"Great appartment at super location"
This was one of the best places we have ever been, certainly if we take "price/value" into consideration. Excellent location, super comfortable and large appartment with very complete kitchen and even washer/dryer. Only thin you need to know is that rooms are cleaned only every three days - but there was no problem with that for us. Perfect for friends […] traveling together or families. Very spacious rooms ,, a pleasant stay with many stores and restorents close by. It is however a bit far from Arens, magic fountine, the harbor. 11euro if taking a taxi, you are better of with a bus ticket. If you main target is Sagrda Famila, then one of the best places to be.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious, clean, modern close to Sagrada Familia"
Excellent location...near Hop on Hop Off Bus Stop and metro. Walk through the park to Sagrada Familia. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Can't beat the price and location. We traveled with our 4 kids and had more than enough space for everyone. And you have a washing machine and dryer!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Apartments close to Sagrada Familia"
EXCELLENT!!! Staff is great, they upgraded our one room + living room apartment to a 3 bedroom that was absolutely awesome. The only thing we didn't like was that the picture from the terrace is from the building next door, that you can go, but it's not really there.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice apartment that was mostly as advertised."
Everything as expected and learned from other ratings. Friendly staff, room cleaned daily and the location were biggest pluses. The room had a few minor repair issues including loose laminate flooring, damaged trim and several wall scuffs needing paint, but that wouldn't prevent me from staying here. First time traveling to Europe so hard to compare […] the room value, but I would stay hear again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This was the perfect place to stay we had a 3 bedroom apartment fully equipped very clean and mordern. You have everything you need to make a meal and even a washer & dryer the only thing is that I wish they would have had complimentary coffee or tea (they charge you for it) The supermarket was right across the street, the apartment it located just […] up the block from La Sagrada Familia and the hop on & off tour bus which we used for 2 days as it is the best way to get around in the city! The must surprising thing is how affordable this place was vs hotels. I would absolutely without a doubt stay here again it was great! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This apartment is a germ. They have outstanding service, a brilliant location and formidable amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They attended to all our requests in a timely manner and always with a great smile. The apartments are very well kept and modern. The amenities are superb: they have fully equipped kitchen, washer and drier, […] modern bathroom and a big flat screen TV. The decoration is modern and inviting. The location is brilliant. They are located only a block away from La Sagrada Familia and metro stations (a short five minute walk). There is a grocery store across the street, which is extremely convenient. Moreover they are restaurants and pubs within the same block. I will stay at this apartment next time I visit Barcelona with my family. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect place for my family"
Castro Exclusive Residences SPA Sagrada Familia is located on a quiet street in L'Eixample two blocks from the Sagrada Familia and three blocks from two different metro subway lines, which provided quick access to any place in the city. We spent eight nights in Barcelona. The neighborhood is safe to walk at night with kids, the Sagrada Familia is at […] your doorstep, and there are many good restaurants and cafes nearby. Our family of five likes to walk, however...we only used the metro a few times, and never to get to the Ciutat Vella, Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia shopping district, the beaches, the Gracia barrio/Guell Park, or Citidel Park/Arc de Triomf. It is all very walkable from castro Exclusive Residences SPA Sagrada Familia, if that is what you want to do....and we did. Urban hiking at it's finest! The room was clean and well appointed. Two adults and three older children fit comfortably in the three bedroom apartment, which had a working kitchen, washer/dryer, two showers, working wi-fi, and a nice livingroom area. The staff was wonderful. They arranged for us to get our room at 9:30 AM when we arrived, and called the cab service for our pick up at 4:30 AM the following week, and answered any questions we had about the city. The room had good maid service, clean towels...everything you would expect. Additionally, there is a grocery store and a cafe to get your morning coffee right across the street from the hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Lots of Room"
The room was very big. Large dining area, 3 nice size bedrooms, and 2 baths. We were traveling with 3 families (13 people) so it was a great gathering area. The staff was friendly but not always present. There is no one at the desk at night and keys to rooms are assessible to others. They were not very accomodating when asking for amenities. We were […] without toilet paper for 3 days even though we asked 4 times and we had to borrow from other guests. The apt is over a nursery day care. It is noisy in the morning. The location is very close to Sagrada Familia about a 5 minute walk. The spa is nice but you do have to walk to the next building to assess it. Be sure to have plenty of passes or they won't let you in. All in all it was nice and it was comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious and Modern!"
