it, either.

We stayed at this hotel prior to visiting our sons college, Wesleyan. The hotel was in good shape. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. The hotel had a large number of bikers and construction workers in it which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere for a family. The hotel worker was busy on the phone and outside smoking each time I went […] to the desk to talk with her on minor issues with the room. The room was nice but had a large crack in the window. The hotel employee knew of it and said it would be a year before it was repaired so the hotel doesn't seem to interested in keeping up the new hotel. The hotel can't be responsible for the city of Buckhannon but the immediate area businesses made the visit uncomfortable to the point we didn't eat at a nearby restaurant and instead got food to take back to the hotel. I'm sure this was because the town is not a culturally diverse town so the reaction we received was likely due to this. Read more