So glad that we chose to stay here. The apartment was very spacious and all of the applicances were quite modern. We rented a three bedroom, two bath unit. The access to the spa and gym were very enjoyable. The front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The air conditioner was wonderful. The decor was very modern and comfortable. The location was ideal […] if you do not mind walking a bit. We really enjoyed this hotel. To be really nitpicky, the carpet right in front of our front door was a bit soiled. The shower in the master bedroom was very nice in regards to size, showerheads, and finishings. We would definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"good choice for a family vacation"
i have two teens and they enjoyed having their own rooms and bathroom. the apartment felt like home away from home with well functioning ktichen and i appreciated having a dishwasher, washer and dryer! although you have to buy everything from salt/pepper, laundry soap, cooking oil, ...etc. On the downside, the WIFI was very weak the whole time we were […] there (4 days), although the staff said they were working on it. the location was great to see the Sagrada Familia but it was a good distance from the rest of the sites. "Nice central apartment"
The apartments are well equipped and clean. Unfortunately on arrival on the Saturday we were put into apartment 2.3. It took some time to realise why the floor was permanently wet - we thought initially it wasn't drying as the ventilation in the bathroom was poor. The bidet was leaking a white liquid. When we reported this the following day (day 2 of […] a four night stay) and we were told they were aware of it and it would be fixed the next day. By this time it was getting really bad. We returned to the apartment that night and were allocated a new one as it could not be fixed. If you are allocated apartment 2.3 do not accept it unless they can guarantee the leak has been fixed. They put us in the apartment over busy weekend knowing it was leaking and we only got the apartment changed when there was a spare one after the weekend. The receptionist will also do a hard sale when you arrive for certain tourist attraction tickets. Do not be persuaded to purchase these as they seem to have some deal with a local travel agent and you will end up paying a premium. We paid 30 euros for tickets to Segrada Familia when we could have got them for 20. Also the reception desk is only staffed until early evening. We met a family with 2 small children on Tuesday night about midnight who had just arrived and were unable to access their apartment. No note or phone number had been left advising them of how they could get access to their apartment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
What can I say, this did exactly what it said on the tin! Friendly staff, fantastic accomodation, ideal location what more can you ask for. Castro Exclusive Residences was just that. We have just returned after a weeks stay, with 17 year old son. The apartments themselves have everything you could ask for. Airy lounge and living area, comfortable bedrooms […] and ensuite shower in double bedroom was amazing, although took a bit of working out! The apartments were cleaned everyday, and although the reception was not manned all the time it was never a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, the staff in the neighbouring Metropolitan Spa were also very friendly and you can't stay in these apartments without making use of this exceptional spa. The location of Castro Residences was literally five minutes walk to Sagrada Familia, also Sagrada Familia Metro and Verdagauer Metro station in the opposite direction. There is a well stocked, reasonably priced supermarket across from the apartments as well as numerous eateries in the Sagrada District. It is a good 30 minute walk to the bustle of Las Ramblas, however with the metro you can get about in no time. It is worthwhile investing in a Barcelona Card which is really good value for money. Definitely one to return to. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A shame about the pool"
The accommodation was perfect: well maintained, newly decorated and furnished. The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. The apartment location was superb - not such a touristy area (despite being round the corner from Sagrada Familia). It felt as though we were living with the locals. The only issue we had was with the Pool. We chose the hotel […] because we had our three children with us, and wanted to be able to use a hotel pool to relax in after walking round Barcelona. It was only when we arrived, we were told the facilities were actually next door to the hotel and we had to have a minimum age of 17 to use them - which was no good for us. The hotel said we could use a local, public pool (for which they would reimburse us). When we went to use that, it was equally unsuitable as the pool was only set out for lane swimming - not for children to be able to "play" in the pool. It may be that this is the norm in Barcelona, but I think it should be made clearer in your literature/website. We also thought there was meant to be a roof terrace on the apartment building - but when we went up there, it was just a roof and obviously not set up for sitting out in. "Nice apartment close to Sagrada Familia"
It was really a good choice to stay in these apartments instead of a hotel room. It was the comfort of home with facilities of a hotel. The staff is always smiling and very helpful. It s very close to Sagrada Familia and about 10 min taxi ride to town centre. Especially would recommend if you are travelling with children.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Spacious and convenient"
The apartment was clean, large and convenient. We purchased the daily breakfast and enjoyed that since we have young children. One less thing to worry about daily besides being a tourist and having fun. Walking was nice but also easy to catch a cab. The area had locals and many tourists so everything to suit your needs. It seemed more relaxed so if […] you're a young party person it may not be where you're looking to stay. I can't say it was quiet at night but we enjoy the sounds of the city. We didn't use the spa next door but would have if it was a vacation holiday as a couple. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Ok value 4 money, well located, not child-friendly"
We travelled with family: a couple, our 5 year-old nephew and a grandmother as baby-sitter. The apartment was spacious, clean, neat and tidy. A variety of toiletries was provided. The kitchen was very well equipped, from champagne glasses to electronics. The only thing that did not work was the air-conditioning, but we did not need it at this time of […] year. Noise not too bad if you do not mind children playing loud under your balcony (a kindergarten is on the ground floor); during the night it is very silent. If you like sunshine, get a balcony towards the back, above the kindergarten, as some rooms, especially those giving on the inner yard, are always in the shade and dark. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to Sagrada Familia and the main areas of Barcelona are easily accessible by metro; the station is only 200m away from the main entrance. Apart from this, the neighbourhood is not very exciting. There are mainly shops and touristy restaurants. A 15-minute walk away you find local, non-tourist areas, with nice options for meals at very decent prices. One negative aspect: although the hotel website advertises a beautiful spa with swimming pool, children under 17 are not allowed access. This was a great disappointment for the child, and we also felt a bit cheated, since we chose this particular hotel because of the swimming pool. This said, we enjoyed our stay and would probably return there, although not if we have a child with us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent facilities with well equipped kitchen, bathroom and very comfortable living area. "Great Barcelona Apartments"
Stayed here with a group of friends for a weekend in January. Apartments are in a great location very close to the Sagrada Familia - partial view of the cathedral from our balcony. We stayed in a 3 bed, 2 bathroom apartment. Lovely clean, modern apartment with well equipped kitchen and great living/dining room area. Reception staff were friendly and […] helpful. Breakfast was served in the hotel next door (The Metropolitan) - good breakfast of croissants, bacon, toast, scrambled egg, cold meat and cheese. The Metropolitan is also where the spa is located - we didn't use the spa or swimming pool but it looked great. Location wise, it's easy to walk to Passeig de Gracia, Ramblas etc - but if you don't fancy walking the metro is quick, easy and cheap (especially with the T10 card). We took train/metro to and form the airport - the Zone 1 T10 covers you to the airport - so again really cheap. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
My family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed at castro exclusive residences for a week in Jan 2014. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Sagrada Familia. The area is very nice, with a lot of friendly locals and some quirky cafes at walking distance. The apartment was perfect for us, tastefully decorated and with plenty of space. There was […] ample wardrobe space (with 3 females in the family, we don't travel light!), and the kitchen was well equipped. There is a supermarket across the road which we used on a daily basis (the people running the supermarket made a huge fuss of my 3-year old, which she loved!) The staff at the reception were knowledgeable and helpful, and were always smiling! If I had to note some downsides (and I am nit-picking here) then the system of needing a token every time you wanted to use the pool and spa is a bit tedious, maybe there should be a pass for your entire stay? Also if you needed extra washing powder there was a charge of 3 euros (we just bought a small box from the supermarket for cheaper!). Overall, we are very pleased...loved the hotel, loved the city. We will be coming back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just not for us three"
We've probably just been spoilt by some of the places we've stayed, and for us this place was very poor value for money. For a large family or group of friends or for a long break, the place could suit you. I chose these apartments for a short break in Barcelona. I was looking for somewhere quiet for sleeping and with an indoor swimming pool as it was […] winter. The location was quieter than La Ramblas, but there was lots of noise from other rooms, an annoying vibration every 5 minutes probably from the metro and occasionally noise from outside. All this stopped my husband from sleeping, but to others may be less of an issue. I didn't read the small print and didn't notice that our inclusive spa pool didn't take children. The Apartments did kindly pay for us to use a local swimming pool. The kitchen looked nice, but we didn't use this as only there for a couple of nights. It is spacious, but 2 of the bedrooms are not luxurious. My daughter didn't want to sleep in one as she thought it looked like a cell. The main bedroom was lovely. It was just a little irritating to wait around for reception to start work or wait for the 1 person to come back the the front desk or for the room to be cleaned. "Great location and fantastic set up for families"
We (two adults and our three sons, aged 16, 14 and 11) stayed at the Castro Exclusive over new year. The apartment was spacious, well furnished and very well stocked with everything you'd expect it to have - it even has a washing machine and tumble dryer should you feel inclined to do some washing. It was exceptionally clean - all rooms were thoroughly […] cleaned daily, despite one of the days being a public holiday. It's in a brilliant location - less than 5 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia and within easy walking distance of Las Ramblas, L'Arc de Triomphe and many of the wonderful sites of Barcelona. It is also close to a number of tube stations - very useful when our legs and feet became weary. We had a couple of problems with understanding how things worked in the apartment and the staff could not have been more helpful, responsive or friendly. There is a good supermarket opposite the apartments and great local restaurants if you prefer not to cook/make anything while you're there. We opted for the breakfast package and would strongly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great place to stay in the heart of Barcelona"
The location of these apartments is fantastic - 1 minute walk to Antoni Gaudis Segrada Familia. Nice area with bars and restaurants, our 13 year old couldn't believe I picked such a cool place to stay! Rooms high spec modern with a delightful interesting twist of design. All facilities, micro, fridge wash machine, dishwasher up to date. Bed extremely comfortable, Shower, power. Staff (day) very nice pleasant and helpful. Absolutely would recommend but would like managers to have some communication with clientelle, I was aware of none. Locks on windows […] not working, yes you are a few floors up, but tourists are a bit nervous about staying in a foreign place and leaving their possessions on going out, it's a little thing to fix, get the man in to fix them, (what's it gonna cost?) a hundred Euros maybe? if so, I would go back tomorrow if not, well. "Perfect base to explore the city!"
We went to Barcelona for a girls trip away and stayed for 3 nights - we were really pleased with our choice! Initially we had looked for a hotel but a room for 3 was cramped and these self catering apartments looked great - we were not disappointed! 3 bedrooms (one en suite), 4 beds (1 king and 3 singles) and a spare mattress, lovely kitchen and living […] area, tonnes of space for the three of us. The shower in the en-suite was massive! The Spa access was a real advantage, we loved the relaxation pool with water massage chairs and jets, the sauna and steam rooms were great too. Practicalities: There's a supermarket directly opposite the apartments and La Sagrada is only steps away. The reception staff spoke perfect English and were very friendly and helpful. There's a Metro station 5 mins away with good connections all over the city although for 3 of us a taxi was borderline cheaper and faster (metro = 2 euro for a single journey, taxi for 10 mins = 6 euro ish. A taxi to the airport from the apartments cost us 40 euro. **Beware the water bottles at the bedside, luckily we noticed the 5 euro price tags on the side of them before opening and the pretty teabags in the kitchen are all charged individually - we chose not to use any but I can see how you could be caught out.** All in all we loved it and would stay again and recommend to a friend without hesitation =D Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

An excellent apartment with all the facilities.Excellent wifi internet, handy for booking tickets online. Away from the beach and clubs so a quieter area but Sagrada Familia nearby has good restaurants, takeaways, tapas bars and there numerous mini markets Spa,pool, its not worth worrying about as the pools in Barcelona are only for serious swimming […] not for children. And being a quiet area you have to strain to hear much noise . "Good value for Barcelona"
The hotel was modern and clean. One block away from Sagrada Familia and the metro. The staff were helpful though not always available (be ware after 6 pm there is no staff). We had a 3 bedroom ( more like 2 kids bedrooms and one regular size bedroom). The wall in the bedrooms could you use a little paintaing but other than that the appartment was clean […] and has modern appliances (including washer and dryer which we found very handy). Advices: 1) Do not rent a car (too expensive to park. Metro and taxi are plenty) 2) Grab your taxi on the street instead of having the staff at the hotel call them for you (this should save you a few euros as well). 3) If you have a chance, try the lamb at the restaurant Fondo do mare (on the same street but opposite to Sagrada) it is to die for... 4) You must take the city tour bus (start with the orange circuit).
